Royal Aire

These guys are prompt if anything else. I have only one time got voicemail and they actually called me back same-day. I don't think I've ever had an actual emergency. I had two new Trane units installed to replace a really old set. The installation was great and support just as good. There was initially a drainage issue that got resolved as soon as it popped up, but that was due to a small drain pipe in the attic unit that got clogged with debris. Then the flood sensor went bad. But like previously stated, they are always on top of it and get it fixed right up. The pricing and service was amazing even prior to having the units replaced, too. And I have a very complicated hydronic and heat pump setup. I'd strongly recommend these guys to anyone in the area.

Royal Aire has been an absolute God send to our Church. I have lost count of how many times they have come to our aid when we were in need. May times they have come out the same day I have called them when our old HVAC units were failing in our church sanctuary. In March of 2020 we contracted Royal Aire to replace two of our very old HVAC units. To say that Royal Aire went above and beyond is an understatement. Royal Aire went the extra mile at every step of this HVAC install. Russel & Rich were so kind and patient with me when I had questions and needed guidance for what would be best for our sanctuary HVAC units. I have intentionally waited 5 months to post this review because I always prefer to live with the product a while before I give a review. The two Trane units that Royal Aire installed are absolutely phenomenal! The high tech Trane thermostats are a life saver and make holding temperature in transition seasons simple and effective in our Sanctuary. I called them on Friday night and left a message that I needed my heat pump a/c repaired. the owner, Mr. Delozier, returned my call the next morning, Saturday, at 8am and said I could be the second call of the day. the repair man, Rich, called at 10am to say he was on the way. He and his assistant, Robbie, showed up 30 minutes later. They repaired the heat pump and performed maintenance that included a recharge and completed their work in 90 minutes.They were friendly and professional. Their labor fee of $300 included a one-hour travel charge and there was an additional $50 weekend service fee. the additional charges were for parts.

The temperature in our house was 49 degrees on a Sunday morning because the furnace had stopped working Saturday evening. We were glad we could get someone to come out on a Sunday in the cold weather and expected to have to pay extra for the weekend work. We were expecting to pay somewhere around 200.00 for parts and labor. The technician arrived around 12:00 noon and fixed the furnace in a timely manner. He left between 1:00 and 1:30 p.m.. We were happy with the experience until we got the bill. We were charged 290.00 just for the labor. The technician worked for a little over an hour but we were charged for 2 hours at 120.00 per hour plus 50.00 for a weekend surcharge. The cost of the 2 parts totaled 86.31. We expected that much for the parts, having had furnace work done before, but we were very shocked when we saw the charge for the labor.

We had decided to have a more efficient cooling system installed in our home. We chose "Royal Aire" because of the 10 year warranty that was offered with the AC unit (found out AFTER installation that the warranty came from the manufacturer and NOT Royal Aire) When he came to do the estimate, he said it would be around $2500 for the job. He said "I'll be back to finish." The next day, two of his employees, not him, came to perform the job. They took my new ac unit, and sat it on an uneven platform, and then took three bucketfuls of gravel from MY DRIVEWAY to level it up. This was the ONLY work that helper #2 had done. Was charged $120 for "Helpers Fee" for him moving my own gravel from one corner of the house to the other... Also, this same company operates apartments out of their establishment. My son rented off of Mr. Delozier for 3+ years. In that 3 years, the bathroom light stopped working a week after he moved in. One day he was cleaning and my son opened the windows, he called and left my son a rude message asking him to close it. When my son and his wife moved out, the apartment was in EXCELLENT SHAPE, minus a closet door that had a hole in it from a safe falling out of it. He charged my son $185 to "get, paint, and put on" a $30 dollar (Lowes was gonna deliver this door, already white, for $35) door. He also charged him for a Cold air return that was rusty claiming "it was from leaving the window open in the winter" when really, it was from his leaky junk roof that even caused our previous neighbors to move away. Also charged$150 to "Wipe down walls" (Actually Illegal in WV as it is considered normal Wear and Tear) and windows. $25 for a door knob with no lock, along with other various BS... This is not a slanderous review, i have receipts to prove everything. Please consider other options before choosing this one. I wouldnt use Royal Aire as a Last Resort anymore, after being a good customer, and telling everyone to use them because they were good, and then being drug over the coals by them, please beware!!!!!! Just looking at their employees should be enough to steer you in the right direction lol :) Thanks!!
