ANDREWS FLOOR & WALL COVERING CO

I ordered $7,000 worth of hardwood floors for a rehab that my company was doing. When the wood came in, it was defective (holes, rough spots and cracks). I immediately notified Andrews and the owners were VERY difficult. They came to the house to view the wood, they agreed to take it back. At first she wanted to charge me a 20% restocking fee and then stated that she did not have the money to refund me. I agreed to wait until 1/15 (3 weeks) for my money in exchange of the delivery fee being waived. On 1/11 I received a receipt where they had refunded the amount owed -$600. She added a credit card swipe fee ($460) and a deliver fee ($139 which we agreed would be waived since she didn't have the money to pay me immediately). In all, they refused to refund $600 of my money. I guess I was supposed to pay them for selling me defective wood. I am having to sue them to get the remainder of my money.

Installation was top notch. The quality of the product was excellent. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for quality carpet installation. They worked tirelessly with our contractor to insure that we had a positive experience. Excellent experience, overall.

Andrews is a local provider with an excellent reputation. I was happy with the installers and with the carpet installed. I don't know about price as I did no price comarison. However, I expected more from the salespeople in the way of information and help in choosing the product. I went to Andrews expecting to receive information about the various flooring options and their relative advantages, disadvantages. I was interested in cork flooring initially and was shown samples, but provided no information. I expressed my dismay at the lack of help. When I learned on asking that cork could not be installed on stairs I changed to carpet and was pointed to carpet choices, but again there was no discussion of the choices and only accidentally found the sample book with the carpet I finally chose. I finally did on-line research before making my final decision. I don't know what the norm is for flooring sales and installation companies, so maybe my expectation was unrealistic, but such a purchase is substantial and most people aren't experts.

My house was built in 1985 and it had 2 layers of vinyl floor covering in the kitchen. The installers removed the old vinyl down to the concrete slab, cleaned and patched the concrete. They swept the floor until it was completely clean and allowed the patchwork to completely dry. They put down the new floor and replaced the black vinyl baseboard covering. It looks like a brand new kitchen! They did an excellent job.

Andrews has been around longer than I have. They have always delivered great service and competitive pricing. Their installers are good and service is courteous.. They installed both vinyl flooring and carpet professionally. They showed up when they said they would and finished on time with little interruption to my schedule.

The folks at Andrews are very polite and easy to work with. They also were quick to respond and did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. I am very satisfied with the result.

They were very good. The workmanship, timeliness, the worker's neatness they just did everything well.

The people in the office and even the installers were very nice and professional. Their price was reasonable. I am very happy with their services.

They have been in business for 50 years in this area and they are wonderful. They came quickly when I called. The installers were the most professional people I’ve ever worked with. They were courteous and they cleaned up after themselves. They finished the job in two days, which is pretty amazing when I think about what they had to deal with, and it is absolutely perfect. I am picky and I like things to be done right, and I am absolutely thrilled with the work that they did and I would give them my highest recommendation. They were kind to me. I would say that the cost was reasonable for the work that was done. I would use them again in the future if I needed to.

In all my dealing with this company their prices have been very fair, the installer is professional, polite and on time. I particularly like that the installers are employees of the flooring instead of contractors.

I haven't decided on which kind of flooring to use yet, but I will be using Andrews. The laminate floors are actually made to look like hardwood floors. My experience of getting the estimate was great. I actually went to their store and spoke with the lady there. She was very, very helpful and she answered some of my questions and arranged for one of their installers to come out and give me an estimate. His name was Chad. He was very thorough and very professional. We still have ongoing dialogues. It's just me and I can't figure out as there are too many choices.

Their service is very good. We had some problems with the flooring and they came right out and fixed it. The installation was very satisfactory. I think their price was competitive. We were very satisfied.

I am still waiting for the job to be done.***In the end I had a good experience. They ended up tearing up the floor for a possible defect that turned out to be a shadow from the light fixture. They were very pleasant about this and did so at no charge. During the reinstallation of the flooring they also repaired a ridge cause by the floor support.
