Overall, we are very pleased with the work. The work took slightly more than one week. Our yard looks 100% better. The only drawback is that we were hoping everything would be finished before the weather got cold and that didn't work out. Therefore, we haven't tried out the patio. Additionally, in spring we'll need to build a fence to separate the yard from the alley. This company doesn't build fences.

Excellent service. Prompt, pleasant and easy to work with. Described things in terms I could understand, as a not so experienced with lawn customer. Work was done quickly, even my neighbors were impressed.

We love our new patio. Robb & his crew came exactly when they said they would, worked hard despite very hot weather, and finished on time. Robb was friendly, flexible and accommodating. The patio looks great. We wouldn't hesitate to call Robb for another job.

We needed a new patio installed and decided to try one of the deals on Angie's list. After prepaying that amount of money I felt a bit apprehensive but not to worry. Robb the owner came over and put my mind at ease as to the installation process. He installed a beautiful patio that looks to last many years.They cleaned up and trimmed out around the patio with dirt. We will use Robb next year when we plan on another addition to the patio. Thanks for a job well done.

Our experience with the owner was extremely positive! He definitely knows his work. He is professional, responsive, courteous, and a delight to work with. The owner provided a fair estimate and demonstrated great knowledge in how to "best" handle our extreme hill. Unfortunately, we were unable to move forward with the work proposal due to property line issues and city concerns. The owner did his best to help us overcome the barriers, however, it turns out we were unable to move forward with the plan. I discussed our inability to move forward with the proposed plan and the owner agreed it was best to resolve the issues first. We will definitely use this business again in the future. Work was done in a timely manner with proper cleanup after the job. Very friendly and was willing to answer any questions about the work. Price estimate was the lowest of 4 bids. Very satisfied with the work.

They were punctual, courteous and professional. The owner stopped by to assess the job and advise me on the best way to go about it. A short time afterwards, they arrived to do the work. They did a fantastic job and I was very pleased. I no longer have problems with my sub pump running constantly due to water running back towards the house. It rained hard the next day and I had no problems at all. I would highly recommend this company to anyone and I will surely use them again in the future.

Robb at Spahn Manning was extremely helpful, informative and performed excellent work! He was timely (took three weeks from his initial estimate) and did not exceed the cost. Spahn-Manning replaced an existing L-shaped cinderblock retaining wall (approximately 23 linear feet, and 3 feet high) with a new retaining wall of the same size, utilizing Unilock products. I could not be happier with the responsiveness and professionalism of the team, and the finished product. Rob came in person to provide an estimate within a few days of my initial inquiry. I was so pleased with the initial discussion, that I signed the contract the same day. The work was scheduled to start the following week. Rob and his team at Spahn-Manning arrived on time, completed the job quickly and for the discussed price. The job took approximately two days, and they even worked during a random early November snow shower! The finished retaining wall looks fantastic, and the crew did a great job afterwards cleaning up the work site. Not only would I recommend this company to others, but I'm already thinking about other jobs I might hire them to do for me next summer.

Rob did a very professional job. He communicates well, has a good work ethic and is flexible. He listens to his customers. I would recommend him if you have a paver project large or small.

Highlights: Very responsive in phone communication. Robb accommodated my tight schedule, fitting my project in when I was home. This can't be done all the time, obviously, but he was able to in this instance and I was grateful. Arrived right on time on workday. Got the whole patio done in ONE DAY! Good job! Robb works with his crew, making me feel that he was making sure everything we discussed in the estimate was being done.He asked me 2-3 times during the patio process if I wanted to make some approvals of how it was going, and I appreciated this. He accommodated my desire to run my patio to the center of my window well when others might have tried to talk me out of it. He respected how I wanted the design. He dropped off sample pavers on a timely basis.He was friendly and calm. He was very-detail oriented when it came to laying the pavers in a predetermined pattern, even going so far as to accommodate my request to have the pavers placed on a 45-degree angle from the house for aesthetic effect. I hardly knew they were there; good cleanup. Friendly crew workers, very detail-oriented. Price was very competitive and I felt I got a nice patio for the money. If I could have changed anything, it would be a small issue that a few cracks between the pavers still look like they could use some more polymeric sand, but this could be in part due to the cracks being super thin upon application and sand not easily falling in between as in other cracks. I will probably call him to ask him to take a look the next time he's in the area, but it's not anything I'm majorly worrying about. Bottom Line: I would hire them again and am enjoying my new little patio!

The company, Mr. Manning, was very cooperative and responsive. The repair was done well and to our expectations.

We got three estimates--two from Angie's List and one from a friend. Spahn-Manning was the most reasonable and felt they could do it in the least disruptive manner for our neighbors. Rob was awesome--he came out when he said he would be there for the estimate and followed-up with us. The weather delayed the start of the project but we were in no rush so it wasn't a problem. Rob and his employees did an awesome job in clean up and reseeded the area including the section of our neighbor's lawn that got disturbed in the process. We love the new wall and are confident it will be there for years to come!

The quote was for $2100. He went to my backyard and looked at it. He had actually brought a catalog with him so he could have an idea of what selections we could make. He took the measurements right away the same day that he came over and he gave me a quote right away the same day.

The men were professonal and did a good job of delivering and installing the mulch around my deck.
