He answered the phone right away and was able to make the service call later that same day. He figured out the problem right away and had the parts with him. The entire visit was under an hour. He was professional, attentive, polite, and curtious. We will certainly call him again next time.

I was considering buying a home with systems that were all well over 25 years' old: furnace, A/C, and hot water heater were all beyond their lives, which the home inspector had noted. I was still considering the house, so i called B&L (based on Angie's List reviews) to conduct a further inspection of the furnace and A/C. Bruce came over the next available business day (I called him on Saturday morning and he came over Monday afternoon!). He ran a camera into the furnace and discovered that the heater exchange was cracked, which meant the furnace needed to be replaced immediately. The inspection and estimate were free. He quoted me a bit over $4000 for a high-efficiency furnace replacement (not including the AC), which was slightly higher than I expected. However, given his punctuality and excellent performance reviews on Angie's List, I would have paid it for the quality service. (I understand from doing research on furnace replacements that it's more about the contractor than the furnace, as they're all basically constructed from the same few manufacturers.) The realtor did not want the owner (or me) to pay that much, so she called her HVAC guy in for a second inspection. He agreed that it was cracked and needed to be replaced. But I didn't want to use him because it turned out he wasn't licensed--I called the WV licensing board to ask because he wasn't listed on Angie's List or the BBB! So, I terminated the contract on the house and walked away. I am SO glad that I called B&L first, and that there were so many great reviews of him on Angie's List. I will call him again when I put another contract on a different house, or any time I need furnace work done!

He came to the house within hours of my call. Diagnosed my problem and took care of it in a matter of minutes. He is very knowledgable, professional and interactive. Explained to me how to avoid the problem in the future.

I called on a Sunday night. Brian arrived exactly when he said he would. Immediately diagnosed the problem, had a replacement part with him and repaired the unit in less than 30 minutes. It could not have gone better. I highly recommend B&L Heating & Cooling!

Called three local companies I found with Google. Soonest was 8 days. 80's high humidity and it's been four days of soaking my jeans and shirts with sweat and no sleeping.... I signed up with Angie's List, found Brian, and when I told him my story, he replied that he was on a job in Clarksburg, but would 3:00 o'clock this afternoon on his way back to Morgantown be alright! He was exactly on time, diagnosed the problem in about 40 minutes and then he apologized for not having the part on the van... and promised to be back and have it repaired by 4:00 the next day as he already had a large project for the morning to start his crew on. Long story short, at around 4:15 today the air conditioner kicked on, like he promised, by 5:00 I was living back in my igloo! The cost was $50 cheaper than his estimate the day before.... His concern about my discomfort was a breath of fresh air..

Called to confirm our appointment in the morning. Arrived when they said they would in the phone conversation. Installed the ac ahead of the projected time and went the extra mile by volunteering to dig up and save daffodils that were planted where the exterior unit would be placed. Everything was clean and all trash was taken away with them when they left. Very pleased with their professionalism. We'd had a quote to install the ac for less, but decided to hire B & L due to the reviews and ratings on Angie's List. We're glad we did and we're pleased with the work.

He fixed our AC which had been "dead" for about a year. He said, something stucked in the motor. He fixed it in 5-10 minutes. He was easy to contact and responsive. He also checked our water heater which has been damaged totally and give me some useful suggestions for free.

Unit was not getting power although previously (yesterday) only warm air was blowing (during 90 degree weather). The father and son team added me to today's schedule, and arrived a few hours after I called. Apparently, there was a fuse issue and it took only about 30-40 minutes to diagnose and repair. By the way, another local HVAC company still has not returned my call from yesterday afternoon!

This is the second time I have used these guys and they are great. Punctual, professional, honest, and great prices. Finding a company that fits all these criteria is strange in Morgantown, but these guys are really great.

We identified that our furnace was having an issue on a Friday night after I got off work. We changed out the thermostat, thinking this might have been the issue. But after finishing the new thermostat installation, our furnace was still not working correctly. Decided to call Brian based on Angie's list reviews, even though it was 6:00 on a Friday evening. Within a few minutes of being on the phone, he had already identified potential problems and some solutions. Temperatures were very low, and he was out first thing on Saturday morning troubleshooting our system. We discussed options, and decided to replace the aging unit. He got our old system to limp through, and Brian was back first thing on Monday morning. The new unit was up and running by noon (likely before anyone else could have even been out to troubleshoot our original issue from Friday!) Thoroughly impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. Will always call with heating/air concerns and would recommend Brian to anyone and everyone I know. Absolutely outstanding!

Came within two hours of being called for estimate; scheduled date within a week to complete work, arrived exactly on time, completed all work within three hours. They were fast, professional, and did excellent work. They did not try to sell me more than I needed and even helped fix a dryer vent for free while they were there. I will use them anytime I need heating, plumbing or other related work.

The replaced my old unit with an Air Temp Heating and cooling unit. Also replaced the thermostat. Completed job was need and professional. Brain and his son arrived at 10am and left at 4pm. Units work great. Cleanup was perfect

I contacted 3 hvac contractors for estimates on a new system. I am a retired electrican and told each contractor that i would install all branch ducts, do all electrical work,and install gas line. I made a drawing showing windows,room sizes,R-values of all walls and ceilings and locations of all owner installed duct runs with sizes.When I offered my drawing to the 3 contractors B&L was the only contractor that took it. The other contractors said they did not need it even though they did not write anything down when I showed them the house. B&L answered all my questions, pointed out some code issues I had not thought about,and worked with me on the installation of my new system. B&L was the first to give me an estimate, it was the middle one of the 3, and 3 weeks after signing contract my system is complete. Thank You, Brian and Travis.

Called B&L for second opinion on repairing vs. replacing central A/C. Reasonable prices, very professional and prompt service. EXTREMELY pleased with service provided. Will definitely call Brian for any cooling/heating issues!

I joined Angies List just to find a company to install central air conditioning for us. I went with B and L because they were professional about being on time for estimate and getting us all the information we needed. So if your looking for a company like I was and was in the dark who to pick, don't waste your time looking any further and have this company come out to see you. You will be pleased. I know whenever our aging furnace goes out and needs replaced, I'll be calling these guys back to fix us up.

I was very very pleased with the service. Another provider said that I needed to replace the entire heat pump. B&L said that only the outside unit needed replace and the inside unit just needed serviced. There other provider's price was $6,000 compared to B&L's $2800. After I hired them I requested they move the unit to the back of the house which was little additional cost. Everything was done in a timely manner with no problems. They did find a problem with my inside unit but fixed it for no extra charge.

I called about 9:00 am and he was here within 2 hours. Price was great. Father and son were personable. Would highly recommend him to anyone. I plan on using his service in the future.

If I could give these guys higher than an A, I would. I called about my a/c not cooling properly and he was at my house from ~20 miles away in an hour!!! Added 5 pounds (or so) of refrigerant to my unit and was gone in 30 minutes. Everything is now very cool. I called two places before that had more rating on Angie's List, but they were too busy. These guys earned a repeat customer and spokesperson today.

I called B&L on Saturday evening between 7-8pm and left a message. Brian promptly returned my call and I told him that my furnace fan was running continually. He suggested there may be a reset button on the limit switch. I tried to find that and returned a call to him explaining I didn't see it. He indicated he could come Sunday morning between 9-10am. He called me Sunday morning a little before 9am, and I gave him directions to my home. He arrive d by 930am and completed the job in a couple hours. He did thorough testing of the electrical system in the furnace and was able to isolated the problem. He made the required repairs, and my furnace is up and running again. I would definitely recommend B&L Heating and would call him back in the future if the need arises. His prices are fair and he did not charge extra for coming out on the weekend

Brian called back the same evening I placed a call to explain my problem which was water leaking from my furnace. He scheduled an appointment for the next day (after work, 4:30pm). He arrived on time and diagnosed the problem. He tried to repair the current pump, but could not. He could not replace it that day as he did not have a pump in his truck. He scheduled a return visit the following morning and completed the job in a short period of time. He told me to call if there was a problem with the new pump, but it worked fine.

After spending $4000 on heating fuel oil last year, my wife and I decided to replace our 1980s model fuel-oil boiler with a high-efficiency gas boiler. We called several companies, but Brian at B & L Heating and Cooling responded first, and with the lowest installed price for a quality unit with a great warranty. Brian?s installationwas fast, neat, and beautiful! He clearly explained how to operate and maintain the boiler, and promised that we could call him any time if we had any questions. Great Guy! This was an excellent experience. Being recently divorced, I am always very worried when something major breaks in the home. My air conditioner stopped working on the holiday weekend of July 4th. This provider not only answered the phone when I called, he was very professional and arranged for someone to come look at my unit on a Sunday, at my convenience. They were prompt, courteous, fast, and had reasonable rates. I have already recommended him to others that I know and will definitely be using him again.
