On the recommendation of a local electrical supply company, I contacted the provider to rewire an antique chandelier and took it to their shop. I was initially told it would take a week of so before they could get to it. When I followed up a couple of weeks later, I was told no one had yet looked at it. Two more weeks later, I checked back again and was told nobody had looked at it, that they only had a retired electrician who came in occasionally to do this type of work, and it being summer, they didn't know when or if he would show up! If this was the case, WHY did they offer to do the work in the first place or fail to give me a more accurate estimate of the time it would take to complete the job??? At the initial contact, I also asked for a service call for help with a non-critical wiring problem in our home. I reiterated this request on the two subsequent calls. Each time I was told I was on their call list. Now, almost two weeks after the last call, I have heard nothing from them. The house is not in danger of burning down or anything, but I fully expected the work to be done within a reasonable amount of time. I find their customer service approach wholly unprofessional. Since I can't get them to do any work, I can't judge what the quality or cost of their work would have been.

The work was done within the time specified by McHenry. The electrician was professional and prompt. He arrived early each morning and worked all day, with just a lunch break. He cleaned up the area he was workiing in at the end of each day. The office staff were courteous and friendly. I feel that the cost was more than reasonable. I would definitely recommend McHenry Electric for their quality work and reasonable prices. In fact, I plan to use them to do some work on a house I have for sale, and also for some more electrical work in the basement of the house I live in.

I haven't received the bill yet so I'm not sure about the price. The experience was pretty good. They actually arrived on time. They got the job done in about 4 hours which was less than I thought. He was pretty courteous and I was pretty happy. He did the work pretty much to my satisfaction. The quality of work seems pretty good. I would absolutely use them again.
