The contractor started close to the projected date. He spent much time listening, explaining, planning and prepping. Drainage issues addressed adequately (although we've not had much rain since the project was completed). Concrete poured is structurally sound and good. Color aspect is bad. I asked for, and the contract states the color should be sandstone. It is charcoal colored. Since completion I've gotten various explanations that include, "It'll lighten up in time." "I'll see if I can do anything." Sometimes he contradicts earlier assurances about how well the sealer applied will protect the finish. Before the project was poured, I was told the sealer would ensure that the finish would last many years, now I hear that "a few good rainstorms will lighten it up." Last time I spoke with the contractor he said he would apply chemicals to break the sealer and try to lighten the color. I'm still waiting.
Description of Work: Removed sod and top soil, addressed drainage issues by rerouting downspouts away from house; Tore up and removed old concrete, poured new steps for front and back entrances. New concrete was to be stamped and colored
