I've have owned my home for two years now. This year, my furnace continually stopped running. After talking with my neighbor, I was told that the previous owner had the same problem with the furnace. Living in Westover, I like to keep work local. I contacted Mr. Josh Rice, of Parks Heating and Cooling. There was other work that I was getting done in my furnace room at the same time. Everything had to be done on a schedule. Josh removed the old furnace, took it away, and then came back several days later, to put in a new furnace, once the other work was completed. Reasons that I would highly recommend Josh Rice and Parks Heating and Cooling: - Josh was friendly, competent and courteous. He answered any questions that I had. He is a family-oriented person. Parks Heating and Cooling was started by his grandfather, the business is local and been around for awhile. Josh worked well with the other individuals who were also working on my house, even though it involved working on a schedule with them. -As an added bonus, I have a small fireplace insert that I couldn't get to work at all last year. Josh figured out what needed to be done and had it up and running in about 20 minutes. (Pilot lights, etc.) In other words, he knows what he's doing. -Several times, when my furnace stopped working, he took time out from family time to start the old furnace up, so that I wouldn't be left in the cold. - I feel totally comfortable recommending Josh Rice and Parks Heating and Cooling. My neighbor recently used their services as well, for a furnace/airconditioner, and is happy with the results. From a satisfied (and warm)! customer!

Park Heating and Cooling did an excellent job of removing my existing 50-year old furnace, which wasn't easy, and installing a new, high-efficiency furnace in its place.

My air conditioner stopped working on one of the hottest evenings of the year two days before I was due to leave for vacation. Josh came the next afternoon. We had to wait for a part to arrive, and the July 4 holiday interfered with delivery. I ended up trying to coordinate everything from 700 miles away through Miranda and Brandy, the office staff. Apparently they don't talk to each other because I got a couple of really nutty phone messages, but in the end, everything worked out. (Their voices sound similar, so it took me a bit to realize that I was talking to two different people.) When Josh completed the repair from outside the house, he gave me a call to tell me what he did, and he actually offered to just mail a bill to me rather than take a credit card number over the phone. I called my neighbor to go over to turn the system back on, and I came home to a perfectly cool house. The very reasonable bill came in the mail a few days after I got home.

I have been very satisfied by their service. They are always on time and usually very professional. This last time they sent some younger guys who just went to work. They didn't really communicate much and spent a bit of their time hanging around their truck. I double checked what they did because I wasn't sure they really did the work. They didn't clean the filter like usual. However, overall I am satisfied and would use them again and again.

Getting a hold of them during the estimate process was a bit of a pain but nothing like the other HVAC companies in the area (they were HORRIBLE). Work was completed on time and was well done. Would recommend.
