I called Pete Muth and he was very nice. When I described what I wanted done, he said I could pick up the lights and he could install them when I needed him to. I was on a tight time schedule. When I got my lights, he came the next day and installed them very quickly. He had to make adjustments to the medallion on the ceiling because my new ceiling fan base was larger. But he shimmed and replaced it and it works great. It was wonderful to have found an electrician I can trust!

I recently moved to the area and was looking for an electrician to install several personal light fixtures and a ceiling fan. After Pete Muth was referred to me and I read the positive review on Angie's List, I contacted him. He was very accommodating of my time, very personable when he came by to assess the job, and very professional when he returned to do the work. I could not be more pleased with his work. He diagnosed a problem fixture and replaced a socket, and carefully set aside the original fixtures for me to pack up. He and his son were thorough, polite and respectful of my home. I will certainly call Muth Electric again should I need electrical work. (Pete was also very informative to this newcomer about the Huntington area.)

My wife and I recently purchased an older home that we've had numerous electrical issues with (see above). We had a hard time finding an electrician in Huntington to come and evaluate our problems and to give an estimate for repair; many said they didn't do residential work or work on old houses and others agreed to come by but blew us off. We were also forced to switch insurance carriers due to the presence of our old wires. We called Pete Muth (Muth Electric) and he came out a few days later. We went over the inspection report (from when we bought the house) and showed him our problems. He reassured us that nothing seemed serious (despite what our insurance co. said) and we agreed on a price of $450 for the work (for labor and materials). He was very pragmatic when it came to the old wiring and didn't try to exaggerate problems to make a sale; in all honesty, we probably would have just agreed to any recommendations within reason. He also offered to write a letter or call our insurance agent to verify the condition of our electrical system. The next week, he came out and repaired everything we discussed during his previous visit (as well as a couple of other things that I forgot to mention during his walk through). He showed up on schedule (8:00am), worked through lunch, and didn't take any breaks. He finished all of the work by around 4:00. He also indicated that the work was somewhat simpler than he anticipated and reduced the price to $400.00. I am very happy with the work he performed and would not hesitate to use him in the future.
