Description of Work: Two garage windows. GREAT JOB!!

Description of Work: Quality and workmanship was good. However, when Job was done, I was given an invoice for over $100 more than what I paid for. When I brought this up, I was told it was because the windows were larger than the deal stated. (they were not) |When I brought this up, they asked what "I thought was fair" and ended up paying an extra $50 out of my pocket. Awkward and shady.

Description of Work: Installed 3 glass block units in some basement Windows. Work was efficient and quicker than I expected. They cleaned up the job site very well. We are very pleased.

Description of Work: Our glass block windows are wonderful. We completely forgot that they were coming to install the windows when they did. They still managed to do the install even though we didn't prepare the basement for it, but I don't recommend this. Get your stuff out of their way before they arrive! Beautiful job and we are very happy. You won't regret having West Bend Glass Block replace those old basement windows.

Description of Work: I purchased the Big Deal to buy 5 glass block windows. When the estimator came out to look at the basement windows, he found them to be much larger than the deal called for. I had no problem with that, but the new price was much more than I had planned on paying. I decided not to replace the windows at this time.

Description of Work: When I initially called to schedule the replacement of my 3 28"x32" basement windows, Andy told me that the deal was for a minimum of 4 windows, that it was in the fine print at the bottom of the deal. I knew that it wasn't listed there, as that was why I had purchased it, the deals that I had seen before all had that restriction, and this one did not. I double checked my deal printout and called Andy back, he said that Angie's List had omitted it by mistake, and I could get a refund. When I looked online again, the restriction was there on one offer, but the one that I had purchased was still there also. Andy agreed to honor the deal that I had purchased, and I had them make our three windows with a vent in each one. They arrived on time and got right to work. They needed to remove the old windows and wood framing in order to mortar the new windows into the foundation. They also had to take out some old mortar from the edges and even out the edges of the blocks with a hammer drill. The new windows look great- much more glass area than the old wood-framed ones, and let in a lot more light. I gave the B rating on quality because I wish they had tried to give the mortar surface around the outsides of the window a smoother appearance over the edges of the block foundation on the basement side, and the vents are a little stiff to open (although they will probably loosen up with use). The windows themselves, which were custom built to fit our openings, are well constructed and look wonderful.

Description of Work: 5 basement original windows removed and replaced with glass block windows. We are remodeling our basement, and wanted to eliminate heat loss, and entry points for mice. We experienced some confusion regarding prep where the estimator/sales person instructed me to remove the drywall parameter around each window for easy access. The installers who arrived a couple of weeks later told my wife that it wasn't necessary. The had two men, one on the inside, one on the outside. The windows were installed from the outside.
