Panhandle Cleaning and Restoration, Inc., was founded in 1977 in Wheeling, WV, by Robert Contraguerro Sr. Through the years, Panhandle has grown in size, scope, and resources. Today, Panhandle is the largest disaster response company in West Virginia with 150 employees, a fleet of 125 vehicles, and locations in Wheeling & Morgantown, WV, and Pittsburgh, PA. Panhandle Cleaning and Restoration employees are standing by 24/7 to respond to multiple losses at any size property. Joining Bob Sr., at Panhandle each day is his wife, Jody, and sons, Bob Jr., Tom and Josh. Bob Sr., has followed a simple philosophy to “remain faithful to our core values of fairness, honesty and quality of work on every job.” Panhandle Cleaning and Restoration services have also expanded over the past four decades, offering disaster mitigation and reconstruction services in addition to residential and commercial cleaning, carpet cleaning, duct cleaning, mold remediation, personal property cleaning, moving and storage. Panhandle’s cleaning services include basics like carpet cleaning and janitorial service, as well as specialized services like ultrasonic cleaning, new construction clean-up and dry ice blasting. A 65,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility is stocked with emergency drying equipment, disaster response vehicles, trailers and emergency generators ready to move at a moment’s notice. So when flood waters rise, pipes burst, or sewage backs up, Panhandle Cleaning and Restoration is ready to respond. Recovering from a fire can be an overwhelming ordeal, but Panhandle Cleaning and Restoration’s certified disaster professionals are ready for the call. Emergency teams quickly secure structures, stabilize the environment and jump start the recovery process. Fire emergencies present complex challenges given the combined effects of smoke, fire and water on contents and the structure. Panhandle’s fire experts are the total solution for eliminating smoke odor, decontaminating clothing and furniture, and restoring the buildings inside and out. All I can say is STAY AWAY from this company. Unfortunately, other people I have talked to have said they had experienced the same thing.
Description of Work: I requested an estimate for both Mold Remediation/Removal and Reconstruction due to a water line back up (Insurance Claim). I found the company via the Web search. Their site shows a FREE estimate; however when you call them they tell you there will be a $125.00 fee for the estimate. When I explained the web site said FREE, the secretary had to call me back and advised me they would go ahead and do the estimate for Free since they advertised as such. Their employee did come out to my home and spent only 30 minutes and said he would get back to us with an estimate. He told me to email him and he would reply to the email with the quote. I sent the email to him that evening. I allowed for a week to receive the estimate, I never received the estimate so I decided to call and make sure there was no issue with the email. I found out the secretary that told me the estimate would be Free was no longer employed there and I left a message for the gentlemen to call me back to discuss why I never received my estimate. I have still never received a call nor estimate from them.
