Rediculous - We contactcted Debra in mid-July about reupholstering an antique chair. We e-mailed her a picture of the chair to determine if she was interested in the job. After a few more attempts we finally connected and she asked me to bring the chair in for an estimate which I did. She was a nice lady, seemed cooperative and interested in doing the job. We liked her work based on some in-process projects she had going. We had already selected the fabric and trim so she was familiar with difficulty of the match. She measured and gave us a written proposal for $400 if we provided the material. She said she would not be able to do the job until the end of August but she would contact us when she was ready to do the job,, to which we agreed. We bought the material and waited but never heard back from her. I called and e-mail her a few times mid-September. We eventually got a bizarre e-mail back from her near the end of September stating that our and quot;ottoman was complete and ready to pick upand quot; and she told us that the cost to upholster our chair, based on the picture I sent her would be $625. She had no recollection (or so it appeared) that we actually brought it in and got a quote. We did not have an ottoman and suddenly the cost to do the chair increased by $225. I sent her an e-mail back telling her that the ottoman was not ours and reminded her that she quoted us $400 and gave her the quote #. In October we got an e-mail back from her saying that she was suddenly way behind schedule and could not do our chair until after the first of the year. I responded and told her we would be willing to wait but never heard back from her again. You can draw your own conclusion on that one. Since she seemed to be a nice lady, I would like to think she is just incredibly disorganized. I'd like to think that, but I cannot. Save yourself all kinds of aggrevation and problems and look for another reputable upholsterer who actually honors his quote, doesn't confuse your merchandise with others, and won't string you along for months just to try to get more oney out of you in the end,,,, that is exactly what we did and are very happy with the result. Just Chairs Upholstery is just not worth it!

Seamless- It went exactly as expected from start to finish:)

I bought the material that she had requested and measured for. She said it would take 5 weeks to complete the job. At 6 weeks, I hadn't heard anything back, so I emailed her. It took two weeks more to hear back from here and she said she was 8 weeks out on other jobs as well. It had progressed to 14 weeks and she decided to give me a discount due to it not being completed in a timely manner. She insisted on returning my furniture with 2 pieces poorly completed, and the 3rd chair never had even been started.. When I told her that I was not pleased with what she had done, she responded with what I had paid her, it was "rummage sale quality." The seating is not fixed to an acceptable level. We did not communicate well and she failed to contact me about possible questions she may have had and I only got one picture about the work when I requested it to ensure it was being done properly. It was a very frustrating experience overall and has left me looking for another upholsterer to properly finish the work.

Debra is very professional and easy to talk to. Has the customer's best interest in mind at all times. Suggests economical alternatives. No delays. Altogether a pleasant experience.
