+ -1 moreSee above, so the part came in and he sent someone else to put it in, which he was two hours after he said he would be here, than it only took the guy an hour and half to put it in. The guy did not give me any bill or information about the new part. I received a bill about a week later. It was for 600.00 and some dollars with a charge of shipping for 99.00 and the rest for labor. I called him and ask if the was any new warranties for the new part, and he said there was no papers with it. So I asked about the labor charges, and told him how long the guy was here, and he replied that he was going by what his employee told him.
Description of Work: he gave me an estimate of 500. to 600. I ask why so high he said because of labor, the has to order a part for the furnace and take it all apart to put it on. The part was still under warranty so it didn't cost anything, So I thought it might take a long time to put in

+ -1 moreI never saw the bill, then he charges me $450.00 for labor which I think is way to much. its like 200.00 an hour. I have not contacted him, or made a payment yet. I would like to get some feed back before I do anything.
Description of Work: I contacted Mr. Starkey because the furnance was not sounding the same as it usually did. So after 3 days he comes out and inspects the furnance and says I need a new primary heat exchanger. So I asked how much that would cost he says around 500.00 dollars, he calls the furnance company and it is still under warranty so I do not have to pay for the part just shipping, so I asked why it would cost 500.00, he states mostly for labor. Because he said he had to take the thing apart and put back together so I thought it would take awhile to do. He charges me 79.50 for that. A week later the part comes in and one of his employees comes out to do the repair he was here for less than 3 hours. I get a bill in the mail a few days later, the is a shipping and processing fee of $149.00 which I

water softeners
+ -1 moreThey deal mostly with water softeners. We got a top of the line water softeners and paid good money for it because it works great. It was just a great experience. The older guy that put it in really knew his plumbing and stuff. He did a very good job.

+ -1 more.They are great and they really did a good job. It has worked great from the beginning and they haven't had to come back out at all. Especially the other man they sent out to me he was older but more experienced.
