Hoppe Tree Service

I called for an estimate, and someone came to my residence the following week. I was given an estimate, and I accepted it, signed it, and sent it in. I was told they were a few weeks behind, and would call me when they knew when it could be scheduled. They did call me on a Thursday, and scheduled the work to be done the following Tuesday. I took vacation that day and waited for them all day. No one showed up to do the work. I was never called to explain why, or to reschedule. I have still never heard from them. We had a tree in our backyard that had uprooted and was leaning on fence between our yard and the neighbors- not a sudden fall but just slowly happened over a few years until finally tree was basically only still standing because of fence. Had Hoppe come out and give estimate for tree removal. Estimate and final price were identical, no hidden or surprise costs- which was great. During the estimate the man (I am sorry, I forgot his name!) was VERY knowledgable and took the time to explain exactly what needed to be done, and why. The thing I appreciated the most was that he never tried to sell me services I didnt need. They removed the tree a few weeks later. The work was excellent and they had the tree removed under 2 hours. They were very clean - my yard and my neighbors yard (had to go to other side of fence to get part of tree down) were left totally clean. The workers were very professional. I would 100% recommend Hoppe and will definitely be using them again.

Made a little girls (well, an adult female) dream come true by cutting back her obnoxious neighbors tree so her garden can grow with the new sunlight it now has. They were the cheapest and to be honest one of the only ones to get back to me quickly. Shockingly a lot of services I contacted didn't get back to me. I met with them in early June and was told 5 weeks so I had expected mid to end of July but I guess we mis-communicated because I wasn't scheduled until end of Aug. But that's fine. I am glad I waited because my backyard looks gorgeous. They cleaned up and even took my pile of rubbish that I was collecting that was falling off my neighbors tree into my yard AND they managed not to damage the little garden I was growing. Perfect.

I received four different quotes and Hoppe Tree Service was priced in the middle range. I decided to go with Hoppe Tree because of their excellent ratings from other members and because they were able to juggle their schedule to get this job done in a timely manner. They showed up to do the job as promised and did a great job. I will be contacting them in the future to trim a few other big trees in my front yard. I would highly recommend them to my family and friends.

It went very well. They removed a 3 inch branch that was hanging over our roof. They removed a 10 inch that was hanging over our neighbor's roof. They removed 3 low-hanging 1 inch branches that were over the garage roof, plus several other low-hanging branches. They removed all dead wood 1/2 inch or larger. They cleaned up when finished. This tree happens to be an Ash Tree. When the company estimator first came out, he explained the situation with the Emerald Ash Borer insect problem. I was not aware of the problem and I am very grateful for his words of advice. The advice was to have the tree treated to kill-off the Emerald Ash borers before they kill our tree. As of now, our tree is in good health. And yes, we already hired Hoppe to perform the Emerald Ash Borer treatment later in the summer. ($385) The treatment protects for two years.

We weren't even home and they came and did it and did a really nice job. They are very knowledgeable and they answer questions in a way that you understand them.

I had contacted Hoppe in spring of 2011 for quotes to remove two trees from our condo association's property. They came out promptly and provided a very reasonable quote given the size of both trees. The association's final decision to remove the trees was deferred at that time. In August of that year one of the trees was clearly leaning toward the building with the angle of the lean increasing. I again contacted Hoppe to ask if the quote was still good (it was) and to set up a time for them to come out. They were very busy and advised me that they would be out in about four weeks. Within four weeks they called to set up a time just as promised. The tree removal went amazingly fast (it was a two story tall evergreen.) They quickly cut the tree down, cut up the pieces and loaded them in the truck and put the branches through a chipper. The afternoon of that same day, another worker arrived to grind out the stump. After the work was completed, you would not have known that such a large tree had been there. We now wish we would have just had them do the second tree at that same time but will be contacting Hoppe to get that done. In short, reasonably priced, fast work. excellent cleanup. All work was completed in the estimated time (less than a day). They coordinated having power lines dropped by the electric company.

It was a good job. It was quick and cheap.

The crew of 3 was excellent. The tree had to be removed by them climbing the tree, cutting branches and lowering them by hand. Our back yard is not reachable by any machines other than for removal of the tree stump.

Arborist came out promptly. Determined tree was dying and could not be saved. I wanted the Apple trees sprayed and he gave me an estimate and the work was completed within a few days. We checked into other concerns around the yard. He explained Hoppe tree services policies and company goals. I was impressed with him and with the company.

They were prompt, curteous, friendly and professional. The clean up was exceptional. The price was good (including a discount for mentioning Angie's List). They always called back promptly when I had questions.

Hoppe Tree Service always does a great job. We have used them for the past ten years or so and they are always prompt, professional, do a great job and clean up. They are also very knowledgeable and give great advise.

The skill they showed in removing the major branch hanging over the house was outstanding. Not a ding or scratch on anything. Did an excellent job of cleaning up. Even cleaned up stuff that was on the ground before they arrived. The only reason I checked n/a on the price is because they were the only company I called, based on prior reviews.

Very professional, courteous gentleman came to see what I wanted done; answered questions, very nice. Pruning of large trees and fruit trees occurred in late fall. Too late to prune bushes. Once bushes were pruned in early spring, I wasn't satisfied with the results. Communicated with Mr. Hoppe through email. He came to review what was done and to answer more questions. A few weeks later he called to let me know he'd be coming to complete the work. Looks good, more like I'd expected after out first discussion.

Their job is not done yet since they are supposed to apply treatment to the pine trees; they haven't done that yet. I was not home when they came to do the service but I can see that the pine tree has been trimmed. They did a good job.

We were very pleased with their service! They arrived on time for all appointments. Crew was very professional and they worked exceptionally well as a team. One of our neighbors was watching and commented on what a great job they did. They were respectful of our property, and did a great job of cleaning up all debris. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone in need of tree removal!

See above....I wasn't there. And I had wanted to be there. Having never had a tree trimming service before I didn't know what to expect so I just dropped it. This year however I called someone different who came to the house for an appointment and we met to discuss what I wanted done. I like this approach MUCH better.

WeEnergies came out and checked the trees and said Asplunde would be out in the next two weeks to trim the trees out of the power lines. They called and said it would be another week. Then they called and said they would be out on Thursday or Friday. Hoppe's called on Friday and we told them WeEnergies had not been there yet. They said they would come anyway and hopefully, WeEnergies would be here and be done. I called Asplunde and they said they would be here shortly. Hoppe's showed up and decided to start the work. Asplunde showed up about a half-hour later. They left without doing any work. Hoppe's trimmed the Oak tree only (our decision), and cleaned up everything. There was a lot of dead branches in the tree and they did a beautiful job of cutting the dead limbs out and then cleaning up the tree where there were too many branches touching and too many sapling twigs. The man operating the bucket was very careful of the other trees nearby. They did clean up the yard and the road of a debris. They had a man handling traffic on the road which was good because people drive very fast on this residential road. Very polite crew.
