"They will change the contract, promise a refund and never send it. They also will not respond to inquiries. Promised call backs that never happen. Promised call from manager, never received. We had the work done in May and they are still keeping my money as of August. If they change the work order do not pay the full amount unless you get a new contract. I made the mistake of trusting them."

"Raschke Concrete and Construction was hired to pour 2 concrete slabs and 2 transition pieces at our business (The Sandstone Retreat) totaling 14 yards on concrete for the price of $10,000. The owner Gabriel Raschke assured me that it would be no problem and that he could start next but he required half the money to get started. We told him that my wife and I got him name off of Angi's list but since we didn't know him we were only willing to give him 2,500 now and when he was finished with the forms we would give him a check for $5,000 to pay for the 14 yards of concrete. The concrete was supposed to be poured on Friday February 28th, 2025 so I took a personal day to supervise the job. Gabriel Raschke came Friday morning and informed me that the concrete will not be there until Monday March 3rd, 2025. I was not happy about this but if it had to be pushed back then it gets pushed back but I told him that I would not be on site that day. I instructed a good friend that was doing some work at the Sandstone Retreat that day to keep an eye on them and let me know how the concrete progress was going. The 1st concrete truck showed up around 12:45 on Monday March 3, 2025 and Raschke Concrete and Excavation started the concrete slab. I called my friend and was asking how the concrete was going. He informed me that they started so I said send me some pictures. He sent me some pictures and had some concerns about how it looked but I figured that it would be fine. My friend sent me more pictures about 20 minutes later and confirmed my concerns. I called my friend at the Sandstone and asked what was going on and he told me that it's not good. I sent Gabriel Raschke a text at 3:16 PM and asked what was going on but didn't get a response back from him until 6:37 PM saying that he is going to call the concrete company because they put to much calcium in the concrete and it set up to quickly. Gabriel called me and told me the whole story and said that there was too much Calcium in the concrete and he could get the job done because it set up to quickly. I told him that was not my problem and asked him how they are going to fix it. He said that he will put a skim coat of mortar on it and it would look good. I told him that won't fix the problem and that I want it all chipped out and removed."

At B&G Elite Concrete, we take pride in the fact that our customers always come first. That’s why we specialize in residential concrete. We offer decorative and regular concrete, from structural to patios, driveways, et cetera. We have 27 years of experience in the business and truly take pride in what we do. We will also gladly take a look at older projects that may just need a facelift or demo and replaced.

"I needed a concrete slab poured and finished with short notice and specific needs. B&G answered the call and out performed all of my expectations. The finish on the concrete floor in particular was impressive to say the least. I couldn’t be happier with the finished product and the professionalism exhibited during the process was a breath of fresh air —pleasant, honest, confident and personable. Experiences like this renew my faith in America. Thank you Bobby, Glenn and crew."

Voiers Home Services is a residential contractor in Jackson County, WV. We specialize in home remodeling, home maintenance, and new builds. We have been in the residential business since the early 1980's.

"I want to start out by saying I took a lot of time, thought & consideration in writing this review. At first, I was impressed with Brian (Voiers Home Services), he appeared to be a straight up honest, honorable, and good God loving man. I initially hired Voiers Home Services to install a large bay window, 10+ very expensive knotty pine solid core doors/with jambs and a new over the range Microwave. - He and his crew (at that time) of four others came out to install the new large bay window, 10+ very expensive knotty pine solid core doors and a new over the range Microwave. - He had his main and best two guys (at that time, one of them quit less than week later) concentrate on the bay window and that turned out decent, other than they never completed the job, and it remains unfinished even though I foolishly paid Brian in full for the bay window install. - He had a very new employee (who was being trained on the job and not very skilled or experienced) work with his other less skilled and experienced guy (who he literally later told me was extremely lazy and disappointing to him) to do most of the doors. _ To start, the morning they started the doors, before they even started, I explained to them that I had new and very different hardware for my new doors than what was installed in the previous being removed doors/jambs and showed them where that hardware was and stressed this, so they didn’t drill and bore the wrong templates/holes on these very expensive doors. Unfortunately, Brian's guys ignored/forgot this and used the old hardware on the new doors and drilled and bored them all wrong, which now will forever be an eye sore and also made the doors structurally weaker. - In addition, most of the doors were not hung/shimmed correctly and do not close or open correctly. I showed Brian and his main guy how bad the doors were installed, and also reminded him that we agreed that several of the doors would have a second bore hole drilled and he said he would have them all fixed and the second bore holes drilled, but he never returned and did them and he and his crew kept putting it off when they were at my home for five days straight (see reasons for this below), even though I foolishly had already paid Brian in full for all the knotty pine doors. - It should also be noted that this new not very skilled or experienced employee I mentioned above and below, only worked for Brian for a short time, because the guys parole officer forced him to move back the state of Florida. Brian potentially allowed a house robber and criminal come in to my home and business. Would you be okay with that? Google Elizabeth Ann Smart. - The microwave works and appears fine, but he had the above mentioned not very skilled or experienced kid do the complete install and he didn’t do a good job with the cabinet above the microwave. I also showed Brian and his main guy this and said he would have that fixed as well, but he never returned and fixed that either, even though I had already foolishly paid Brian in full for the microwave as well. He also said it would be really hard to use the old vent system where the microwave was installed and had them install it ventless, which I now wonder if was true, or just Brian trying to avoid having his kid do the install correctly. - Prior to realizing I had made a mistake in hiring Brian, I also hired him to install a new very expensive front door with sidelights, a new very expensive back French door, two new very expensive, triple pane, Krypton gas filled windows, and small overhang roofs over: Both the two new windows, the bay window, and the French door. - The installation of the new very expensive front door with sidelights wasn’t the best and the door isn't even level. Also, when they installed it, they had to cut out a portion of my home to make the door fit and this required moving a light switch (this was all very much expected), Brian decided to not take the 15 to 20 minutes to remove the calking that held the electrical wire for the light switch in the addict and just drilled a hole through my home's framing and strung the electrical wire back up to the addict through it. Which created a massive amount of work for me as the wires were now near the front of the house and due to my roof slanting pattern made it very difficult to get to the wire with almost no space or extra wire to work with. I explained this to Brian, and he said he would have his guys take care of it, but even though he and his crew spent a complete straight week at my house, they never did, and they just kept telling me they would do it later in the week. Eventually Brian admitted to me that he had no intention of sending his guys to the addict to correct his horrible decision and he instructed his guys to just keep putting it off and lie to me. Had Brian not been lazy and not made such a horrible decision and just taken the time to remove the calking and then pull the wire out from the addict, I would have had 10+ feet of wire to work with instead of less than a foot. The fact that Brian instructed his crew to not fix this issue and to lie to me is evidence of his dishonesty. - In addition, when he quoted me for this specific door install, it was agreed the cost included moving my living room closet door over several feet and installing the new sheetrock, but not taping and/or mudding it. He even picked up and charged me for two large sheets of sheetrock to do this. But they never installed the sheetrock and after the fact, Brian said the cost did not include that (during our very last conversation). I foolishly did everything with Brian via handshakes and verbal agreements, and always paid him in full prior to each job being 100% completed so I sadly am shafted on that one for sure. - When it came to French door, not only was it installed poorly, Brian and his guys left a massive, large mess on my back porch and multiple contractor trash bags. It literally took me 4+ hours to clean up after them for just the back deck project and several more hours for the mess and contractor trash bags they left out in the front of my home just from the front door, two new windows and roof overhangs. They had done a decent job cleaning up after the initial bay window install, but for everything else when they came back out for the one complete week, they didn’t clean up at all and trashed my home inside and out. - To be honest I am not even sure they did a good job installing the two new very expensive, triple pane, Krypton gas filled windows and plan to have whoever I hire next, look them over and let me know. - As far as the above mentioned four small roof overhangs, I had them install, they did a pretty poor job on them all. For one, they don’t all look the same. Secondly, they didn’t install the very expensive copper penny roofing, I purchased the same or similar on any of the four overhangs. I showed Brian how his guys installed the side copper penny materials/roofing and how they left massive openings that will and are already only after a few warm days being used for hornets/bees nests and asked that he have them re-do the sides, even if it meant I had to spend several more hundreds of dollars on the copper penny materials/roofing/sides because there was no way to re-use what they installed incorrectly. Brian strongly refused and said that is how he and his guys install metal siding/roofs/etc (thank Jesus, I didn’t hire them as I was considering, to install a completely new metal roof, because if they cannot install small overhang roofs correctly, there is no way they would do a good and professional job on a complete roof install). - In addition to how poorly they installed the four small overhang roofs, I noticed they used very old, used, and weathered wood on two of them, which made no sense to me. Because I provided the bulk of the materials for most of the work/jobs they did, and I had purchased new pressure treated lumber for all four of the overhang roofs so why did Brian’s main guy not use that wood and went with very old and weathered wood instead? It made no sense at all, and Brian’s main guy was very insulted"

Patio repair services FAQs

The average cost of a paver patio is around $3,800 for a standard, 280-square-foot patio, but prices commonly range from $2,400 up to $7,000, depending on the size, the type of paver you choose, and any add-ons you opt for. The design and shape of your patio can also increase labor costs if your patio installer needs to cut curves in pavers or spend time arranging them in a specific pattern. Some additional costs to consider include site preparation and excavation, as well as additional materials, like concrete, crushed gravel, and drainage equipment.

Concrete repair costs range anywhere from about $0.10 to $0.15 per linear foot to fill minor cracks, to about $6 to $14 per square foot to replace damaged concrete slabs. Repair costs vary widely depending on the size and type of work needed. For example, replacing 100 square feet of driveway will cost between $600 to $1,400, on average.

The average cost of stamped concrete is around $12 per square foot, but you might pay anywhere from $8 to $28 per square foot. The average 12-foot by 12-foot patio costs $1,730 on average. Your exact pricing will depend on the patio’s square footage, the condition of the area where you want to pour the concrete, the desired stamp pattern, concrete coloring, concrete grade, and local labor prices. Don’t forget to budget for extra costs like land preparation and additional concrete fortifications if necessary.

The average cost to enclose a patio to create a sunroom is around $5,000, and prices generally range from $3,000 up to $10,000. The price you pay will depend on the state of your patio and whether it needs repairs or additional structural support, the quality of the materials you choose, the size of your patio, and whether you plan to run utilities into and finish the sunroom. The price for a fully finished patio enclosure could run up to around $20,000, while you might pay just $2,500 for a screened-in porch.

In almost all cases, you will need permits if you plan on building a sunroom over your patio, but regulations and requirements will depend on your municipality. Permits to enclose your patio will usually cost between $300 and $1,000. Since navigating local building codes and zoning requirements is challenging—and the consequences of not following them can be extremely expensive—we strongly recommend hiring a sunroom builder to complete the work and pull the permits for you.
