also explained that dues the It all began March 1 2013 when I decided to replace/remodel a fiberglass steam shower enclosure. I knew my neighbors had been doing extensive work on their house getting it ready to sell and they raved about the guy doing their work. I called him and he gave me a bid and the disaster began. It seems this guy has a regular job at a local University and he subcontracted the demo and tile work to be done. I explained several times that this was a steam shower and that drastic temperature changes would be normal. I also explained that because the bathroom was small that bipass shower doors would be preffered BUT that containing the steam was priority one. He assured me they could do it. The work went as planned and I was ready for my first steam. Steam POURED out of the shower pealing paint and soaking wall board! I called the guy back and he worked some more with no results. After a month or two of trying I noticed another problem, I had a leak in the room below! It seamed they used mastic to adhere the time when they should have done mortar. Tile had to be removed and reset. Then at an additional $1200 I ordered a new shower door to replace the wrong door installed in the first place. The new door came from the factory with the handle immediately next to the hinge so that needed corrected. This guy was blowing it at every turn and after 6 months I still could not use my shower. I wish I'd used Angies list in the first place! I still trust and respect my neighbor and would ask their advice again, I just think the first guy bit off more than he could chew! If you need glass work, call Joey at Service Glass, they will take care of you! I called the distributor he got the door from to get them involved. After three tries of installing the door I had had enough and asked the distributor how much they could charge me to install it CORRECTLY. They worried that they would be held liable for the first guys screw up and I assured them all I wanted was to take a shower! Joey at Service glass pleaded my case and they agreed to do the best they could to make things work. This morning they showed up on time as expected. They guy they sent was pleasant, friendly and professional. He mentioned that he'd been in the business for 30 years and I felt in good hands. He had to leave to get parts and quickly returned. As he was finishing up he noticed that the shower light the original guy had installed had broken glass! This was the third glass replacement and it was all because the light was incorrectly installed. I called Joey and he called his guy back to the shop to get some glass to replace the broken piece and they are bending over backwards to make me happy! People, I wish I'd used Angi I
