Business shut down

Ordered firewood from this company. When I first called, the gentlemen I spoke to was very knowledgeable and friendly. His prices were higher than most, but after doing some research I felt this was the best company to work with. I ordered my wood a few days after it rained, so I knew the wood would be a little damp, but after two full weeks I was still getting a ton of hissing and smoke from the wood. I called and was told nobody else had called and he wanted to inspect the wood. He did not want me to light a fire and actually hear it hiss, but proceeded to knock a few pieces together and tell me it was dry based on the sound. He offered better, dry wood, for another $75. Still wanting to believe the guy, I purchased only to have an even worse experience. This wood was actually so wet it was expelling moisture out of the end of two pieces! I called again the next day and he did not answer. I did not receive a call back after almost a week. Granted, this was just before thanksgiving, but still completely unacceptable. I will not order wood from this company again and am very disappointed this is the wood I have to burn this winter.

The wood was delivered on time. It was professionally cut and split. Each piece was about 16" long, and there were no end pieces / seconds. It stacked perfectly into three face cords. It was expensive, but definitely the best wood I've ever bought.

I was told that this wood was seasoned. There is no way this particular wood was seasoned by any means whatsoever. The wood just sizzled when lit. I would have rathered they told me the truth that it wasn't seasoned. I understand that there was a wood shortage this year due to the paper mills being first in line, however, this just caused them future business from me. On a positive note the wood was properly cut and nicely sized. But the negatives outweigh the positives here for me.

I ordered a full cord of oak firewood for burning this winter and was impressed with the quality of the wood. I had been ordering firewood from another company located at the airport and was tired of the quality of their wood and the high prices they charge. The majority of the wood I received from them had to be split into smaller pieces before I could burn it. The wood I received from Blue Flame is clean and split into perfect burning size logs. No more splitting wood in freezing temperatures. Jason the owner delivered the wood when he said he would and was very professional and personable. I would recommend this company to my friends and neighbors.

Excellent service and good price. Delivered firewood and left it exactly where was asked. Firewood quality is great! Cut into perfect uniform lengths and great size for outdoor and indoor fireplaces. Will definitely be using Blue Flame in the future.

They called back, explained what they had in stock, arrived on time, stacked the wood neatly and quickly and the price was the same as the quote. I would definitely recommend them.

They are competitively priced, the driver was friendly, very professional and arrived at the time agreed upon. I do like that Blue Flame Firewood is a local company in Wauwatosa and that it's a family owned business as well. I would definitely reorder and would recommended Blue Flame to friends and family.
