Wisconsin Landscaping was contracted to build multiple retaining walls, patio and a firepit at our home. The contractor was shown which retaining wall block and pavers we wanted to use. Retaining wall in the front of house is now falling down. Landscaper installed wall 10 blocks high. Manufacture's spec states 5 high max. Geo-grid was said to be used by the contractor to anchor the wall. When inspected by other landscape architects, they informed us that no geo-grid was used. Landscape paper was used behind the wall creating added pressure to wall. A Registed Wisconsin Landscape Architect informed us that larger clear stone should be used behind the wall; therefore, landscape paper is not needed. Wisconsin Landscaping had agreed to reimburse us for the labor paid, but now states that the retaining wall block is faulty and not her fault. The manufacturer and three other landscapers said there is nothing wrong with the block and that the wall was improperly installed. Wisconsin Landscaping made her comments about the faulty block without even removing one block and inspecting it. Our patio was installed properly in the backyard, except for the retaining wall around the patio. After every rainfall, sand is leaching through the wall onto the patio. We also purchased multiple trees which were warrantied for one year. Two trees have died and to date still have not been replaced. When calling Wisconsin Landscaping back, we were sworn at and now our calls are not being returned.
