Contractor did not honor commitments or warranty. Project originally projected to take 6 months, took 8 and the house wasn't finished when we moved in. Provided no security during construction for property or project, consequently allowing material to be stolen and then billed us for stolen materials. Changed original property size by one-third an acre less without consulting us. Contract called for 4? of topsoil within 50? of the house in all directions, but contractor used dirt comprised of shale and clay, then refused to correct. Provided no supervision to subcontractors which resulted in an extremely poor interior finish with poor dry wall work, taping falling down and hundreds of nail pops; painters smoked in the house while painting, and flooring contractor power sawed the hardwood flooring while painters worked so wall paint is rough with sawdust. Numerous calls had to be made to subconstractors to come back and repair their work after general contractor refused to intervene. House is two and a half years old; have experienced continued dry wall issues, numerous wall cracks, leaking roof, lawn that won't grow due to insufficient top soil promised, and most doors won?t close properly. Wires left exposed in ceiling junction box where porch fan should have gone lead absolutely nowhere and contractor refuses to have electrician tell us what he did. Contractor continues to fail to personally inspect or to be accountable for all the deficiencies, despite having all items brought to his attention as part of punch list upon supposed completion and during the warranty period. Challenges to his inadequate work only brought additional expense of legal fees which still resulted in no favorable outcome. Would definitely not recommend this contractor.
