Duct Medic

Laszio is very punctual! He came out to the house, on time to give an estimate. We didn't go with Laszio only because of the size of the house and the length of time it would have taken him. Otherwise the estimate was very fair. He spent a lot of time going through the house explaining his process and answering questions. I wouldn't hesitate to use his services; he seemed very knowledgable and trustworthy and I do believe he would have done a great job.

We called and quot;Duct Medicsand quot; and told Lazlo that we live in a tri-level home, and how many air ducts and cool air returns that we have. He gave us an estimate, which we felt was a very fair price, no hidden cost and so decided to hire him. We made an appointment for Tuesday, November 20, 2012. He said that he would be here at 8am (he was very prompt), he showed us the filters that the dust would be traveling to, then he brought in all his equipment, and went straight to work! Wrapped the vents with clinging plastic.and vacumning all around the vent. He had to cut a hole somewhere in the basement. My husband was watching him do this. He set up to record a dvd of the work he was doing and we got to see firsthand on a monitor the stuff being blown out of the ducts. He worked straight through. When it was finished, he cleaned up after himself, and checked thingsout such as the heat register when the furnace was running, and it seemed to blow out more warm air from the furnace, he then showed us the box with the filter, and it was just loaded with dust! After that, we sat down at the kitchen table, made a check out to his company. He gave us the receipt, the DVD, and a pack of microwave popcorn! (LOL), enjoy the movie, but don't expect sound! Lazlo was extremely professional, courteous and meticulous in his work. He discovered we had two cold air returns that weren't even connected to the HVAC system, one being the only return for the entire 2nd floor. He was very informative and helpful, showing us the crazy amount of dirt that was in our ducts. See picture for details. He also cleaned the dryer vent tube and to our surprise there was still a lot of lint even though my husband had vacuumed it out about 3 months before. He even gave us microwave popcorn and a 20min. DVD of what the inside of our vents looked like during a cleaning. Pretty cool :)

Duct Medic was an already prearranged deal by a company we had just used for our mold remediation huge extensive project/job contract. This was a huge convenience to have had this coordinated for having a thorough duct cleaning stemming from our forced air furnace. It also is a necessity if you're ridding of mold from your home, I'm sure. Anyway, I haven't had our home's ducting cleaned since owning this home in 1995 (16 yrs later). All I can say it "Oh boy... The crap that was cleaned out of these ducts makes this company's process extremely worthwhile!" Unless its my imagination, I could swear that the forced air coming out of our vents is a lot quieter too from a lesser resistance of airflow from these ducts being very clean. Laszlo was here for 7 hrs., cleaning these ducts methodically with his higher tech cleaning apparatus in nifty looking black trunk like looking cases and a mini video camera with a small color TV monitor. He was very courteous, very respectful, and he loves to chat loudly and he's a hard worker. I think that the somewhat onerous noise generated from his high tech process, one has to talk louder to be heard! That's fine. Hint: wear some good ear plugs if it's a concern while he's cleaning them, or some type of headsets from an iPod, MP3 music player or so. He's coming back today to clean our dryer vent which isn't too badly built up with lint. It is a pretty long dryer vented run though. Overall, I'd have no hesitation in having him back here. He said he'd come back for free in about two years to check on the ducting to see how they're doing in the cleanliness department. Nice service. Go with him. I think that Duct Medic is somewhat less $ than some competitors here. As always, get a free price quote from at least a few companies. You'll be very happy with his services though. What a work ethic!

Outstanding service at a fair price! We knew the air ducts were dirty, the ducts were never cleaned and the house was built in 1995. The dryer was taking longer then normal to dry clothes and was a fire risk. I could never have ever imagined the amount of dust and debris that they removed from my duct work and dryer vent. We knew the duct work was dirty and kind of figured that the dryer vent was starting to plug up. As the dryer took longer than normal to dry clothes. I could never have ever imagined the amount of dust and debris that they removed from my duct work. The dryer, I'm surprised it even work after seeing how much lint was impacted in the vent tube. They did a great job and I couldn't be happier.
