Description of Work: I have been using them for at least 10 years for plumbing needs. They busted through the floor in the basement and added a sink. they also put in a water heater, and installed a new toilet, among other jobs.

Description of Work: We had a very bad iron problem in our water. With their products of a water softner and iron eliminator system put in, they were able to stand by their products and get the iron out of our water. Installers were very nice, on time and very informative about their installation process. They certainly know their stuff, the installation process was very quick. I would highly recommend Maxwell White.

Description of Work: This plumbing company was called to our home twice to help us with an emergency situation. Both times they were required to repair work done by another plumber at substandard grade. Maxwell-White is excellent, performed the service quickly to help us out of a jam, had professional employees and did a fantastic job. All this at a reasonable cost!

Description of Work: I had a 60 year old outside faucet that was dripping and winter was coming. They installed a new faucet and inside shutoff. He was in and done in less than 45 minutes. It took a could days to get on their schedule, other than that I have used them before and would again.

+ 0 moreOverall it was very good service. It is super-easy to get an appointment for the same or next day. First they looked at our old water heater and it was decided that by the time we received the part for it and replaced it, that we may as well replace the whole water heater. They called in another person who brought the new water heater and they installed it quickly. I did think that the cost was a bit high, especially since they installed a 40-gallon gas one at our son's house a couple of weeks before that and his cost was either 850 or 895. I'm guessing we paid extra since we live a little further and then with the extra 10 gallons on the heater maybe. I would definitely use them again for emergency or more difficult jobs. But for easy jobs will probably go with someone that has a cheaper labor charge per hour.

Description of Work: Originally, they came to install a new vanity for us, but I had failed to have the right size faucets...my fault! The service person got everything ready and said he would come back when I got the faucet I wanted to fit the vanity. He also checked our water pressure tank which was leaking pretty badly! So thankful he showed us so we could get it replaced before a major disaster in our basement! I also questioned whether or not the last plumbing company had hooked up our outside water through our water softener. He traced the pipes out and yes, they had...so he took the time right then to change it the way it should be! Now my outside plants will be happy! The service was great! He was exactly on time. He let me know what he was doing with every step! Showed me how to make sure I knew where to shut off the water in an emergency! He couldn't have been nicer! This is the third time we have had Maxwell White Plumbing out to our house south of Stoddard! I can always count on them! Their office help is extremely nice and a pleasure to talk with! Thanks!! :)

He quickly installed the garbage disposal, cleaned up and was out the door in approximately 1 hour. Previously he had installed our washer, dryer and microwave oven. And I had the same professional experience.

+ 0 moreMaxwell White provided a great experience beginning to end. Very professional, punctual and thorough. I called and spoke with a woman to set the appointments. One to come out and see what was wrong with my water softener and the other to replace it. Both times a different man arrived and both times they were clean and friendly. They worked with my home warranty company and are billing them directly. Overall I am very impressed and will definitely call them again with any plumbing needs we have.
Description of Work: Removed old broken water softener and replaced with new water softener. Ran new lines for the water.

+ -1 moreI have never been more impressed with a single contractor -in every aspect of my contact with them- throughout this project -in my life. Their punctuality and accuracy in communications, accuracy/commitment in staying within their bid amount, courtesy, professionalism, and competency of every plumber on our job - was 5 STAR outstanding! The few items we did have to "remind them of" or there was a miscommunication on, they came back and corrected immediately, and assured us there would be no added charge for it. They are also one of the few contractors on our whole new homebuilding project that actually cleaned up after themselves. It seems to be a lost art! I can't tell you how refreshing it was to actually find out there are STILL a few honest, dependable contractors out there. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a plumber (and will) without hesitation....and I don't do that lightly.
Description of Work: Maxwell-White plumbing put the in-floor heat and whole house plumbing into our new home.

+ 0 moreI contacted Maxwell-White to purchase and install a new 40 gallon water heater to replace one that was leaking. I was able to speak to a plumber regarding switching from a gas to electric heater and whether or not to upgrade to a 50 gallon water heater. The information he provided was helpful in assisting me to make my decision. The office staff provided me several two-hour windows of time in which to schedule the work. I could opt to receive a phone call when the plumber was on his way. The plumber who came was personable and efficient. He noticed a dent in the top of the heater and gave me the option to get a perfect one or have a discount as the dent would not alter the performance. He called in to authorize the discount and I was credited $45 on the cost. After installing the water heater, the plumber went over the controls with me and answered any questions that I had. I will use Maxwell-White again.
Description of Work: Maxwell-White delivered and installed a new 40 gallon water heater and removed and disposed of the old one.

Description of Work: Work being performed involved revising existing plumbing and adding new supply and waste pipes for a major bathroom renewal. This includes installation of a new custom deep soaking tub, dual sinks, shower, etc. This was my second experience with Maxwell-White -- the first was in 2009 -- installing a new commercial size gas water heater used for whole house heating and domestic hot water.

+ -1 moreThe receptionist I talked to on the phone was polite, and said she could have a man out there within three hours. Mark called in an hour and a half, told me his current location, which was about a half hour away. I was going to meet him there, but was almost two hours away. He called about 45 minutes later to say he had the leak fixed. I asked him to check the adjoining apartment, but he knocked and the tenant did not respond, we discussed a problem with noisy pipes, and he recommended the flush valves in the toilets be replaced, which is work that I can do myself. He left the kitchen area clean. We received a bill a week later, and thought it was reasonable. We had used this company several years ago, and had been satisfied with their service at that time, also. They were the only local company on Angie's List and had an A rating, so we called them again.
Description of Work: Mark from Maxwell, called on his way so I could meet him at the house, arrived promptly, and fixed a leak in a water connection to the kitchen sink. He removed, cleaned, wrapped with teflon tape a connection in a difficult to reach connection under the kitchen sink., answered several questions about noises in the pipes, and made recommendations for me to alleviate them myself. Two weeks later the leak hasn't reappeared.
