SUMMER 2004 The installation of the original heat pump system itself was without incident. It was completed in a timely manner and all workers were professional and timely including Mr. Sigmon. Each season as Mr Sigmon returned he was less friendly and less timely. During the last 3-4 years, it often took up to 5 phone calls across a span of 10-14 days to get a return call and/or visit. There was always an excuse but rarely an explanation. Winter 2009, Mr. Sigmon seemed as put out as we were that he once again had to return to do whatever it was that he was doing. He thought that my husband should have been able to take care of it. SUMMER 2011, Mr. Sigmon let it be known that he didn't really care about our aggravation although the system he had installed clearly had some kind of issue. FALL 2011, This SERVICE CALL was the straw that broke the camel's back. Unable to understand the problem over the phone, Mr. Sigmon walked into my home, straight to my temperature controls and shut everything off. I asked him what he was doing and how he possibly expected to hear the noise I had described. He mumbo jumboed unacceptably. The tech with him had barely heard it but was able to somewhat describe it. It was still not enough for Mr. Sigmon to understand. He kept saying that he never heard of such a thing. They went to check things out and found nothing. Stated that it could be the motor. Said that he'd call Trane. I did get a call from him about a week later with a suggestion from Trane who also said that they had never heard of such a thing. He said that he'd order the part anyway (keep in mind that he never heard the noise and also doubted there was one like it). I was about sick of his attitude at this point but locked in as he was already in the repair process. He never called to let me know that the part was in. It took 2 weeks to get a return phone call and someone to insert the part. The part fixed the problem and we have not had a problem with the noise since, thankfully. I told the tech to tell Mr. Sigmon not to bother sending me a bill because I wouldn't be paying it. He was rude, didn't return phone calls, let me know when the part was in, make a decent effort to get to my home with the part nor repair the original problem that required a twice yearly visit. He sent a bill for around $175.00 for 2 service calls. I thought he had quite a bit of nerve doing so. I did however ultimately pay it.
Description of Work: SUMMER 2004 we purchased our brand new (electric heat pump) heating and cooling system from Home Depot. Their contractor Sigco Heating and Cooling owned by Harold Sigmon and his team, were sent to do the ORIGINAL INSTALLATION. Every season listed below, our system would 'come on' once switched over from heat to cool or visa versa and blow air. The compressor would run. There would not be cold air in the summer nor heat in the winter.REPAIR DATES:WINTER 2004, MR SIGMON HAD TO RETURN BECAUSE OUR SYSTEM DID NOT MAKE THE SWITCH TO HEATING.SUMMER 2005, MR SIGMON HAD TO RETURN BECAUSE OUR SYSTEM DID NOT MAKE THE SWITCH TO COOLING. SUMMER 2009, MR SIGMON HAD TO RETURN BECAUSE OUR SYSTEM DID NOT MAKE THE SWITCH TO COOLING.During the Summer 2009 visit, Mr. Sigmon showed my husband what it was that he was doing and said that he should be able to do it. He once again, as he expressed every year, stated that he didn't understand why this always happened. WINTER 2009, MR SIGMON HAD TO RETURN BECAUSE OUR SYSTEM DID NOT MAKE THE SWITCH TO HEATING. My husband had tried what he said but it did not work. SUMMER 2010, My husband was able to make our system work somehow. WINTER 2010, MR SIGMON HAD TO RETURN BECAUSE OUR SYSTEM DID NOT MAKE THE SWITCH TO HEATING. SUMMER 2011, MR SIGMON HAD TO RETURN BECAUSE OUR SYSTEM DID NOT MAKE THE SWITCH TO COOLING.During the Summer 2011 visit, I expressed my aggravation that this had gone on since we bought our system and that my husband had only had success one time with what Mr. Sigmon had shown him previously and that even after that, he had to continue to come out. FALL 2011, MR SIGMON HAD TO RETURN FOR A SERVICE CALL. Unfortunately, our system had started making a strange noise. Describing the noise over the phone did no good at all. WINTER 2011 There was no problem with the system changing over, possibly related to the Fall 2011 repair. Here we are, going into SUMMER 2012, OUR SYSTEM IS NOT MAKING THE SWITCH TO COOLING. Friends have made several suggestions. Angie's list has given me the confidence to make an informed choice.

Very well.
Description of Work: When I had my house built in 1993, Sigco intalled my heat pump. Over the years, they have serviced the unit (when it rarely needed it) in an excellent manner. After nearly 20 years, I needed a new unit and there is no one else I would consider. The price was very good and the installation was fine. The owner is a man you can trust and he will be there if there are problems. I will use no one else.

I got a good deal with Sigco Heating & Cooling Inc. The owner was good and I liked working with him. He fought for a good price for me. The quality was outstanding. He finished the work very quickly but, I feel he could have communicated more with me.
Description of Work: I used Sigco Heating & Cooling Inc to replace the heat pump and the air conditioning unit.
