They were competitive price-wise and excellent to work with. Everything went well. The roof looks very nice and they cleaned up after themselves. We would use them again and would recommend them to others looking to replace their roof. Pete was nice to work with as well.

The guys were here early, started the job and worked their butts off. They answered our questions along the way and were done the same day with the roof. Clean up was excellent. Came back the next day for the gutters.

Arrived on time, did a complete tear off, replaced three damaged roof boards and installed new roof. Did a good job of cleaning up and were on their way in about five hours.

We've used them before, and requested the do the work, to which the owner agreed. Weather was frequently an issue, but they managed to do the tear-off and get the new roof on before the scheduled signing. The new roof looks great and helped prevent some slow leaks that were detected from developing into big leaks. All parties were happy with the work.

I had three separate companies visit and make written estimates for this roofing job. Inter-State had been recommended by a friend, who was also my insurance agent. I picked them because they understood that I wanted a basic black roof on an old house in and old neighborhood, and that this was not a showroof in a million dollar resort. But since I planned to live in this house for at least a decade, I did not need a shoddy job by a fly-by-night roofer firm that would not be in business 4-10 years from now when the inevitable minor repair work came along. They were the lowest bid, so I had no problem choosing them. Inter-State had a crew of 4-6 men on site for most of four days. They made a mess in the attic; then cleaned it efficiently. They had old asphalt shingles flying everywhere; then cleaned them up efficiently. They worked very hard in the unremitting cold for four days and "voila" I had a new roof and new gutters, with rearranged downspouts and a clean front and back yard (not to mention my driveway and that of a neighbor). Several neighbors dropped by to congratulate me on the speed, efficiency and "good looks" of the project. I thought my new black basic shingle roof looked very mundane, but I concurred that I had a very good result for the price paid. My insurance friend had used Inter-State on his own home in an upscale part of Wauwatosa, but he was correct that they knew how to do an excellent, basic roofing job with a minimum of muss and fuss. I am very pleased, and I highly recommend them also.

We just moved into the home a year ago and i noticed a shingle hanging. so i called to have someone fix the problems and get an overview of the situation. a couple of days later i watched the guy drive up look at the house from his car and drive off. i never heard from them again.

Overall, the experience was good. They got the job done quickly (we had neighbors commenting on how quickly they got it done!) It was a good quality job and we were pleased with how honest we felt they were. We had a few problems and he gave us advice and it didn't feel like he was adding unnecessaryitems on.

They were very reliable and offered good service.

It was at that time the lowest bid I had from a reputable roofing company. Their price was competitive. I didn't have any issues with them. They got in touch with me promptly. They gave me a written estimate and that was all I needed at that time. They guy that came to give me a quote was punctual. I was home when he had come to look at it and he came and looked at it at the time he said he would.

Got my estimate from Pete on 03-24-10 and hired him on 04-02-10. His crew showed up promptly on 05-05-10 and 05-06-10. The results were fantastic. I would especially like to thank John House for his "magic" with the gutters and trim.

They were very responsive during the bidding process and provided us with samples to choose our shingle type and color. They were able to work around our schedule and once the work was started, it was done in a timely manner and is a great improvement. The only negative aspect was that some of our landscaping was damaged and we had to go over to our neighbors yard to clean up some shingles and nails that they missed.

We had difficulty in the beginning getting a time scheduled with the company. Through a misunderstanding, the company ended up on our doorstep at about 6:30 am, wondering if they could start work that day. This part of it was a little frustrating. However, once they got to work, they replaced both our house and garage rooves in a timely manner (4 days for both), and the work was quite satisfactory. Once the spring came, and the shingles smoothed down a bit, we did notice some nails that had popped up. Pete told us he would send someone to fix these, but this never happened, so we pounded in the ones we had found on our own. Luckily, most of them were easily reached, and there were few, only about five for both rooves. All in all, we were disappointed in the communication and follow-through on fixing the nail pops, but are ultimately very happy with our new rooves.
