+ -1 moreWe hired Mountaineer to put in a new custom kitchen. Jeff Michael, Tracie, Jamie and the entire crew were excellent to work with. They did not rush us through the design phase, made sure we understood everything well before they started and kept us informed as the project progressed. They worked on our project every day, and if they were not going to come, Jeff told us in advance. Jeff managed the subcontractors, and everything happened as planned. Jeff was truly interested in making sure we got what we wanted and that we were happy with the results. We have been using our new kitchen for roughly 2 months with no issues - it is exactly what we wanted. This is an excellent team, and we will be hiring again when we do our master bath.

Description of Work: I wanted a farmer's sink installed in my kitchen without having to purchase new countertops. I was told that the job would be difficult and that the current countertops would have to be removed. She did not offer to have anyone come look at the new sink we wanted installed or at our current countertops/cabinets to see if it could be done. As a result, I did not use Mountaineer Kitchens and Baths. I contacted another company from out of Baltimore, and within a few days, a carpenter came out to evaluate the sink/countertops/and cabinets. He agreed to tackle the job. It was done perfectly within a week. Yes, he did have to remove the existing countertop, but he did so very carefully, and replaced it back in perfect condition - along with the beautiful farmer's sink - and we were very happy with the work that was done.

+ 1 moreThey were excellent, professional, helpful and pleasant to work with - in every aspect. We had always planned to do the install ourselves which we did. The cabinets still look great and work very well, no chipping, drawers work great. No problems at all.
Description of Work: Helped me select and provided cabinetry and counter tops for kitchen. Matched price estimate I had gotten from Home Depot.

+ -1 moreAfter 3 weeks of trying to get Curt to come out and look at the job, I have given up. Repeated phone calls and promises of a quick call-back have been all for nothing. If a vendor doesn't want a job (too small, too hard?) he should at least not waste customers' time.
Description of Work: Wanted an estimate to remove a granite countertop, fabricate and replace moldy cabinet boxes, and reinstall.

+ -1 moreGreat experience from start to finish. They were very helpful during planning and provided their expertise when we needed it. All the work only took two weeks and two days. During their final inspection, they found a couple of cabinet parts that they were not satisfied with and reordered new ones. They kept work site neat and clean during project. I thought the cost was fair and the quality of the work exceptional. I will use them in the future and would recommend them to others. So nice to be able to support a great local business.

His team was professional and did a great job. Mike was there to oversee the measurements, install and everything and could not have asked for more help. I would definitely recommend them again, especially Mike!
Description of Work: I worked with Mike and he was great! I had granite countertops installed as well as new sink (free with the countertop), faucet and needed assistance with hooking up a new stove and refrigerator.

Really wanted to keep my money with a local business, but unfortunately they were both unprofessional and unresponsive causing me to take my money out of state.

+ -1 moreMike from Mountaineer Kitchen and Bath worked with us for about a month deciding on replacement kitchen cabinets and hardware. He personally measured everything to ensure a proper installation and showed us our options of various wood, trim and handles. He also got us a free replacement sink. We separately purchased a new kitchen faucet and had it ready for installation as part of the kitchen remodeling. Mike's crew of two showed up on time and spent about two weeks removing the old cabinets and installing the new. In the process they relocated the dish washer, installed a new electrical outlet on the end of the island and installed under-cabinet lighting. Everything fits perfectly and looks great.
