When we moved into our house in Aug of 2011 there was virtually no grass in the front yard. Much of the yard was dead or just green weeds! We hired Benson's the summer of 2012 and they worked to get eradicate the weeds and to address the dead area. They got it in shape to seed in the summer of 2013. Jay Benson made getting grass to grow in our yard a personal goal! They went above and beyond our contract to make sure that our yard was indeed grass and healthy. Jay has made recommendations along the way that would improve the yard and landscaping. He is knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They are now our go-to business for any and all yard maintenance needs.

They did a great job and were reliable.

Jay Benson was determined to get grass to grow in our front yard! The first round of slit seeding didn't take terribly well, so they came back for a second round (without charging us an additional fee) to get the darn grass to seed before late fall. The end result of everything that Benson's has done to our yard is....we have grass! I wish I could post a picture of before and after, because it's really amazing. Getting grass to grow in a yard that has been overrun with grubs and which hasn't been fed in years was a challenge. And Benson's met it! We have since hired them to do leaf removal in the fall (we have a very heavily treed lot) which was well worth the $300. We waited until the majority of our leaves fell and they came and dealt with them in one day. I know I should make my lazy kids do it, but in this instance, I left for work with leaves in my yard and came home to it literally spotless! We have renewed our seasonal contract with Benson's and will continue to do so. Their prices are a little higher than other lawn care companies, but they are a known entity (being a hometown girl), do excellent work, and stand behind their work.
