+ -1 moreWe purchased a double wall oven at Orsinis. When we used it the window pane would get all foggy with condensation. Orsini customer rep/sales reps blamed it on a recent design change on the part of Whirlpool and other manufacturers. Well, Whirlpool does NOT confirm any design change, i.e. the information we got from Orsini was false and just an excuse. Despite numerous efforts Orsini would not react further. Never again will we purchase anything from Orsinis.
Description of Work: See above. Door with window of brand new oven needed to be checked and possibly replaced.

+ -1 moreThey're very expensive. Another service provider charged me $50 to come and look at it. But, that $50 went towards the repair. They charge $50 and it doesn't go towards the repair. He said, "We can fix your washer but the part might not hold up." I actually had a fire in the panel of the drier. He told me that was fried. It wasn't worth the money that I was going to put in because it was already past five years. They say after five years it's better to go and get a new appliance than put in an expensive part. They were supposed to call me back. Then, I waited. Two weeks later I called. I think it was the owner and he was real grouchy. When I said, "Well, he said he would call me in a week. Why didn't he call back?" He said, "We just got back from a holiday." He said, "I'll have him call you and make an appointment to come fix it." I wasn't happy with them. I thought they were very expensive and their customer service sucked. It wasn't cheap. When they came, they promised a timeframe and they came out. He told me upfront that it was $50. I said, "Well, does it go towards the repair?" He said, "No." So it was my fault. I didn't go to Angie's List and check out other people.
Description of Work: I had three things that went out, all within a month. He came out and looked at it.

+ 0 moreWe were having issues with how well our dishwasher was cleaning the dishes so we called Orsini's to get their opinion. They sent a serviceman to our home to access. The gentleman was on time and very polite. After looking over our machine, he noticed an obstruction, which he removed and he also recommended a cleaner that he said should be used approximately every 1 to 2 months. He had the cleaner with him so he ran a cycle to clean the machine. We can't be more pleased! Everything is working like new again. Thanks Orsini's!

+ -1 moreThey got here by 2pm. Emptied my old water heater, hauled it away and installed a beautiful energy efficient one in less that 2 hours. Got a 6-year warranty too. Just see Ed or Brad in the Charles Town (Ranson) store and you will be pleased!
Description of Work: I called Orsini's at noon and they had a new electric water heater installed in my house before 4 pm. Paul Orsini, himself, installed it and was just a wonderful as last time when he installed my garbage disposal. Their price was great, they were fast and they were more than cordial! I will return to Orsini's EVERY time. They installed my french-door frig and double-oven/microwave combo as well. We LOVE these guys!

Description of Work: My dryer stopped working and it needs a thermal fuse. I called one place and they wanted $120 to fix it. I figured I could do it myself and I went to Orsini's to get the part. I thought that this is a good way to support a local store instead of one of the big chains. I went there and told the sales representative that I needed a thermal fuse. He put two on the counter and asked me which on I needed. I said I am not sure and I gave him the model number of my dryer. As he looked it up I goggled the part number and got a price of $24.95. Orsini's wants $40.95 for the same item from the same company. I told him that I can get it cheaper online and he got mad at me and snatched up the parts and yelled at me to get it online then! I was thinking that he would try to match the price but since I am only spending a few bucks I guess he doesn't need my business. So as I walk out the door I tell him that I will get it cheaper somewhere else. He then followed me out to my car and said go ahead and buy it somewhere else. I told my kids to hurry up and get in the car. I asked him his name and he threw his arms up in the air yelling at me I am Mike Orsini the owner. I said Oh, that is why you are so rude! He started yelling at me that he gets his parts from the distributor and that is how much they cost. I said well I can get it for almost half the price and maybe he wants to find a different distributor because he is ripping you off. I went to Lowe's to see if they had it and they did not. The rep there gave me a card for Lowe's appliance part store. I called that number and I got the part for $24.95. Too bad the customer service at Orsini's is so bad! I wanted to support a local store but I am not going to get ripped off like that in the process! I would be willing to pay a few bucks more but not $15 more. So I would suggest before you go to Orsini's you had better read all the reviews online and then decide if you want to chance it going to Orsini's or somewhere else.
