Professional Plumbing SVC

The old water heater worked but leaked. They replaced it with one I had purchased and fried the electrical system. The new one doesn't leak but it doesn't work! Now I have to get an electrician in to fix the mess they left. I carefully explained in the initial call that the water heater is in a crawl space under the house. I gave an estimate of the working height (3-5 feet) and was told it would not be a problem. The plumber was the guy I talked to, but he claimed not to know it was in a crawl space. When I reminded him that I had told him the heights, he claimed not to have understood that that applied to a crawl space. They hooked up the water heater flipped the breaker and yelled at each other for awhile. They then spent another 1/2 hour fiddling with things and tried again. The breaker blew. They then gave up, said I had electrical problems and that there wasn't anything more they could do. After an argument, I paid their fee, mostly to get rid of them. The charge included the agreed to hourly rate, and a service call fee. The plumber did not mention the service call fee during the initial call when I asked about prices, but in fairness, I didn't specifically ask. Upshot is that I paid to go from a house with hot water to one with just cold water. Adding insult to injury is their name - Professional Plumbing Svcs. It sure wasn't professional service. The plumber/owner's name is Louis Nomar - avoid him.
