I am always pleased with my experience at the South Hills Market and Cafe - from the offerings on the menu to the rapport with the staff and owners. There is no other restaurant in Charleston that I visit as often - it truly is all about the experience. It's all about attention to detail - the staff and owners possess a positive attitude, the restaurant is clean and cozy, the food is fresh, unique, and outstanding. Every menu item that I have had - and I travel across the country and eat out 30+ times a month - I have enjoyed more at the South Hills Market and Cafe. The bakery case full of Huge Cookies, Muffins, and Cakes is unsurpassed in the city of Charleston - in appearance, availability, taste, and value. The take-out case always has an exceptional selection - unsurpassed in taste and always better than drive-thru for a quick dinner. It comes as a surprise to almost everyone that they can pick up a complete dinner - like meatloaf, roasted chicken, pastas, beet salad and Mediterranean salad, plus dessert ! All items are very reasonable priced. I must tell you my very favorite offerings are the Vidalia onion rings with Meyer lemon aioli as a starter - yummy. The Grilled Chicken BLT as a wrap with a side of Mediterranian salad for lunch - half size...so that I can save room for Pan seared scallops for dinner - fabulous! You must try this restaurant if you haven't.

Richard and Anne are wonderful! Whether helping with a long planned for event or jumping in to rescue with a last-minute catering need, they are kind, courteous, helpful, prompt, reasonably priced and go way beyond the call of duty in presentation. I have used them for several events, and the food is always delivered timely, presented and served professionally and, most of all, is delicious. They specialize in the unusual, and are eager to work with you in creating the ultimate memorable meal.
