He was nice enough, but did not arrive until 11:00 AM, spent lots of time on the phone, and did not know how to tie the new flooring into our existing house. He left for days at a time, promising to finish the job. He left crowbar marks down a 30 foot section of wall and broke the existing trim in the house. He took six months to do what was considered a 3-5 day job. Because he did not know how to do any finish work, when all was said and done, the larger company had to hire another woodworking company to do the finish work, at another additional 1,000.00 cost to them. I would never let Kevin back in my house again.
Description of Work: Kevin was a subcontractor for Lowes, hired to install wood floors in three rooms of our newly purchased house, built in 1967.

The overall experience was horrible. Kevin is nice enough, but not professional or knowledgeable in his field. He shouldn't be laying floor if he doesn't know how to do the finish up trim work. He makes excuses and talks on the phone a lot. I think he has overextended himself in trying to establish his own company and it shows greatly in his attitude and work performance.
Description of Work: Kevin started a two room wood floor install job early Feb. Both rooms were rectangular shaped with no special angles or design that required specialty work in laying the floor. We had just bought the house and I stored the furniture in the garage until the floors were done. Kevin can lay floor, but he knows nothing of trim work, finishing the job, or the truth. He damaged my walls removing existing trim with his crowbar, forgot to order any finish transition pieces (6 in total), broke some existing molding in my house, canceled several work days, and often started working at four in the afternoon, making a one week job a four month job. The next three months were spent in trying to get him to come finish the job. Three months and three weeks later he shows up to finish the job, breaks more trim in my house, gouges the specialty transition pieces that he earlier tells me to go purchase because he doesn't know where to find them (when his 'nail gun' slipped,) then said he could not stay and finish the job. He only finished two out of six areas that needed finishing. He never even attempted to finish the wood floor where it meets the back patio door or kitchen cabinetry. He left my house with the broken and gouged wood saying he would make it right. I haven't seen him since. I would not have Kevin in my house again.
