Fred Showed up at our house at the beginning of December of 2014 to discuss the work we needed to have done in our home. We had a leaky basement and Fred stated he could fix it. He looked over the work and gave us a quote. He also stated he could get the work done in about 4 or 5 days and for sure in less than a week. For the first couple of days, he showed up and started work. Then he started to show up later in the day and said he had to run after parts to work. He then began to not show up at all and not call. We had to call him and he would have more excuses for not showing up at all. He did not call us to say why he would not show up for work. The town we live in is a small village and we just moved there months prior. He advertised all over town and nobody in town told us anything negative about him or his business until he started to not show up. By then it was too late. He had started to be already paid. Needless to say the time frame is now over a year. . . he has been paid in full and the work sits here unfinished. We can not give him a good review in any way shape or form. We cannot speak for anyone else, but have been since told of other situations with other customers that are not satisfied. The work he did was also not done very professionally. Parts of what he did needs to be redone, but if he does not show up, we can't get him to fix it. I would never hire him to do another job in our home once he finishes this job and gets it done correctly. When speaking with Fred, he has a pleasant personality and is very polite. He has never been rude in his tone, but will tell you anything he thinks you want to hear. Beware.
Description of Work: Fred showed up on december 3rd, provided us with a quote for the work, parts and labor. Stated he would be complete with the work in less than a week. He asked for his money up front to pay for all supplies that was included in his quote. Once he got the money, he started to make excuses for why he could not show up for work., yet he was constantly in a neighborhood establishment. He then began to avoid our phone calls and he would have few visits to our home. We would call him often and send him text messages. We would show up at his house only to get more excuses when he was ever home. Now its it February of 2016, and our basement remains unfinished. He says he is in Chicago quite alot and just can't get to our home. He once again said he would be over on the 18th of this month and he again is a no show. Our basement remains unfinished.
