Dropped car off with weak electric in tank fuel pump. After original repair was informed it had a vacuum leak. I asked if the car had been checked for engine compression, no firm answer was rendered. Next thing I knew the cylinder head was off and being prepped for a trip to the local machine shop. I looked at the head to check valves and valve spring tension. I really saw nothing wrong. However the business owner (BTW this business is AKA Grays Service, the original owner sold out a few years ago). sent the head to the machine shop for about 150 dollars of un needed work Cutting to the chase, the head came back from the machine shop and was assembled. I picked the car up running just slightly better than when dropped for service. Engine check light came on 1 mile from shop. Unneeded used part was installed in the EGR control system. I found two cracked vacuum lines, and reinstalled the original EGR control system part, and replaced the TPS and my car ran great. Bottom line up front, poor at best troubleshooting skills. Unnecessary disassembly procedures, excessive wait time, and final insult a repair bill of almost 1300 dollars. You may want to consider ANY OTHER shop for repairs before stopping here.

I took an automobile fuel tank in to be cleaned at Jeff's Radiator Service. Jeff said he would call when it was ready. After a week I checked to see if it was done. Jeff was not in, but I could see it still had not been cleaned, so I said I would check back in another week. After another week it still had not been cleaned. Jeff gave no reason. I checked back yet after another week and Jeff was not in, and according to another employee nothing had been done. I decided I would have to take the tank back myself and take it to another shop. I stopped in on Monday (Aug 13, 2012--more than three weeks after I first dropped off the tank), and told Jeff I would pick up the tank. He said "Yeah, that's crap." I asked what he meant. He said it was full of dirt. I indicated that after ten years of sitting, I supposed that it was and that is why I bought it in. I said I could clean it myself and Jeff retorted in a sarcastic voice, "You do that!" This business, without reason, delayed the work and then became defensive and rude when I said I would have to take the tank back. At some point Jeff could have said he could not or would not perform the service and I would have been satisfied with that.
