One Call Plumbing was not punctual. They told us they would be here to do the work on a certain day but did not come until one or two days later. They left a huge mess. They broke a window and didn't replace it and broke a composter and did not even mention it. They did not set the floor so that it would compact nicely so we had to redo the whole floor and re-level it. They put a pipe in for the overflow and just left it draining straight into the yard. About a month afterwards, the pipes blocked again and I called them. They didn't show until the next day. They did not use proper PVC pipe.
Description of Work: One Call Plumbing repaired some pipes under our house.

My family bought a bar with rooms for rent above the bar in July of 2008. At the end of August 2008 my basement had about an inch of water in it so I called One Call Plumbing. They sent someone that night who ran a snake through the drain but got the snake stuck. Because it was getting late they said they would be back the next day to get the snake unstuck but they did drain the water out of my basement before they left. The next day Josh Ryan came back with his men and they got the snake unstuck and while my father was here he told me that they could dig up the sewage lines to get it unplugged and reroute the existing soil piping inside for $4000. He left to get a contract for me to sign. When he came back my father had left and the price had gone up $3000 but we needed to get the work done so we agreed to the price. I gave him a $4000 down payment. My contract stated that they were "to install approx. 120 feet of trench to install sch 40 4" pipe to code outside." After they dug the ditch and started laying the pipe on a Monday they left for the day. One of my customers came in and told me I better go check because he was laying schedule 40, he was laying schedule 35. The next morning I met his workers outside and told them not to do anything until I talked to Josh. When he came we had an argument in my parking lot about the pipe. He told me that schedule 35 is just as good as schedule 40 and doesn't cost any less which I know is untrue because I used to work in a lumberyard and used to sell this stuff. He at one point in the argument said he would give me back my money and I said fine give me back my money and walked back into my building. He followed me and apologized, said he would replace the 35 with the 40 and would give me a 5 year warranty instead of the 1 year on the contract so I let them finish the work. I closed my business 1 afternoon so they could do the basement work. I was horrified when they finished because they had hung the pipe 1 foot to 2 foot from the ceiling so when you walk through the basement you have to duck under the pipe. They also had a broomstick propped under a T joint so that the pipe coming from my bathrooms in the bar was sloped up. I didn't say anything until they finished up the rest of the job. Josh's son came in and told they were finished and wanted the balance of the money. I took him in the basement and pointed to the broomstick. His reply was that they forgot to finish that. I also pointed out that in all these pipes hanging so low in my basement there was only 1 strap holding everything up and this was beside a hole in the wall the pipe was going through. He spent about an hour more in the basement putting in about 6 straps some of which didn't even touch the pipe and getting rid of the broomstick. I went to see went he had done and on the way out of the basement I mentioned that his dad had promised me a 5 yr warranty. He went outside to call his dad and when he came back in he wrote 5 yr on my contract and initialed it. I then paid him the balance. This was September 12 of 08. In December of 08 I had sewage water leaking in my basement from the joint that had had the broomstick handle holding it up. I called Josh he sent 2 guys over that all they did was put the pipe back together. I called him the next day and told him I wanted it fixed right so I wouldn't have this problem again. They had not glued the pipe together. We got into an argument and at 1 point I told him if he didn't make it right I was calling an attorney to which he told me to call one. I actually went to an attorney and was told I would have to pay $3500 to file suit and even though I had a very strong case because I have pictures of everything there are no guarantees that I would win or even if I do that I would get my money back. Over the next 3 years the pipe kept coming apart in the same place as where that broomstick handle had been. I called numerous times but no one would ever return my calls. We would just put the pipe back together. This went on until Christmas night of 2011. I went in the basement and the pipe had come apart and the left side was hanging about 6 inches lower than the right side and everything was being flushed directly to my basement floor. I called the next day and the girl who answered the phone hung up on me. I called back and got a guy who told me he would have someone call me. I waited an hour and a half with no call back. When I called again I told the person that answered the phone that if I didn't get a call back I was contacting an attorney. I did finally get a call from an employee who told me that Josh said for me to go ahead and call an attorney. The next day I paid a friend $20 to put a boot on it, It took him 15 minutes and I haven't had a problem since. I have filed 2 complaints with the BBB and 1 with the Attorney General against him. His reply was that I never called him after December 2008 which is untrue. He also replied that "If she had it fixed and it is still leaking then that means that she wants our company to come in and correct what either she or someone else messed up." I just wanted him to fix what I had paid him for in the first place. No one messed anything up but him. Of course he keeps coming back to haunt me. This Sunday Feb. 10, 2013 the toilet in the ladies room in the bar would not flush. Plunging would not help. My brother ran a 25 foot snake that didn't help. He took the pipe apart in the basement and snaked another 25 foot that didn't help. He cut the pipe 3 foot from the wall where it goes outside and ran the snake which stopped and wouldn't go any further after 3 feet outside the building. I then called another plumber who showed me that the pipe going through the wall outside was schedule 35 and it was crushing where it was going through the wall. He ran a snake with a camera through but came to water and couldn't go any further. They came back the next morning and dug up from the vent pipe to the building and the pipe was crushed and needed to be replaced. The pipe One Call had installed had no gravel or anything to support it They tried to run the camera past that point to make sure everything else is okay but because of the way it was installed they couldn't get passed this point. Right now everything is working okay but who knows what further problems I might encounter. Keep in mind that I am still under the 5 year warranty he gave me but didn't even bother to call him this time because he is denying he gave me a 5 year warranty that I only had a 1 year. Besides at this point I would not trust anything this company would do. The best part is that Josh Ryan told me he is a minister and would come in and preach scriptures to me and try to talk me into coming to church. I don't know how this man can sleep at night when he cheats people the way he does. I would never recommend him to any one and tell people that the name of the company is One Call because no one would ever call them back.
Description of Work: Installed new sewage line from building to the tap in to sewage. Also told me that my inside sewage needed to be redone because the way it was would not pass inspection so I agreed to let him redo the inside sewage.

I called( One Call) and they came out to fix it. They told me if it starts leaking again they would come back. It did start leaking again. Well, I did get someone to answer the phone, I was told she would give the guys the message , and no one called me . I tried calling a couple more times and couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. Now I know why they call it "One Call" that's all you get.

Very disappointed in our experience with One Call Plumbing. We have a rental property that we own (we live out of state) and we had a problem with a sewage smell coming from the basement. The technicians arrived on a Friday afternoon, looked at the problem, and left, without calling us. That evening they called after they had left the site (around 7 pm) and told us that they could run a camera to determine the problem. Once they were able to go BACK to the house and do this, they called to explain the problem and said that they would contact us back in 15 minutes with a quote. The NEXT day they finally called with a quote, which would involve some work with digging up the driveway pad (in the range of a few thousand dollars). When I questioned them about the billing and why we were charged for two trips, when we felt as though they should have contacted us during the initial visit the representative got upset. I told him that we felt he should have called us during the initial visit to discuss necessary steps (which would have prevented us from charges for an additional trip and saved him the overhead). He questioned whether the phone number we provided (my husband's cell number) was correct and whether it was a business number and would have been answered after 5:30 pm. When I replied that yes, he would have answered his phone after that time the representative got upset. He said that he would mail us the DVD and we would not owe him a thing, and that he would not do the work for us. He then called my husband's cell phone, told him never to call their office again, made an inappropriate remark about our conversation somehow transpiring as it did because I am a female and hung up. As someone who works in contracting and customer service I was pretty appalled at how this conversation went and did not think it was unreasonable for me to question the billing for two visits. Perhaps I should have asked my husband to call, since he seems to have a problem with females questioning him about his work? That afternoon I called a different company who came out for a free estimate, they identified the problem, which was fixed with a far less invasive process, for a fraction of the cost. They also said that the clean-out cap was damaged by One Call Plumbing during their inspection. This was unavoidable due to the initial installation, but One Call Plumbing never provided us with this information during any of our conversations with us. Had the second plumbing company not told us about this, we would have never known.
Description of Work: We had a problem with a rental home that we own (we live out of state) and a sewage smell coming from the basement. One Call Plumbing was scheduled to come out and inspect. They did an initial visit with a visual inspection of the basement and roof. On a second visit they ran a camera to determine the extent of the problem.

This Morning I was up early and awaiting his call at 8:30am. Never got a call. I called his cell number around 10:00am, and he said they had been delayed on the first job due to unexpected problems. Ok, I can appreciate that, as somethimes that could occur. I asked when he thought they might be here, and he said they should be heading my way in about 45 minutes. Due to me being led to believe they had problems I made allowances for additional delays. By 1:00pm he still had not arrived, so I called his cell number again. He answered and said they had encountered further delays, but were on their way and 30 minutes away, as they were just leaving a nearby town. By 3:00pm still no sign of them or a phone call. I called his cell number again and it went to his recorder to leave a message. I tried this several times leaving messages some of the time. Due to the mountainous area here, I assumed he could possibly be in a cell phone deadspot, and did not leave messages each call. I tried calling several times over the next 2 hours, with no response and the answering machine each time. I also called his main business number, which is merely an answering service he hires to front end his calls and then send a page to him. It is not even possible to leave a message, as his answering service is only able to send a numeric page, and will not take a message even if you insist. The last messgae I left on his answering machine was a request for at least a curtousy call to at least let me know if he would be out before the end of the end of the day. I never got a response. I had waited ALL day for this jerk to contact me, and this involved me taking time away from work. He will never get any business from me. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM UNLESS YOU WANT DISAPPOINTMENTS AND AGGREVATION!!! Due to the nature of my septic problem, I cannot wait forever to hear back from him. I have decided to contact the folks at Roto-Rooter to do this. I figured that a plumbing firm with a national franchise would at least have some consistent criteria for responding to their customers, as well as stand behind their work.
Description of Work: I talked to the owner Josh late yesterday about assessing, some recent plumbing done by another contractor as part of our remodeling the house. Our sewer line to the septic tank clogged up, and although the tank was pumped and the line opened, I suspected our remodeling changes might have led to the sewer line clogging. I wanted the folks from One Call to give an opinion as to whether the new sewer line was installed in such a way as to cause the blockage. Josh gave me his cell number and said he would give me a call the next morning around 8:30am and would confirm that he would be out around 9:30am to assess things, and take appropriate actions.

Not A good experience! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!
Description of Work: The first day they where supposed to be here at 11, they didn't arrive until 1:30. Left at 4:30. Came back the next day at :00 and left at 5:30. Got their truck stuck in ditch infront of my house. They messed up the ditch and the embankment. The owner of the company came and started cussing his workers out. Scarred my dogs! The owner took his tractor 3threw my back yard and front yard and tore them up. He could of went back or front, not both. He took his tractor and ran over my clothes line, destroyed all my bushes, including hundred year old rose bushes and my mums. Left my yard in a BIG MESS!!!!! Now, I have ditches running threw my yard from his tractor marks and no grass. About a month later the same problem started happening again. I called him to let me know that it has occurred again and he said it was not his problem. So, I talked him into coming out the next day. I mean we did pay him two thousand dollars to do fix the plumbing properly. Anyway, he never showed. My mother-in-law called and he kept saying he would come out and he never did. He was supposed to pump our septic tank and never did. He told my mother-in-law that he would send somebody to come out and pump it. That never happened. All yeah, the first day he was here, he asked my husband's Grandfather (lives next door) if he wanted some gravel for his driveway for free. He said yes and moved his car out of the way for a week waiting on this man to bring the gravel. He never did. My advise to customers STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Terrible. Was counting on this guy. He told me they would have to tear up the (new) vinyl floor to do the work, and that I would have to buy some new vinyl, so I went to Lowe's and bought it to be ready for the job. Went to a lot of trouble to be ready for him. Very disappointed, won't call again or recommend.
Description of Work: Called this guy for some work repairing some pipes after a rip-off artist "remodeled" my bathroom. He sent some men out to look at it, then called me with an estimate, on a Thurs. or Friday. He said to call him Mon. night to tell him where I would leave the key and they would do the job on Tues. Called him Mon. night, he said they had to put it off a day, he would call me Tues. evening about the key. He did not and has not called back. THEN I did some on-line research for reviews and found several saying this guy will tell you he will come and then will not show up.
