Mr. Handyman of Martinsburg and Charles Town

My project involved : removing 2 sets of vertical blinds and valance, removing one set of horizontal blinds, repairing 2 sets of bi-fold closet doors, and repairing 1 doorbell. I did most of the clean up and still this job took 4.5 hours and my doorbell was not repaired. The technician was very polite, knowledgeable and gave great customer service. The cost of the service seems excessive.

This is great but if you let them book for you it is very expensive and best to have three to review prices and book them on you own.

We had leaking water and they had completely fixed in under an hour. Great service!

I’m not sure if everyone was having a bad day but this definitely didn’t turn out like I thought it would. They were here for around four hours and my bill ended up being almost $600. When I went to go inspect some of the work I realized that they did not do anything inside of my shower. I saw them in the shower so I assumed they were doing what I asked, when they shut the door I never opened it again because I thought it needed time to dry. I got in the shower the next day and nothing was done. They sent someone back out but then I got charged for labor again. I was able to talk to someone who lowered the price to $30 instead of $90 though (for 10 minutes of work). The problem with that is, they were going to send someone out anyway, he had to come and replace the smoke alarm that he melted while he was installing new drywall. I guess I just didn’t understand why I had to pay the fee for them to come out when he had to come out and correct his mistake anyway. Plus everything that wasn’t done, I told him to do while he was here the first time and assumed I had already paid for it out of the $600. There were a few drywall holes repaired that are still giant craters too. The guys were nice, I just won’t be using them again in the future. Too much money for substandard work.

He was a really nice guy, arrived on time and completed the project quickly. I would use this service again if needed.

The gentleman that came and did the work; professional, pleasant and did a fine job. Was grateful for the continuous work and made my place look great.

Was kind of pricey for the replacement of two screens.

I was under the impression that there would be more than one man to do the work. I was disappointed because the basement door was a mess. He must have just let the dirty water run off the house down on the foundation and the door without spraying them off. I do consider the basement door part of the house.

Mr. Handyman does almost everything, but their fee is charged by the hour.

The guy was very pleasant. I had two bi-fold doors, one to put back on track, and the second one was to install the top portion of the track so the doors could be put on for usage, since the bottom was already completed. I think they are too high priced for the $160.00 hourly rate. This is not economical for widows on set incomes. I had two other jobs, however he talked me out of both of them, I knew what I wanted and how I wanted it done. He completed both bi- fold doors with 20 - 30 minutes left but I was still charged the full $160.00.

The cleaning was very thorough.
