BEWARE!!! I have been waiting since June for a roof/gutter install to be completed. I just received a letter dated 8/31/22 saying this company is "closing its doors". I cannot get a hold of the salesperson (JEFF DUSCHL) or production manager (LUIS ISHIKAWA) and I'm afraid I will have to seek legal action to get my deposit back.

We paid a deposit in April of 2022 and still no roof in almost September of 2022. They have stopped replying to any communication.

Went well except the weather did not want to cooperate.

Top shelf service. Shield's price wasn't the lowest but they were the most professional. My sales guy Mike G. was great and very helpful & the all Shield people I interacted with were upstanding pros. They were punctual and unbelievably fast. One day on, one day off- on a complicated roof in the dead of winter no less. I like to save money where I can but I have no regrets because of Shield's great warranty (on their workmanship not the typical manufacturer warranty), conscientious design on my complex roof and pro approach put me at ease. A couple small issues arose but they handled them better than I could have expected. A roof isn’t something to roll the dice on- I highly recommend Shield Roofing.

What a great job they did! Fast and responsive and a great price! I loved the warranty options. My contact, Mike Groom, even had the workers replace an entire piece of fascia just because they had gotten a small smudge of grime on it free of charge. Highly recommend for home owners in Morgantown, WV!

Shield did an excellent job on our roof. They communicated with us every step of the way, answered our questions, and did great work. Our new roof looks awesome.

They came quickly for an estimate after I noticed some shingles missing after a wind storm. They explained things well and placed a temporary patch on my roof. They were helpful at explaining the insurance process and were very knowledgable. They got my roof replaced quickly and were easy to get in touch with any time I had questions. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Very pleased with the work that Shield completed in both shingle and gutter replacement. Would definitely recommend them to others and consider them for any future jobs.

Shield roofing worked very quickly to meet our needs and now the roofs and gutters on both our house and garage look great! The only issues were that they showed up late the first day, so they had to come back and finish up on a second day when we were told the full job would be finished in one day. Also I’m still finding random nails and scraps of gutters around the exterior of our home which is upsetting because I have two young kids who don’t love wearing shoes.

Shield Roofing was very easy to work with from the beginning. The team arrived a day earlier than originally scheduled and completed the roof in less than 2 days, start to finish. When they were completed, they went over the yard and landscaping twice to ensure all the nails and materials were cleaned up. I would highly recommend Shield Roofing.

They came out and worked from daylight til dark tore off 2 layers of shingles and replaced them in 2 days in the cold weather when it was in the teens outside and they didn't even take a break. They laid tarps all around house before they started taring off old roof. then when they were done they cleaned up mess and used a magnetic roller that picked up all nails. And roof never leaked at all so far after Shield Roofing replaced the roof and we have had downpours since that. And before it was leaking everywhere and i had several other people work on it and they didn't get it fixed other roofers just wasted my money on material and labor.

Good job replacing roof, siding and gutters. Had a few minor quality issues but they were resolved.

Shield Roofing & Construction was excellent. They were quick to respond initially and provide a quote. The quote was reasonable but their warranty is terrific. The repair time was scheduled quickly, materials were ordered and delivered before project started. The work was done quickly, it was clean and with good quality. Very impressed!

After a hail storm in May of this year that damaged our roof and siding I called Shield. Jeff Duschi worked with our insurance and we got a new roof and the entire house in new siding. We decided it looked so good after the job was complete we asked them to do our gutters as well. Great to work with and stand behind their pledge.

They did an awesome job. I would recommend them to anyone. Shield Roofing is a very effective and efficient company that does top notch work very quickly. I'd wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

It went exceptionally well! From the sales person to the installers it was a wonderful experience! So polite and professional. They did an awesome job on my roof and cleaned up after they were done. I can't say enough good things! They were so very affordable! I would recommend them to everyone who needs work done!

After getting multiple quotes this company was the most reasonable, with what we wanted to do. They took the time to give us pictures throughout the entire process. Scheduling was easy, and all staff were professional from the initial quote to the support staff that took final payment. Will recommend to anyone!

We were told the contractors would be there one week or the other. They showed up at 8:00 Friday morning unannounced. The shingles had never even been delivered. I️ work from home and planned on taking the day off they came due to the noise but that obviously never happened. We were not told we needed to cover our patio things which were brand new covers and furniture. We assumed since they were “professionals” they would do it. Well they never covered a thing. We have a resin porch with an oil stain on it that atleast did come out. The porch was absolutely filthy. We had shingles in our flowers instead of in their bin. The contractors would stand on the roof and drop bundles of shingles which made the house shake. There were cigarette buds in our yard and nails everywhere. We had to pay someone to clean our driveway it was so filthy and my chair covers will not come clean. The gentleman who did a walk around afterwards did not go on the roof to see if it was done properly. After he left, my husband noticed that the cap had not been finished on our building. They finally came and finished that after a week. I️ also forgot to mention that when they came back Saturday morning to finish the job they were outside at 6:20 in the dark. They acted like it was the middle of the day. My one neighbor apparently had some words with them over the disrespect of them showing up at a home at 6:20 in the morning. I️ talked with a gentleman out of Pittsburgh I️ was told to call about my issues. He acted very disturbed and even said he was “****** off” at listening to my story. He said he was going to talk to the owners of the GAF company and let them know of this situation that should have been a pleasant professional experience. He apologized and said he would call me no later than Monday, which was 4 days later. Well guess what? After calling numerous times and leaving messages with a person who honestly sounded sincere, he never called me back or bothered to answer his phone. He made me feel like he understood. Wow what a hoax. We did receive a check for 100.00 dollars to help cover the cost of us cleaning the driveway but it didn’t pay for the filthy covers I️ have that won’t come clean and all of the disrespect that as homeowners we weren’t shown. I️ hope you take the time to read this. Our roof looks beautiful but the crew was anything but respectful. We were told we should have been introduced to the crew foreman. Really?? This is just giving people a heads up. None of us ever know who we are hiring unless we know them personally. People kiss your feet to get your business but after that it is “who are you”. The former metal roof was laid on top of asphalt shingles. After removing the shingles it was discovered that there was extensive rotting of wood and we would need to replace portions of our post & beam ceiling/roof. I can't say that the process went without heartache, but overall they were very helpful, considerate, professional, etc. No extensive job goes without a hitch, but after everything was finished, we are confident that our roof will last for 40 + years. I would not hesitate to recommend them at all.
