West Bend Glass Block

Very good. Arrived on time and was done much faster than I expected. Andy was very friendly and professional and did solid work. I plan to have him back for future needs.

The company came over and gave the estimate. I didn't have to be home for the estimate and there was no pushy sales call afterwards. They were the lowest estimate and had excellent reviews. When I called to tell them they had the job, Andy offered to come over the same day to install the windows. Windows were installed and look great. They took care of a foundation hole that was allowing mice into the house. In addition to doing great work, the installers were friendly and hard working. Job was $10 LESS than quoted. I couldn't be happier.

After the initial visit, he never called or responsive.

I'm happy with the window and the outflow dryer vent. There was a bit of a mess left around the area when they were done, but they were so fast and pleasant, and I plan on calling them when I'm able to replace the remaining windows in my basement from regular glass to glass block windows. I'm looking forward to less of a cold-air draft in my basement this winter since the window they replaced was cracked. I think their prices ( I was kind of shocked at how little each window costs to replace) were reasonable, and they were surprisingly fast and didn't seem to mind my curious five year old son watching over their shoulders asking questions while they worked. Friendliness and patience with children goes a long way, as does finishing the work in a timely manner. I wasn't upset about the mess because it was done in my basement and I can only imagine that a job like that won't come without a few paint or wood chips.

They were able to come out and give me an estimate on very short notice (same day!). The day they came to install they were early and cleaned up after themselves. They were very punctual, clean, responsive, and nice! I intend to glass block my other bathroom and my basement and will use them again in the future

The technician was very thorough and explained everything very well. They did a great job and were able to get it done very quickly. They were careful and didn't even destroy my garden in the process.

I could not have asked for anything better. They were done quickly and did quality work with no mess. I phoned West Bend Block on Monday. I received an estimate on Tuesday. I had my old windows torn out and replaced with glass block on Friday. They did the work in TWO hours. I could not have been happier. IT went well from start to finish. The team came and measured all the windows and tried to match the pattern as close to our existing windows as possible. When the windows were completed and available for install the owner called and scheduled a time for him and his team to come out and install the windows. They were efficient, the windows look great and the team was neat and tidy while coming in and out of the house.

Work was quickly and carefully done. I am very pleased. I will call them again for service, because I trust them to do a good job.

Andy was great! When we had lots of rain, I would get water coming in the basement bathroom from a basement window that leaked. I opted to get a glass block window. Upon learning of the price, I decided to go ahead and to get the 3 remaining windows with glass blocks. In the bathroom room and laundry room I went with the vents. The windows look great! Andy was very friendly and did a fantastic job! He even suggested I add white stone to my window wells so the light can reflect off the stones and brighten my basement even more. He also made sure I understood about the windows and answered any questions I had posed to him. He did such a wonderful job, that I immediately referred him to my father.

I purchased a Big Deal from Angie's List. and then contacted Andy. He was very responsive and got me an estimate very quickly. He was able to do the install the following week. Andy and his employee were a little late arriving due to traffic congestion, but I was fine with it, because he called to let me know he was stuck in traffic and would arrive 20 minutes late. After they arrived, he introduced himself and his employee and they got right to work. He gave me a brief explanation of what each of them would be doing during the installation. He asked what entrance I would prefer they use, since they would be working inside and out and there might be some dirt tracked in. One worked outside, while the other worked inside. They removed the original windows, which required a lot of hammering and created quite a mess. Our house is a 1920's bungalow and there was lots of mortar applied around the original window openings. As they pounded out the old wood window frames, the mortar cracked and flew everywhere. It was quite messy. Andy and his employee worked very h****** a very warm humid day to get the job done in three hours. Just as they were finishing, the skies opened-up and it poured. Andy was working outside and he got soaked. They cleaned up outside around the windows as best they could in the heavy rain, which was fine.However, I wish they would have done a little bit better job sweeping up the mortar chips in the basement. When I inspected the basement later that day, I realized just how much of a mess there was to clean-up. A large shop vac would have done the trick. I am happy with the windows. Other than the interior clean-up, I think they did a great job.

The company followed up and was able to get our work done very quickly. the glass blocks themselves looks great and functioning well. It more the professionalism of the company that I have problems with. When we origianlly called we were interested in doing only two of our windows in the basement. At that point the gentelman said he would probably do the work himself and not bring someone and give us a discount for only doing the two windows and have my husband help "a bit". I guess there is a cost break if you do more which for me seem absolutly ridiculous because materials are materials. We ended up deciding to do three windows instead of the two and were charnged the full amount that he originally quoted which included having him bring a helper which did not happen. My husband ended up helping out we didn't get a discount on anything and to top it all off my husband had to clean up after the guy. I wouldn't use this guy again he didn't stand behind what he promised us and didn't clean up the mess he made after the work he did.

I called Andy to request a quote for replacement of my 6 basement windows with glass block windows. He came out two days later and left the quote in my front door as promised. He quoted both with and without screen vents in the windows. I called him the next day to book the service and notified him I would be buying the Angie's List coupon currently on offer ($300 of services for $150). We agreed on an install date about one week later. He and his employee showed up about 15 minutes early, did the install in the time he said it would take, and cleaned up completely afterwards. They were very comfortable dealing with my dog and were happy to watch out for my cats to be sure they didn't get out of either the doors or windows as they worked (since I wasn't going to be home while they worked). Andy is very friendly, personable and professional. I am very pleased with the windows and his service.

Received a quote within 2 days of calling. The quote was competitive and installation was very good. Workers, were professional and cleaned up after project. Looks great!

They were on time for the estimate, and 15 minutes early when they replaced my windows. He actually apologized for being early. They didn't mind when my dog would occasionally insist that they rub her belly. Absolutely the nicest/friendliest guys that I have ever worked with. Love, love, love my windows. My basement is so much brighter. I now notice other peoples windows, and mine are by far the safest/securest looking and the prettiest. You will be happy if you have them put in glass block windows in your home.

The price I paid was a great deal through Angie's List Big Deal. I had 2 basement windows that I needed done was able to call and get a quote that was on the money. My husband was there for the work, he said the guys were very friendly came in like a well-oiled machine and got the job done in just over an hour. They were very clean and efficient. I also referred them to two of my friends who they did work for and it was more of the same. They were clean, efficient, kept to their scheduled appointment and were fairly priced without the coupon. My only regret is that when they came to our house they left some of there equipment outside and unfortunately with it being in my neighbor's yard - it was not there when they returned. They were still very gracious and over all very good to work with.

Andy was responsive and pleasant in our dealings. He and his associate came out to do the work on a Monday and could only do 3 windows because he found out the other two were slightly smaller, but came back on that Wednesday to finish the job (he prefabricates the windows in his shop). Each visit lasted about an hour. We had been thinking about doing this job for some time and it was only with his Angieslist Big Deal offer that pushed us to get it done, wouldn't have done it at this time otherwise.
