I would highly recommend DJK. They remediated the asbestos in my attic and encapsulated the asbestos tape on my ductwork in the basement. They were professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. Their quote came in much less than expected.

I can't recommend this company enough- I don't usually write reviews, but my experience with Dan was truly exceptional! He was extremely helpful, professional, and definitely knew his stuff- 5 stars for quality- but what really amazed me was his customer service. Honestly, he kinda restored my faith in humanity! As a new first time homeowner, I've been working to remedy many costly and unexpected issues with my 100+ year old house that didn't come up in the home inspection. Dan was extremely kind, and went WAY out of his way to find a solution that would work for me, saving me almost a thousand dollars while still making it possible for me to be safe and healthy in my new home. A special note for the women out there: Dan was SO kind, respectful, and not at all patronizing (or creepy)! He explained the situation and options very clearly, and didn't make assumptions about my skill set (in my experience, a very rare quality!!!). Seriously, everyone, if you need these services, this is your guy!

I set up an appointment with DJK for a Thursday and they called a very short time before on that same day of the appointment to say they had an “emergency meeting” and could not make the appointment. They did give me $50 off of the service call and set up another appointment the following day. That day they did come but again called shortly before the appointment time to say they would be late. The service technician was knowledgeable and gave his opinion on the matter and I felt good about that aspect. The appointment was to remove a piece of my bathroom floor for asbestos testing. After the piece was cut out we went into my kitchen so I could write a check. The technician advised there was a very high probability that the flooring would come back positive for asbestos. He did not place the two pieces of flooring into any sort of bag or container and placed these likely contaminated samples directly on my kitchen counter where food is prepared. I’m not a clean freak but the counter was clean and there was no evidence that I use this counter as a work bench. I was completely disgusted by this and really wanted to ask him what in the world he was thinking. Further, I was advised the testing process would take 5 days on the high end. It has now been 11 days and I have still not heard anything back or even gotten a courtesy call to see what the hold up is. I also called this morning multiple times, was not able to get anyone to answer and left a message. At this point I really want the results back since I have taken time off of work to complete my project. I would not recommend this business to anyone and certainly would never use them again myself.

The workers were never on time and had excuses that could have been controlled by better planning on their part. Furthermore they NEVER gave me a courtesy call to explain the problems/delays. When the workers entered the attic they claimed that there were "some critters in the attic". They refused to continue or at least double check the claim. I was told I needed to get a pest control person to come and remove the "critters". I contacted a wildlife pest control company who came and: (1) could find no evidence of animal openings. (2) Nonetheless, he set multiple raccoon and squirrel traps with food left out to attract them. (3) After four days he returned and found NOT one single bit of evidence of any animals. His comment is "you don't even have a mouse up there". Needless to say, it was a figment of their imagination. The incident caused the loss of time before I could have a new air conditioner installed as well as the cost of the wildlife person. Even though I paid the amount owed to the abatement company, I did subtract the cost of the wildlife company from my total bill. I would definitely NOT recommend this company to anyone needing abatement services.

Very timely and professional. They were responsive from the first contact through all of the work - provided a professional inspection report and completed all work required without any problems.

Very professional, very honest. We ended up not needing the service due to lab results being negative for abestos. Did get a referral for siding job. Very fast response and getting back to us with lab results. Highly recommend.

DJK Environmental took care of all of our needs in asbestos testing and removal and did so in a timely and professional manner. Dan was so easy to work with and communicate with and went above and beyond before, during and after the process to answer all questions and address other needs. They also provided a detailed report of all work completed at the end. I highly recommend DJK!! Highly!

I have little to compare this service with and I doubt whether I will need it again. It was a good experience. Customer Service was excellent and the Technical Team was hard working and completed tasks on time. Their prices were less than other operations I contacted.

I brought in a small sample of drywall that had mastic on it. DJK tested the sample and provided an answer to my question about asbestos content very quickly. I would recommend them is you need to have samples tested.

The office manager is also very informative and responsive to all my questions. I had less stress throughout the project as DJK took the time to explain each step throughout the project. DJK was very quick to respond to our concern of asbestos in our attic insulation. The inspected our attic, provided a very respectable quote and remediated the insulation all within a week. The team was very respectful and were able to answer our questions throughout the project. During the removal process, the discovered areas of black mold. They took picture to show us what was going on. DJK was also able to remediate the black mold within the scope of the project for a very minimal additional charge. They did a great job of cleanup and our attic looks great.
