I had no reservations about hiring Mr. Shauer since I had hired him before for other home and handyman projects such as door and lock repair, tree removal, landscaping, storm door installation, and plumbing repair. I have seen other projects and homes he has built I knew it would be nice. I wish I knew how to post a picture of the porch on here. My next home improvement project will be laminate wood floors for my living room and hallway.
Description of Work: I purchased a home and the back covered balcony was boarded up shut. I wanted it opened back up and have flooring, railing and steps added to give second floor access to the backyard. Mr. Shauer put together a very reasonably priced proposal on labor and supplies. He even gave suggestions for the steps since I have a disability. He was prompt, professional, and very neat not to leave garbage and loose material around, and I really liked his attention to detail. The job was completed in just a couple of days. The porch/balcony is beautiful.

 + -1 moreHe does handyman job as well, as he starts a job and really doesn't finish. I think he is capable of doing good work, but it's not good if it's not done. I would not recommend him to others. His price is very reasonable. The railings collapsed, and he never fixed it, and I had to hire someone else to fix it.

Description of Work: He remodeled our kitchen and built a two story garage for me 2 years ago. He is the neighborhood builder. He built a house in my neighborhood. He does kitchens, roofs, decks, and just about everything.
