Description of Work: My mother owned a home in Huntington,wv that was built in 1996. Nice smaller home for her being a widow. She had hired Mr. Black to replace freon in the heat pump that was for the home. Last August 2016 she paid 6,500. for Mr. Black to install a brand new Maytag heat pump,she was beginning to fail and she was very proud of her new heat pump. In October of 2016 we put my mother in the hospital and I began coming to her home everyday to take care of her Chihuahua and each day I noticed, warm or chilly outside there was ice formed all around the bottom of unit. I made sure no filters were dirty and I mentioned this to my mother and she said Mr. Black said it was caused by humidity. Same scenario happened daily,so she asked that I call him which I did on a few occasions and nothing was checked in person and my mother,still in hospital became very upset about it. I called Mr, Black he told me to put it on emergency heat and it would be comfortable until he would repair it. Well my mother passed in Feb. of 2017 and she willed the home to me. We are putting the home on the market and cannot with no heat or air service, we had asked and asked for the unit to be repaired and running the emergency heat all winter doubled my mother's electric bill and budget. Recently Mr. Black came once sprayed water on something and said it had too much freon so he released some and said it was fixed. it was not. Said he would try to repair it again,that it had to be a piston. Said he would order the part,would be a 24 hr. turn around. We made one appt., he didn't show up. After 2 weeks he came yesterday 7/7/2017 worked awhile on it ,the compressor turned on,he said it was fixed. My husband checked inside and told him the air was blowing but not AC, he said "it will, give it a while". Left the home with the system on 72 degrees, with the house being 80 inside. Came back in 10 hours and the home was 81 degrees. Turned it off and now I am at a loss.

Description of Work: Black's Heating and Cooling installed a new power flue vent and disconnected an old furnace vent that leaked. Description of Work: I couldn't get my furnace started. They came to look at it, got it started, detected a leak, showed me everything, explained everything. I asked for a quote for a replacement system so they waived the service-call fee. They had the quote on my doorstep by the next day. Their prices were very reasonable. Once I had secured the money they scheduled the work within a few days and worked very hard to ensure I had heat restored to my home before an impending cold snap came through. They were both professional and personable. I would highly recommend them to others.
