+ -1 moreMoved in 5/30 during heat wave, learned A/C stopped working during move in. Called Arctic, Doug fit us in during busy schedule. Gave us reasonable options considering unit was 10 years old. While I did not want to hear it at time, he helped us make an informed decision to replace upstairs outside unit which would lower maintenance costs and service call expenses likely over the next few years, I have already been there and done that in the past. Arctic really accommodated us during time of need, and feel we got very reasonable deal during vulnerable time. His supplier was a little late in making equipment available, but understood considering this was the first HOT week of the year. I highly recommend Arctic. Support the independent, good guys!
Description of Work: Quick response and assessment in middle of heat wave. Family owned/operated and honest, even when the truth hurt.

+ -1 moreDoug was punctual and willing to work around our busy work schedules. We also trusted Doug to be in our home while we were not there. We found him flexible and willing to listen to us.
Description of Work: We have had two positive experiences with Doug. In 2009, he replaced our entire HVAC system. Our previous system was of low quality. We had mixed success with other HVAC contractors. Last week, our unit (which was only two years and a few months old) stopped delivering heat. What we appreciated was that Doug stood by his work and equipment. He replaced a faulty part (which was under warranty) and charged us a reasonable amount for labor and time. We respect, trust, and appreciate people who stand by their work. Overall, we've had a great experience with our new HVAC system - and last week's short hiccup isn't an issue because Doug stands by his work and warranty.

Description of Work: My Air conditioner was only blowing hot air. It is the original air conditioner and this company has repaired it several times over the years. It is usually a capacitor or a valve and once it was the transformer. He comes same day and it has never been over 250.00! His name is Doug and he is completely honest! He warned me that I don't have much life left in my system at the beginning of this summer. He wanted me to be able to start saving for a new one. Well it is still running. He told me there is a reason why that the capacitor has blown more than once. And one of these times the compresser is going to burn up. I am thrilled with this guys service and workmanship.

Description of Work: less than ayr ago i had heat-pump installed, when it froze up yesterday i called and though i am a disabled veteran he wouldnt come yesterday. today when they arrived his son made sarcastic remarks before he even saw the unit. the reason for the problem was the owners advice,however i had to have a verbal battle the whole time. at the time of installation, holes were cut in my floor(never sealed), my wall was torn up, never fixed and this they said was part of my problem with unit now! it was obvious they have bad attitudes toward fixing their mistakes and basically called me a liar when i repeated what they told me. i trusted these people! now i have to replace a door, paint my walls, fix my floor and be humiliated in my own home.
