+ 1 moreIt wasn't bad. I'd say overall an A- only because I had to call back a few times because water kept leaking through the pipes. They did come right out and repair it for me. I did have to call back a few days later as well to get a receipt for the work, but overall, they did well and I would use them again.
Description of Work: They installed a sink basin and cabinet, as well as a shower head and towel bracket.

+ -1 moreHiring a contractor is a nightmare to say the least. I started my project in the summer having my roof done along with windows. Albert was very busy when I showed him my job. Other contractors only wanted to do the roof and windows and the price for the drop ceiling and bathroom was crazy. Albert told me from the beginning to get other estimates, he told me he was tied up until mid october. He gave me an estimate and told me he would call me when he was free. I didn't really expect to hear from him. In October he called and we began. In three days my ceiling was up, bathroom complete. He is a good contractor and a honest man. I would recommend him to anyone who was looking for a contractor. Did I pay to much maybe a little, but I know that the work was done right the first time. Albert and KAR will be doing my two bathrooms in the spring.
Description of Work: Albert put in a drop ceiling for me and did a bathroom downstairs; replaced doors, new tile, a shower a complete turn key project

+ 0 moreMuch to my surprise, I received an estimate in writing that was accurate. His quality of work is outstanding however, as a tribute to his quality you need to wait several weeks. There is a waiting line. I did keep his card for future use.

Description of Work: repaired a toilet that leaked, rpaired a toilet that was constantly running water, and repaired two bathroom sinks that had drain issues. He had to replace the whole works in one of the toilets and under one of the sinks.

+ 5 moreIt was okay, but their attention to detail was awful. The owner seemed to have a bad attitude. They came out initially to see what I needed done, and they fixed the leak from the roof side first. I had to redo the edges where the wall and ceiling meet before I did the painting, as they had did it so irregularly. I asked them what paint they used, and they told me, but they didn't tell me that they'd tinted it; I had to repaint the whole ceiling. They also asked me to pay an additional $50 during the course of the work too. I had to redo some areas on the ceiling too as they had done parts so poorly.
Description of Work: I had them replace a ceiling in a rec room that was originally installed incorrectly, and fix a leak.

Description of Work: Removed a damaged tub/shower unit in a rental property. It was then replaced with a 48 inch walk in shower with a finished plumbing accessible wall. All pipe was replaced with pex. We purchased the shower unit, wall surround, shower doors, drain and faucet. These guys were great! They started at 9:00 am and were finished at 4:00 pm. I am going to have them remodel my home bathroom.

They were professional and efficient in hanging the mirror. They also fixed a towel rack that was coming out of a bathroom wall. I would definitely recommend them.
Description of Work: I had a landscape mirror weighing 62 lbs that I wanted to hang on a bedroom wall above a dresser.

+ 1 moreThe job was finished in one day, which we were happy with, but not completely happy that a portion of the job was just left undone because they couldn't get the faucet off to change leaky gaskets, which was agreed upon in our contract. The end result was not perfect , but acceptable.
Description of Work: Replaced tiles around shower with cultured marble surround and repaired all behind it and beside tub. Also sealed a drain in another bathroom shower in our basement.

Pretty much anything I wanted to do they were willing to do it for me and they were reasonably priced. It took them three days to do the work.

+ 3 moreThey were very prompt and communicative. They explained how they were going to complete each stage of the job and then did it as we discussed. They completed the job on time and on budget. This was all completed on short notice with due regard for the work that was scheduled for when they were done.
Description of Work: They repaired the sub-floor in my bathroom prior to having a new linoleum floor installed. They also replaced the cast iron and galvanized steel waste lines with new PVC waste lines. Upon completion of the waste line repairs, the dining room ceiling that was removed for the repair work was replaced and primed.

+ -1 moreThey actually were able to come and do this job earlier than they originally anticipated, and when they were here they were very professional, efficient, and thorough. They were able to quickly diagnose the problem and fix our bathroom so that we can safely shower and bathe without causing further damage to our drywall and floor. They put down the new floor for us and patched the drywall and blended it seamlessly with what was not damaged. I definitely recommend them for any home repairs needed!!

+ 0 moreI know that a lot of contractors can promise the world and then fail to deliver afterwards. I never questioned his ability to complete the project. He always had the plan in his head and was able to explain exactly what he was going to do before beginning. The proof is in the pudding. Everyone compliments the home when they walk by. I think it looks absolutely fantastic; much better than I had anticipated for such an old block home.
Description of Work: Redid the exterior and 1800 square-foot block home. Removed 15 steelframe windows from the 1940s and replaced with new windows. Added stonework to the chimney and around the bottom border of the home (subcontracted). Added 1 inch of insulation and new board and batten siding to the exterior. Replaced all gutters. Added crown molding around the house and borders around the window. Looks excellent. He provided references for his prior work which I personally reviewed. He was licensed and insured. He obtained the appropriate building permits on his own and provided a written contract before the work began or money changed hands. Workers showed up at 8 AM daily and left at 3:30 PM or later. I was able to contact him by phone at all times. His estimate price was in the middle for the three that I obtained. He was well-informed about the quality of various types of siding and windows. He was able to select an appropriate grade that correlated with our budget.

+ 0 moreI needed a very large A/C installed. I called them and they responded right away. I think they came that very afternoon. Both men were very pleasant, and got right to work. They handled the air conditioner very carefully, installed it and the braces underneath. They cleaned up nicely after they finished (didn't make much mess, really), collected their check and left with a smile and a handshake. I'll definitely call these guys whenever I need handyman jobs done! Great work!
