Dodrill Heating & Cooling Your Dr Energy Saver

Its a challenge to write a review in a situation where I have not a single criticism. Serviceman came on a Saturday evening within 40 minutes of calling Dodrill Heating and Cooling. He was very knowledgable and helpful. Mindful of his work boots in a residential home & wore shoe covers. His explanation of what needed done and the associated cost was straight forward without any undisclosed costs. He did the work that needed done, did an excellent job of cleaning up after himself. Most impressive was how pleasant he was as an individual.

they arrived when they said they would,they introduced themselves, they were very professional andcourteous and went right to work, it was very cold outside and a big snow on, they never complained about the cold. they were efficient and I would recommend them to anyone. the salesman that came to my home was a very nice man and knew what he was talking about,he answered all of my questions and was patient with me no matter if my questions were stupid or not,a lot of people get impatient with older people but he didn't and I relly appreciated that.,if you need new heating or cooling I highly recommend dodril heating and cooling,their phone # is 304-776-8094 you wont be sorry. drema

I am very pleased with the installation of my new heating and cooling units. The technicians conducted themselves in a very professional manner. They removed the old units and took them away to be disposed of in the correct way. Each time they would enter the house they would put protective covers on their boots so they wouldn't carry dirt in. The installation took just a matter of a few hours and when the job was finished the lead tech. showed me the completed work and fully explained everything about the use of both units including the setting of the new thermostat. They also tested the units to make sure that they worked properly before leaving. All in all it was a job well done.

They were suppose to do a simple job of repairing to lines on my ac. I had already taken off the panel and troubleshoot the problem. All they had to do was show up and fix the lines and add refrigerant, for some reason they could not handle this simple task. They Called me two hours late and said they would have to order a part(which I told them before what they would need). This is the most unprofessional company I have dealt with.

We used Dodrill for 2 or 3 years and we were fond of the services they provided. We never had a problem, and most of the time technicians were efficient, pleasant and knowledgeable. I suppose that nothing ever broke though, and I never had to question their guarantee of the services provided. Therein lies the problem. The company did not stand by any of its guarantees in my situation. I had multiple problems with an improperly cooling AC unit that they had "rejuvenated" earlier that year that required two service calls thereafter. Keep in mind that this company is allowed to use the claim that they "Guarantee your unit won't break down that summer" if you use their rejuvenation service. They state this on TV - on HGTV, as a matter of fact. I am not an unreasonable person. I did not mind to pay for the repair the FIRST time; things happen. Asking me to pay for a repair that was guaranteed not to happen (by two different guarantees at this point) was when I decided that no, I'm not going to let this continue. The last call about the issue at hand (made literally an hour after the technician left from "fixing" the problem the first time) was diagnosed over the phone by the technician that had just left. If I had allowed the technician to order the part and install, would have been another incorrect diagnosis on part of the company and more wasted money out of my pocket. One of Dodrill's competitors in the valley later fixed the problem; it was none of what I was told that it was by Dodrill. The end result was that between the two companies, we spent over $1,600 that year on our 8 year old unit, and we could have bought a new one for $2,500 (ish). It took a complaint to the BBB to get them to explain their "Fixed right or it's free" guarantee, and it's still a joke. I'm still not sure that they ever did. I would err on the side of caution when dealing with this company, and before doing business with them, I'd ask them to put their guarantees, with specific definitions, in writing because in my opinion, their word means nothing. I'm unsure how they haven't been sued for their advertising by now, honestly. Perhaps my experience was not typical, maybe they have stood by their guarantees with others, I can only speak for my experience, and as a loyal, paying, repeat customer, I was treated poorly. My intent is not to "get even" with this company, but only to point out that their advertising is erroneous and deceptive. I would advise that a person does not use this company without having a firm understanding of their "agreement," which is honestly still not clear to me. If a business cannot stand by their no asterisk guarantees, they should not be able to use them to advertise.

T REVIE ABOUT ATO THIS IS THE MOST DISHONEST AND DECEITFUL COMPANY I HAD EVER DEALT WITH.AFTER USING THE GENERATOR FOR THE FIRST TIME IT BURNED MY AIR CONDITIONER WHICH I HAD TO SPEND ANOTHER $ 6500.00 TO REPLACE IT.ALSO AFTER 8 MONTH OF INSTALLING THE GENERATOR ,THE PLATFORM ON WHICH THEY PLACED THE GENERATOR SANK AND THERE WAS ANOTHER DISASTER. EVENTUALLY I HAD TO PURCHASE ANOTHER GENERATOR AND SPEND ANOTER $12000.00 TO REPLACE THE GENERATOR WHICH WAS NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO COVER OUR HOUSE . I CONTACTED THE COMPANY'S REP MANY TIMES ABOUT ALL THIS PROBLEM BUT NO SUCCESS.ITHIS IS MY FIRST REVIEV IN MY WHOLE LIFE , BUT I HAD TO DO THIS ONE AND DON'T LET THIS IRROSPONSIBLE COMPANY TO GET AWAY.

Gave me an estimate for the cooling system where the labor/installation was the same cost as the system. Was not interested in putting in the system, wanted to do a whole house review to see where improvements could be made to improve heating and cooling. Cost would have been terribly high which I suspect is why they want to do it.

Dodrill advertises 24 hr emergency service. Saturday morning our furnace had shut down with an error code. Placed call to Dodrill which was answered by their answering service. The person who answered was very professional, took my information, and said he would forward to the technician who should contact me shortly. After not receiving a call in over an hour I decided to call once again. The same person answered and said he would forward my information again and I should be contacted shortly. Did not receive a call within another hour so I called another vendor. This vendor also advertised 24 hr emergency service. Very similar process in that an answering service took the call and told me there were a few calls ahead of me but that a technician would call me soon. Within 30 minutes received a call from the competitor's technician. Never did receive a call from Dodrill over the weekend. Finally received a call from Dodrill on Monday morning. This is the second time we have tried to use Dodrill on a Saturday morning with our furnace down on a very cold day. No response all weekend but then received a call on Monday morning. Dodrill probably shouldn't advertise 24 hr emergency service if they will only return calls during normal business hours. We will no longer consider Doddrill for any of our HVAC needs.

The sales professional was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. My husband chose to buy from another company, but we will definitely consider Dodrill's in the future if we need heating and cooling services.

The company representative that gave the the estimate was knowledgeable and answered all questions. The initial estimate was $7400+ for a new York heat pump system that included a 10 year parts and labor warranty. I explained that I had another estimate that was significantly lower. The other estimate was for a Coleman system with a 5 year parts only warranty and was just over $5100, I did not give these details. The representative called the company owner who said that if I was flexible about the install date and would pay the full amount by cash or check the new system would cost $5769. I felt that the better warranty and quality of the York system was worth the extra $700+ and agreed to have the York system installed. The installation crew did a great job and at no time did they get into a rush or cut corners. After the installation was complete they spent another 2 hours checking, testing and explaining everything that I needed to know about routine maintenance.

They called me before they came to let me know of their arrival time. They were very courteous and put shoe covers on before entering the home. They went over all costs up front before starting the work. I would use the again.

Experience was overall good. I think a bit expensive on the thermostat but it kept me from having to go buy one and then try to install it. Gave me a quick quote on installing duct work to cool the upstairs.... a bit expensive but we will see on what the other quotes will be. The technician was very friendly and professional and knowledgeable.

Dodrill Heating & Cooling have always been good to me. They show up when they say they're going to show up.

The rep came to the house quickly, which I liked. He appeared very professional in appearance and demeanor. I stayed with him the whole time he was at the house which was less than 30 minutes. He first checked the thermostat, then went to the garage to look at the central unit. He opened up one panel and told me the filter was filthy. The filter had been cleaned a few days before so there may have been some dirt on it but not a lot. He then took his flashlight to look at the coils. He said the coils were filthy. I tried to view the coils but could not due to a physical disability. He then tried to sell me a vent cleaning for $800. When I said I could not afford that he then tried to seel me a coil cleaning for $250. This I also declined due to financial strictures. I asked if the coils were cleaned would that take care of the lack of cooling and he said it would do no good. He did not even go out to look at the heat pump nor did he try to do a charge on the unit.

Very pleased with the responsiveness of the company and the service technician. Communicated very well and gave us costs and options up front to allow my wife and I to decide on which option our budget would allow.

They were very professional, and they knew what they were doing. They put shoe covers on, and he measured the entire system inside and out. They provided us with a professional quote. We ended up not having the work done, because we didn't need to. As far as the quoting experience, I think they did a good job. I would have Dodrill give me another estimate if I needed to.

Dodrill Heating and Cooling is extremely thorough and very professional. We are happy we found them. We have a yearly service plan with them.

They're a local company and have been around for awhile. The employees were nice, but other than that I don't have any positive things to say. I think the unit was too over sized for our house. Every time the unit kicks off the duct work is so loud. They said the duct work is getting old, but it didn't happen before. The unit just kicks on and off at weird times. The first year when they installed it we had them back at least twenty times. It wasn't a good fit for our home. They never did fix it.

My experience with this company has been nothing but positive and I am happy with their work and product. Everyone who represented the company was very professional ,knowledgeable and friendly. As I had two different sets of installers I saw the same consistent professionalism with them both.

I already have referred them to a friend. I was fairly happy with their price. Hopefully, I won't have to use them again. But I would call them back if I did.

We called Dodrill because their TV ad states, "We fix it or it's free." Wrong! The technician showed up, looked at my unit, and after telephone calls back and forth with the main office, told my husband we needed a new one. He then went on to tell my husband he had been working on HVAC for about two weeks. We decided to get a second opinion. We had another company come out. Upon inspection of the outside unit, the second technician asked me who had cut the wires in the unit? I told him that I certainly had not, and that Dodrill was the only other company who had inspected the unit. Wow...

They did the work very neatly and very fast. I will use this company in the future.
