I honestly don't know where to start about this company. I have a rental condo and upon move out, my tenants are supposed to have the carpets professionally cleaned. They bought a Living Social deal for Laura's Cleaning Service for a cleaning in Alexandria. There was a 3 week back up on appointments, so I had to make sure I was there for the cleaning since they would have been moved out before the appointment time. So, the appointment was set for 3 weeks out. 3 days before the appointment, I get a TEXT message saying they had to cancel because of a broken cleaner (do they only have 1?!) and had to rearrange for the following week. I continued our text conversation saying this was unacceptable in that I had a tenant moving in May 1 and needed them done before then. After some back and forth, he got another team to come out at my originally scheduled time of 1pm. He then texted me and said "be sure to tip him." SERIOUSLY?! Tips are MY discretion and after that initial contact (texting me to cancel and not calling and then telling me to tip!), I was already leaning towards not tipping. Fast forward 3 more days and at 11:00 I get a call saying "I will be there at 11:30." I told him I had a 1pm appointment and that I also had a noon appointment so I couldn't be there at 11:30. I also told him I don't live there so it would take me some travel time to get there. He then got upset and told me, "Well, I can do 12:30, but no later!" HELLO! I had a freaking 1pm appointment! Not an 11:30 or a 12:30, but a 1pm appointment. Also. I'M THE CUSTOMER! At this point I KNEW I wasn't going to tip him! I got to the condo at 12:25pm to wait for him. They showed up at 12:50 (so much for throwing a fit and saying he had to be there 12:30 latest!) and I told him he needed to park in a non-numbered, non-reserved parking spot. He pulled his old mini-van into not only a numbered reserved spot, but parked right in the middle of 2 of them. He's super lucky he didn't get towed. Then, he sees the 2 rooms he was supposed to clean per the deal. He said "this room is bigger than a normal room, so I have to charge you an extra $25. Whatever, I told him I was so tired of the stuff they had put me through and that it was BS the lays that on me considering the stuff they had pulled. I paid it, though, just to be rid of him. They were done in about 30 minutes and I hopefully NEVER have to see someone from Laura's Cleaning service again. I would rent my own carpet cleaner than deal with these people again!!!
