I called James when i discovered about a foot of water in the low part of my basement. The electricity was out for about 36 hours. James and his assistant came quickly, purchased a back up generator used to begin to eliminate the water, moved storage items to dry area, and followed up to install the back up sub pump battery. I always appreciate James' texts to advise me of arrival time or to modify it when needed, so I always know when he's to arrive. He is truly a "James of all trades"

I needed a vintage, heavy mirror hung on the wall securely. They were punctual, friendly and they did a great job.

Based on the reviews I read on Angie's List, I really wanted to like MyHandyPro. In fact I wanted to start with a few small items and then add more items as I built a relationship with the company. But despite three attempts....no one ever got in touch with me. Their website said you could text them. I did. Never got a response. I used their online form the next day (which noted they would "respond shortly"). Never got a response. I called them the next day. Never got a response. Why don't small businessmen have the courtesy to call potential customers back? I would have at least appreciated a call saying they are too busy or not interested. But no response is not cool.

I would like everyone out there to know that James Kinnard from myHandypro does exceptional work of all kinds. He has been my handy man for over 8years. I use him a lot because I own rental property and when ever a tenant has a problem he is always available. I also use his services and I have never been more satisfied. His workmanship and his politeness is awesome.

James was great. He got the job done quickly and efficiently. And he's a very personable guy. I highly recommend him.

James was super responsive - he returned my call very quickly, and followed up via text and e-mail to plan the work and provide a quote. He was on time to the do work, very pleasant and did a great job. Would definitely hire again.

James is responsible, and on time. He showed up at the agreed upon time, and helped me with various issues I had, such as using an electric planer to shave down my doors so they would fit. He also installed a closet rod, and did other miscellaneous things for me, like install door handles, and curtain rod brackets. But, the best thing was that he created a beautiful custom fireplace mantel by hand! James is a creative guy, and has an eye for what looks good. The fireplace mantel looks wonderful and fits my place so well!! He was on time the times I had him at my place, which is really important to me. He also answered my text messages whenever I had a question. He is nice to talk to, and will give advice if you ask him for it. It was a pleasure working with James.

James did all the work for us. He was punctual and worked fast. He had a great sense of humor, a nice demeanor and explained everything he was doing. We will definitely call him again if we have minor things around the house that need fixing. He used some really neat devices to get the jobs done, including glasses with lights on them, and top-notch tools. The best part was how friendly he was to our dog who kept getting in the way and wanted to play with him.

After attempting the seat replacement myself, I discovered this to be a VERY complicated process given the poor design of the toilet. After finding myHandypro on Angie's List, I contacted James, and sent him the link to Kohler's video that demonstrated how to do the replacement. After reviewing it, he said he could do the work. We set a date and time, and James arrived as promised. He got to work on the seat, and discovered it was the worst-case scenario suggested in the video, requiring him to drill out the existing bolts and anchors, since they could not be removed in a normal manner. It took him almost two hours - but he got it done successfully. However, he couldn't repair the existing flushing mechanism, and told me a new one was needed. He said he would order it and pick it up for us, and come back to install it - and that we could wait to pay him when he'd finished the job. I thought that was very courteous and professional. About a week later, the mechanism arrived, and we set a date for him to replace the old one. Again, because of the poor design of the whole toilet, it took quite a bit of adjusting to stop the new flapper from leaking...and actually required a third visit to get things adjusted further. He did not charge for the callback. The good news is that everything is now fixed and working well. And, while I would never again buy a Kohler toilet like this one, I would be happy to hire James again if we need more handyman work!

It went okay. The first job we hired him for went better than the second. He didn't install the bathroom vents very well. The upstairs one leaked as soon it rained and the downstairs one is very loud much louder than the upstairs (same brand). It's disappointing especially given how much he charged.

We used my Handypro for some few odd jobs, like repair of step, replace a window and James also dealt with my inability to understand a circuit breaker with compassion. I am 100% satisfied with Handypro; James came on time and were efficient. He got the work done at more than a reasonable price. He was good at what he did, did it well and did it quickly. thank you, I will call again!

excellent job, on time and professionally completed

I called for an estimate, but it seems like they weren’t in the mood of coming down to provide an accurate estimate, so they gave me an estimate a few days later based on pictures I texted of the items I needed repaired. The estimate was very vague and pretty expensive, but I called to go ahead with the job anyway. I was told they would get back to me to schedule a date and time to get the work done. I never received a call back. I tried contacting them two more times to schedule, but no response and no return calls. Very unprofessional! Seems like they only do jobs they are in the mood of doing. Disappointment!

James was able to come in and assess what needed to be done, go pick up the materials and repair the closet all in about an hour. It was great!
