Sent request for proposal and they never replied.

I called Chad when we were ready to had the deck replaced. He told me he had jobs lined up for two months. At which time I told him we did have a quote from another contractor. He said he understood and since it was already October, we should go ahead with someone else. I informed him he did a good job on our shed and we were sorry to not be able to wait. The deck was getting unsafe. Yes, I would hire Chad Spaeth again, if he were available.

Hired Chad Spaeth to build a 12 x 12 shed on a concrete slab in the back yard. Chad gave us the name of someone who could pour the slab and we had that done by someone else. He ordered the shed from Menard's and told us who his contact was at Menard's and suggested we look at it and make sure it was what we wanted. We did that and decided to add a window in the back and go with the octagon window option in the top front section. We also wanted a roll up door. Chad showed up within a week of the supplies being delivered. He worked alone since his newly hired helper did not call him or show up. Due to rain, it took Chad about one week to complete the work. He showed up on a daily basis or contacted us when circumstances, such as rain, stopped him from working. He build the shed and used framing lumber, shingles, siding, soffit, and facia. Installed windows and overhead roll up door. He cleaned up and hauled away all scrap material. Chad matched the shingles and siding to what is on our house. It looks absolutely great. At our ages, I am sorry we did not ask him to put in a small floor in the top portion. We may call him to get it done. He is fast, efficient, and good at what he does. We are currently talking to him about replacing our deck.
