Well, first our burgular alarm went off in the middle of the day ( we were out of town). Police responded and told us that all of the doors were unlocked to the house, and a window in the pantry was left open, and the key to the house was left on the kitchen counter. The police were able to secure the house for us. They warned us that the next time there was a false alarm, we would be charged. When we arrived to see the work done, we discovered, a door in the kitchen which leads to the basement was taken off of its hinges and left in a hall. The kitchen pantry window was open (it had been very cold during this time), the toilet in the upstairs bathroom was clogged up, and a gallon of our own Velvit oil we had purchased for another use, was half gone. In addition, there were scratches in the hardwood floor during the buffing process-if it was even finished, as there was uneven and sticky patches all over the floor. The kitchen floor repair, I have to say was done well, and we had no complaints about that. When we called to complain to the owner, he admitted he had not been by to supervise or check the work, the worker "Jeremy" was leaving for vacation the next day, " and probably didn't have the attention to detail he usually does." He then called us the next day, and denied the toilet was plugged, and denied the window being open, and using our Velvit oil." He also said the uneven patchy oil application was because the wood absorbed in unevenly and it would dry out soon. Our neighbors came over ( they have historical houses with the same type of floors) and were appalled at the job that was done. He supposedly is going to try an fix it , but after all the denial, we don't know if we want him to. The worst thing is on his website he states their philosophy is based on " biblical prinicpals of hard work, striving for our best at all times, honesty, integrity, honr, and fairness are the basis for all we do..." His voicemail even says "have a blessed day." What a Crock!
