I have a large yard with many trees. Fall clean-up is typically awful, so this year I decided to hire someone. The crew arrived promptly when they said they would. They did a phenomenal job. They blew and collected leaves from multiple garden beds and the front and back yards. My yard has never looked so good in the fall. I would definitely recommend and will use Best Choice Landscaping in the future.

Brandon was VERY professional. Usually, I have problems with people calling back or contacting me with issues about work being done. Brandon was EXCELLENT at communication with emails AND he left messages. We had some drainage issues in our common park area in our neighborhood. I called and he was very timely in calling back. I decided to go with him because this was my second time working with him and it is refreshing to work with someone that takes pride in their work and is willing to call back and send emails about the job at hand. He met with me several times and was clear about what would be required and the price. They did run into an unexpected issue because the drains were so clogged with erosion from years of build-up in our neighborhood common area. He called and emailed me to let me know that his workers needed to allow the area to dry up from all the water that came pouring out of a culvert when they dug out the erosion and wouldn't be working on it for a couple of days while the area dried up. (Although I would not have know if his workers had shown up or not--he kept me informed about all the phases of the project.) SO REFRESHING TO HAVE COMMUNICATION! We were very happy with the work performed. Additionally, after a few rains, I went to the common area to check things out. I wasn't sure if rocks were being moved by kids in the neighborhood (common in my neighborhood) or if there were more drainage issues. Brandon got back to me right away--even though he already had been paid for his work. We met at my convenience and discussed what might be going on. The work they did was exceptional and Brandon was very interested in making sure I felt good about the job. He made sure the work was top quality. I feel confident in the work that was done and feel very good about recommending Best Choice Landscaping to anyone for landscaping needs. We will continue to use this company in the future.

I am very pleased with the work performed. Patio: The brick paver patio exceeded my expectations and seems to have been put together with great care. Many curves were included and it all fits together very well. Attention to detail was also seen in how the company did the perimeter of the patio and the perimeter around a window well area. Stone steps were included as well for the back door entry area at the recommendation of Best Choice and the steps look wonderful. Concrete pad: The pad seems to function as I would expect and 2 months after installation it still looks new with no chips or cracks. It is slopped where I can see water run in the desired direction away from the house and the crew was nice enough to add a little extra square footage beyond the quoted amount as well as to include a little portion as a walkway into a garage entry door. Flagstone steps: Again, as with the patio, the crew took care in laying out the flagstone steps and looking at different options to make them look and function just right. These were suggested by Best Choice as a alternative to a plain concrete sidewalk and I am very happy with the choice. It allows one to walk off the grass, but yet has a natural look and blends in well with the other features of the yard. Drainage: The drainage pipes are functioning well and they were done per specification in the quote. I specifically wanted no pop up valves due to freezing concerns and this was completed as requested. I did choose to go to a hardware store and added on grates where the water exits the pipe to avoid any issues of animales or debris, but this was simple to do and not specifically requested or quoted in the proposal by Best Choice. The overall yard drains seemingly as well as possible towards the middle back of the yard and then on out towards the rear of the yard as intended. In the past couple of months as I've observed heavy rainfall, the drainage works well and the area around the perimeter of the home seems dry as intended. My overall experience for this job was favorable. I felt the price was generous and had high expectations for quality as a result and feel Best Choice delivered on that expectation. Having used Best Choice for other work as well I have confidence in the companies ability to deliver a quality service.

The service turned out very well. I used them last year and this year for these same services. We pay at the start of the season for a full season of applications. They are very good.

It was OK. They just kind of did work and I didn't know about it. They came and I saw a sign that they had put some fertilizer on. I'm not exactly sure what they did. The pricing was good. I don't think they were terribly responsive.

requested quote for snow removal two times - they indicated they would be out and leave us a quote - we got no response from them

This was a huge job undertaken to correct water getting into our basement. We were nervous about the expense but Best Choice has been absolutely fantastic. They have come back out several times to check on the grass and address various concerns. We have had several torrential rainfalls since they did the work for us, and have had NO water in the basement. We used to get seepage with the slightest rainfall. We could not be happier with the work these guys did. Everyone we've dealt with has been professional and responsive, and they are expert problem-solvers. When something they'd originally planned to do didn't work out, they adjusted the plan and made it even better. We would recommend them without hesitation!

Mowed lawn twice, but we were billed for 3 days of service. When this was addressed to the company they refused to refund us for the one day of service that they charged us for, yet did not perform. Also, one day they mowed the lawn while our inground pool cover was open, blowing grass clippings all into the pool. They had our cell phone numbers and could have contacted us for the code to close the pool cover. When I called the manager to cancel service explaining the 2 resons why we no longer wanted them to provide us service, he hung up on me.

They are very punctual and professional.

There was a one- time price for the clean-up of $100 and I have an ongoing price for the lawn mowing is $35. I was happy with the clean-up.

Very prompt service following snowfall. Professional staff. Excellent work with clearing all snow and ice. Only problem is somewhat pricey at 40 dollars per property. Will likely use again.

I own some apartment buildings and have always had trouble finding quality snow removal companies at a reasonable price. Other companies can be unreliable or inflate their bills by pretending to clear snow more times than they actually did. Best Choice has been excellent. Very responsive and prompt, and clear with their billing.

Went very well from start to finish

These guys are the best for snow removal. They come out at the perfect time to make sure my driveway, the sidewalks on my corner lot, my walkways, and even my front porch are free of snow. I particularly appreciate that the make sure both my whole, large, front porch is snow free (not just a walkway to the entrance), as well as my the sidewalk corner, and the pathways from the sidewalk to the street. I also appreciate that Brandon gives the option of having them salt, for an extra charge, or letting me do it. Last year i did it myself, this year I went with them doing it, next year I will probably go back to doing it myself - but it is nice to have the option. The cost I indicated is for full snow removal and salting per snowfall and with the consideration that I live on a corner with sidewalks all around. Given those needs, I was quoted a much higher rate by other companies. I have nothing but great things to say about this company. I also appreciate getting the invoices by email - I only wish they had an online pay option - but that is a very, very small issue. UPDATE: Used Best Choice Gain for 2013-14 winter and they were again amazing. And they now have online pay option. Yay!

Everyone I have worked with at the company, from the people who answer the phone to the drivers that plow, have been top notch. Very professional and know their business. The reason for the lower score is not related to the quality of their work, which was excellent, but to the speed at which it was performed. The contract for the snow removal states that they come out and plow every time there is an inch of snow. In my mind I thought that meant that during a heavy snowfall a plow would arrive every few hours or so to keep the driveway clear, but in practice I found that snow removal is once per day, maximum. In any case, plowing happened anywhere from 8-20 hours after snow accumulation, with an average response time of about 12-14 hours. If there was heavy snow in the evening, say around 7-11 PM, they would typically arrive around 12:30-1:30 PM the next day. If it occurred later in the evening or the next morning they usually didn't arrive until the next evening. To be fair, nothing in the contract states that they have a response window, but I was still disappointed because I thought the service would help keep the driveway clear for me and my tenants for work in the morning, etc. In practice we often had to partially shovel out our cars in the morning after a big snow to get to work, which got me a little static from my tenants. I did call once and it was implied that I was near the end of the drivers route, so this may very well be a YMMV situation. I guess my advice would be to check and see how far you are from home base with the landscaping company before contracting out with them. If you are close and they can verify that you are near the beginning of their route, I would suggest going for it. If, like me, you are further away (I live in Glendale) I would suggest that you look for a company that's a little closer to you to try and get a better response time.

Went well-they were quick and efficient. My only suggestion for improvement would be to put more salt down.

I am just trying them out right now but they were on time and there are no issues whatsoever. I don't have a super-positive or negative rating on them yet but so far they have been pretty easy. They are a little expensive but the tenants appreciated their plowing and thought they did a good job.

Second year using Best Choice; great experience both times. Brandon returns calls promptly, and his crew does a thorough job and are courteous and professional. Overall a great experience and we look forward to working with them again!

These guys do a great job. They are fair and come out when I need them. They don't mow when unnecessary and are fairly priced ($67 + tax) for about a net acre of land. Only issue I ever had was they removed a soaker hose from the garden but that was at the very beginning of our business relationship. The owner is part of the crew and very attentive to what you need.
