I contacted Mr. Kinsley and told him what I needed done. we scheduled an appointment for estimate . He gave me his cost, I was even able to get him to come down a little. His job was to remove old shingles and put new ones down. They had the whole thing done it about 3 days, including hauling away old shingles. I have found 1 nail laying in the yard. Great job!!!!

We were concerned we had a soft spot in our roof and a potential leak. We also weren't sure if we needed a new roof soon or not. Doug took my call immediately, scheduled a visit, had to reschedule the initial visit to a few days later, but kept me informed throughout the entire process. He came and looked at all our problem areas and gave us his recommendations. We were lucky we didn't need any roof repair at this time but I will definitely call him again when we do.

Mike was one of only two roofers who responded to our call when we returned from Christmas visiting on December 29. He came the following day to inspect the damage, and several days later to fix the problem and do a careful inspection of our roof. This was just before several days of rain and later snow. I have checked the attic and there now appears to be no leaking. He was very professional; gave us an estimate, and called to come and do the work before he thought he would be able. He then charged us less than the original estimate. We were delighted with our experience.

Mike and his crew did an excellent job of getting our roof replaced and repaired before winter. They were efficient and professional and the roof looks great. Mike checked back with me to see if there were any problems after it rained and came back to make some minor adjustments. This is an excellent company to do business with.

I have owned a home in Morgantown for 11 years and have had mixed results with contractors, especially when it comes to plumbing. I found Mike Kinsley's business here on Angie's List based on previous outstanding reviews. Mike and his crew more than lived up to the reviews, replacing and repairing the aging plumbing in the bathroom as well as doing a wonderful job with the remodel and making the bathroom look nice for the first time in years. The time taken to complete the job and the budget were both very reasonable. We had one minor problem after the job was finished, and Mike was over to fix it that same day. The quality of Mike's work and his professionalism is off the charts. Highly recommended.

Mike and Doug are brothers who have owned this business for many years. The work was delayed about a month due to torrential rains - when they started they made up for it quickly. We live out of town and they kept in touch with us, sending pictures, and texting/calling regularly with updates. Their work is very high quality - in addition they are kind, considerate and very honest - They repaired our roof, built an addition on an old stone house, made every change we asked for, gave us suggestions to improve the design and structure, and that would save us money while still delivery high quality. We would highly recommend them for any job, large or small!

Mike is extremely professional and trustworthy. We were a little late in the year calling him about both of our roofs, but he was kind enough to drive out and give us an estimate. The price was very reasonable, and the quality of work and attentiveness to detail exceeded what we paid. Mike made sure that we knew that if we had any problems to give him a call and he would take care of it right away. He's been in the business for a long time, and if we had to do it again we would go with Mike every single time. If you are looking for someone to replace your roof who will be honest with you about what you need and get the job done the right way, Mike is your guy.

They gave an estimate and did a great job. They are very professional in every aspect. I wasn't present for this job so had my neighbor who manages the house for me to observe them during the project. They were very timely and very honest. This company is two brothers from the area. They made sure to clean up and also not to damage anything. They were in and out. Overall just a great experience.

We called Mr. Kinsley concerning a leak in the roof over our deck. At the time he was very busy and asked if there were any leaks inside the house. We told him no and that this was not an emergency. We wanted to wait for him because he had such good reviews on Angie's List. He said that he would put us on his schedule and to call back in a couple of weeks. We called back in two weeks and Mr. Kinsley and a helper came out within a couple of days. They both went on the roof to assess the situation. We heard some scraping and pounding and in a few minutes he informed us that the problem was very minor, just a few nails that had come up due to heat from the sun. While he was at our house we discussed some larger projects that we need to have done. He was very professional and we made plans for him to return to do more work for us in the future. He didn't charge for the current work on roof. That will be taken care of when he returns to do other projects.

Excellent Job - Easy Communication - Super Clean Hiring Kinsley Construction Inc. was a real treat for us. Usually when we've needed work done on the house we got someone who was a referred by a friend who worked cheaper. But if you live in a house long enough, those cheaply done "handy man" jobs can come back to haunt you. One of those "cheap" jobs we had done in 2008 was to put a roof over our front porch which lasted about 3 years before it started leaking. Then we just watched it leak for a few more years before we accepted the fact that it wasn't going to fix itself and that we better do something about it before the rotting parts spread to the house. But this time we decided to make an attempt to do it right and hire a real contractor. Angie's List seemed like the perfect place to start. We searched Angie's for a General Contractor and Kinsley Construction Inc. came up first. The Kinsley reviews looked great so we decided to call them. I was a bit nervous about picking the first contractor I saw, but sometimes when you find what you're looking for you just have to go with it, even if it does seem too easy. The phone at Kinsley Construction Inc. is answered by Mike Kinsley who, along with his brother Doug, runs the business. I described the situation with the porch roof and he promised to come and look at it within a week or so and that he'd call back in two or three days and set a date and time. Sure enough, three days later he called and set an appointment for the following Friday. He actually called again the day before the appointment to confirm. On the date of the appointment he showed up right on time. He asked what we wanted to do, looked over the job, and then explained what he would need to do. He really took his time with us to make sure that he understood what we wanted and that we understood what would be involved. A few days later he called and then came by with a contract proposal which spelled out everything that would be done and provided an estimate which we accepted. Mike and his crew showed up exactly when they said they would (with a valid work permit which hadn't crossed my mind) and finished the job in 3 or 4 working days. It was raining a lot at the time and so Mike had to work around the weather. But he always kept in touch with us, calling us anytime he had to change plans due to bad weather. They worked cleanly and very quietly. No blasting radios, (no radios at all, actually), no cursing or yelling, and almost no stoppages for cell phone use. These may seem like unremarkable points, but I live in a busy neighborhood and get to observe contractors working at other homes all over the block, and I've seen and heard some really disgusting behavior. (Recently there were some painters in the neighborhood who would curse at each other all day long at the top of their lungs. It was uncomfortable just to live within hearing distance of that job.) I've never seen a cleaner working crew. They cleaned up everything whenever they would leave for the day. They even put down a tarp under the truck they used to throw all the rotten wood and shingles in. When the job was complete and they were gone, you couldn't tell anyone had been working at our house. Nothing was left behind, no nails, paint cans, tools, or ladders. Again, this may not seem like such a big deal unless you've seen what's left behind on many jobs. I was frankly amazed. The work done was really great! The porch looks better than it did when it was new, and it also even feels better somehow. The beams on the roof overhang were built up and look much more substantial than they did before. We couldn't be happier with it. The only way this could have worked out any better is if it would have been free and if Mike had been available right away. But things cost money, and if you want a really good contractor like these guys you're going to have to wait a while too. But when you get exactly what you want and you get it done well, you don't really mind the wait that much. We're already adapting to these facts of life by planning to make another appointment now with Kinsley Construction Inc. for some new work to be done next Spring.

Doug Kinsley responded promptly to my call. He provided a quick and professional solution to my roofing issue. Couldn't have asked for a better outcome. I truly appreciate what he was able to accomplish in such a short time. Kinsley Construction earned a long term relationship today! No question about it - I would recommend Kinsley Construction based on my experience.

In the past 25 years, my husband and I have had 6 different contractors do remodeling work for us. Kinsley Construction recently reroofed our house and installed new siding and windows in addition to performing electrical work. They did an outstanding job and we are extremely pleased with their work. Kinsley Construction is the best contractor that we have ever encountered. Mike and Doug are honest, dependable, and do great work at a reasonable price. They are the only contractor that we have ever employed that have found us ways to save money on materials. They also give you ideas for your remodeling project to ensure that the job looks top notch when done. They do high quality work and will go the extra mile to make sure that the work completely meets your specifications. Also, they have a good crew working for them, and their work was always completed on time. When Mike and Doug's crew is working on your house, you will feel comfortable leaving them to work while you run errands. When the work is finished, they do an excellent job of cleaning up. If we had any future remodeling projects, Kinsley Construction will be the first people we call. They are the best!

We touched base a couple times in the weeks leading up to our scheduled start date of August 18. I had a scheduled Drs. Appointment on the same day we had scheduled as the start day, so I asked Doug to meet me on the Saturday before and he did. He didn't want it, but I asked him if he would accept 1/2 payment down then instead of Monday. On that Monday morning the crew showed up promptly at 7:00 am. I went to my scheduled appointment and when I got back they had stripped off the old roof one side and sealed it up to protect against the rainy weather in the forecast. The next day they promptly showed up and stripped off the other side and again got the ice and water shield installed along the perimeter and valleys and buttoned up to guard against the rainy forecast. The job also included venting two bathrooms thru the roof and two bathroom exhaust fans to the eves. And cutting in an additional skylight in one bathroom. With one day fully rained out they finished the entire job on August 22. That included all cleanup, 4 skylights, 2 exhaust vents, 2 bathroom vents, ridge vents, 27 squares shingles, stripped off and hauled away the old roofing materials, etc. Plus lots of little things I'm sure I'm leaving off. Good hard working company, very professional, reasonably priced and I would definitely hire them again. They gave the entire job the "personal" touch. Gave me a sense of caring for the quality job they were doing.

They did a very good job. It's good and it's working fine. They were very professional, quick and they got the job done. I haven't had any problems.

It has been a difficult time for roofing contractors with it raining almost everyday this spring and it is very hard to keep schedules. I met with Mike Kinsley in May and he provided an estimate. Since it was my daughter's townhouse we took a few day to make up our mind. I called Mike and told him that he had the job. He gave me an estimate time that he would start the job. He called within that time frame and told me that he would start on June 24, 2014. He finished on June 26, 2014. They used quality materials did a professional job and the crew was professional. Mike always returned phone calls the same day and you can count on him to do what he says.

The Kinsleys were very professional and honest. Work was completed on time and in budget, workmanship was very good. I was contacted with several days notice of starting work which was done quickly.

I'd recommend Mike to anyone and would like for him to do more work in the future.

Mike Kinsley came to our house to give an estimate for replacing our roof. Unfortunately we're on a very tight budget right and had to put off the job for now, but he was extremely professional, and I trusted that he would have done a great job. He was prompt when returning phone calls, and welcomed questions. He even guaranteed that if any nails were found in our yard or driveway that resulted in flat tires, he would replace those! I will definitely call him again for future work on our home!

Three of our four skylights began to leak in a span of eight weeks. When our previous roofer made and skipped three appointments to address the leaks, we were referred to Mike Kinsley of Kinsley Construction. Mike is a true man of his word. He said he would take care of us, and that's exactly what he did. Juggling his previous commitments and working against the oncoming cold, rain and snow, Mike and his crew replaced all four skylights over two days. Immediately following completion of the work, we had heavy rain for two days followed shortly by a dusting of snow. None of the previous leaks resurfaced. Over these past several days, my wife and I repeatedly commented to each other how relieved we were that the roof was finally fixed. It had gotten to the point where we removed clocks from around the house and took out the batteries because the constant ticking sounded too much like water dripping. Mike is now our go-to guy for anything house-related. He and his team are professional, reliable, courteous, skilled, and honest. They take the time to do the job right the first time. We are grateful for the peace of mind that Mike has given us. We cannot recommend Kinsley Construction highly enough. Thank you, Mike!

I called in September for a estimate on our very old roof. It was the first time we had had the money to replace it for 27 years. Mike was prompt with an estimate we deemed fair, but was scheduled to the end of the season. Our roof was "critical" and he managed to rearrange his schedule to get our roof done before any more problems occurred. Communication was great. We were able to accommodate any needed changes between us. They were respectful of the property and cleaned up thoroughly every day. The work was high quality,and staff was respectful. I would use this company again for any services they provide. It's difficult to find service this good!

Fixed a leak in the roof which had not been fixed by previous contractor.Kinsley hung in there untill the job was complete!

This house in owned by a nonprofit organization and is a retreat house and spirituality center. The slate roof was in critical need of immediate replacement before winter and three different bids were considered by the board of directors. Although Kinsley Construction Inc was quite favorable, it was uncertain they could complete the job in October because of an emergency situation that occurred during our negotiations. Another of our bidders who was also favorable was able to do so. However, we will definitely consider this company for future work.we had.
