Standard Exterminating Company Inc

I hired the company to put insulation in my home. The office out of Kenova, WV did the work and they did a horrible job. First they drilled holes into my siding and ruined it. They put white plug in the holes which looked very tackey. The workers also kicked in two big holes in the front of my house they I discovered when I was getting new decking installed this week. They didn't put insulation or plastic down in the one of the corners which was kicked in. They also poked a hole in my ceiling and made a big mess. They didn't notice the access point at a vent on the top of the house. They also put vents in and just placed them on the foundation and didn't secure them. They really did a very unprofessional job and now it is going to cost me more money to repair the damages they caused.

I had this company come out to kill some yellow jackets on the outside of my home. Not only did the technician, Wendell Brown, have to make multiple visits and spray multiple chemicals, they didn't kill all of the yellow jackets and, in fact, drove them INSIDE MY HOUSE! They refused to provide a list of the chemicals that they used, even though state law requires that they provide MSDS sheets and/or labels for all of the products that they used. I still have yellow jackets in the house, even though they've sprayed more chemicals than anyone's ever seen. Finally, the owner's son, Brian, came out to the job. I expected resolution to the problem. WRONG! He threatened to charge me more money, and THEY DROVE THEM INTO THE HOUSE!!!! His solution was to insulate the ceiling so they couldn't get out... that was ridiculous! They're insects - they'll find a way around insulation! The fumes inside our home are very strong from the over-application of chemicals; both my wife and I have headaches and we can't stay at our house right now. I went out to their truck before they left and asked for a list of chemicals they used; I even told them my wife was having headaches. The guy yelled, in a nasty tone, "sorry" as he sped off. I tried calling the first technician, Wendell, and told him the same thing and asked for the chemicals - he HUNG UP ON ME! These guys are very unprofessional and a hazard to your health. They showed a complete disregard for human safety. I ended up calling a nationally-recognized company, who asked to remain anonymous, to inspect what they had done. He was very knowledgeable and very professional. The fact that they refused to give me a list of chemicals is illegal, and trust that we will report and pursue this to the full extent of the law. I also found out that Standard used INCORRECT TREATMENT! What they should have done was used a dust that killed the entire colony over the course of a week or so. Steer clear from this company if you value your health or your money. Go with a nationally recognized brand, not an incompetent, unprofessional bunch like these guys.
