Working with Pharo was a pleasure. They showed up promptly for our consultation and did not try to up-sell us. After the consultation we were provided with an installation date, and this was honored. When the installation crew arrived, they were courteous and explained what they were going to be doing. Upon completion, they walked us through the installation so we fully understood everything, and cleaned up any mess they made.

As it tuned out, our furnace heater was too old to repair. Pharo checked the "parts graveyard" for parts for our old furnace, but the parts they needed were all gone. So we purchased a brand new furnace from Pharo. Our new furnace is energy efficient and we get a tax credit, but that's not all... They did a fabulous job of plumbing our new exhaust, sheet metal fabrication of our home's duct work, and the installation of our new programmable thermostat. They were quick in and quick out. They protected my floors against whatever may have fallen out of our old furnace during the removal process and against whatever may have been tracked in from the great outdoors during the installation. Our 21 year old air conditioner failed over the weekend. I called Monday AM and a sales rep came over for a review that afternoon. He called later in the afternoon saying they could install a new unit Tuesday morning, and the price was right in line with what other friends had shared their cost had been. Excellent service. Don't know what could have been improved on.

The fan motor and blade were replaced in 15 minutes and the cost was exactly what he had said it would be. When he came into the house he automattically removed his shoes. We don't wear shoes in the house.

Pharo Heating And Cooling were available sooner than other places that I had called, they were professional, a part was needed and a technician drove to a site to pick it up and brought it instead of procrastinating and ordering it.He said the part that broke was not that expensive, so I thought they were honest. He was on time, he identified the problem quickly, he explained it to me and he was very professional.

It was one of the coldest days in Madison this southern transplant had ever experienced and my husband was out of town. Our heater wasn't blowing and the temp in the house was lower than the thermostat indicated and dropping. I panicked. I was worried about what would happen overnight to me and our 3 girls. I called 2 other local companies, explained my situation, and they weren't going to be able to help till the next day. This made sense since it must have been a busy work day for them, but I was still concerned. Then I called Pharo Heating and Coollng. The gentleman on the phone was quick to find a technician that would be coming within the hour! I was so relieved. Then I hung up and thought more about the thermostat, which was new to me. I finally realized that I could select another setting to change the temperature. Then the heater blower came on. I felt sheepish, but I had to call Pharaoh back and tell the technician not to come after all. I apologized and explained that I figured out something to change on my thermostat and the blower was actually working. Therefore, the technician, who was already on his way, wasn't needed after all. Again, the same gentleman on the phone was very gracious and he said, "no problem," and cancelled the technician's trip. Not only did he not blame me, he didn't charge me for the partial trip, and he also gave me advice about how to find directions to my thermostat online. What a help! I quickly found the directions for my type of thermostat and was able to understand how to program it. After the whole experience, I realized Pharaoh won our newcomer business.

Start to finish, the installation took less than 80 minutes. I chose Pharo only because they installed the furnace and A/C in my home previously. Technician was late by about 15 minutes, no big deal. What I liked is that Pharo quoted me a promotional price of $588 (incl tax), although in hindsight I should have done a bit more price shopping. Pharo's price was the second best quote I got for the Aprilaire 700A. (Called Harker, Clark, and Hillestad and their prices were $45-100 higher). Only Seasonal Survivor quoted me $50+ cheaper, and in hindsight I would have went with them just on how helpful and detailed the estimate phone call was. Service technician did a good job listening to my requests (I wanted a clean install with minimal visibility of the water supply line and electrical wiring), although he seemed rushed and restless answering some of my questions. The installation went much faster than anticipated. Technician cleaned up after himself and was in and out of my home in under 1.5 hours. I'll update this review once I have spent more time with the humidifier. Overall, I am pleased.

Cannot speak highly enough of the service we received from Pharo. Getting a quote went very well, and all questions were answered. Pharo's price was actually in the middle of the pack (we got five), so not the cheapest, but just had a hunch they'd do the best job. Plus they were only off by a couple percent, so not a major price difference anyway. Hunch was right, everything went very well. From talking through details of the quote, to removal of the old equipment, to installation of the new equipment, to "training" before they left, everything was done in a very prompt orderly manner, and the system has worked perfectly since the crew left. Not sure what else to say, other than this company is very professional, the crew did a fantastic job, and we're enjoying the comfort (and savings!) of a new heating and cooling system!

Service person took off shoes, arrived timely, described everything in detail to me. He even offered to come back and install filter in case husband couldn't or didn't have time. Will definitely call Pharo every year from now on. Trust this company.

I purchased a foreclosed home and the a/c did not blow cold. I called for service to see if I needed a new one or if the one I had could just be recharged. The tech spent a couple of hours working on the old unit. It basically came down to if he charged it, it might work and it might not. I took the gamble and of course it did not. Then we started discussing replacing the unit and given the interior dimensions of the house he told me that the current unit was actually too big and probably had been ineffecient. In selling me the smaller, but correct unit for the house he saved me several hundred dollars up front as well as who knows how much in wasted energy to run the bigger unit. We were able to reschedule the next day and they were here promptly to install. The temperature reached into the triple digits regularly for the next few weeks and new a/c worked splendidly. I would definitely recommend Pharo to anyone needing a/c work.

They were very helpful when we had trouble with out air conditioning system. They told us because of the temperature they came back the following season on their own to make sure it was running. That was really nice and I felt like that was above and beyond.

They did a good job. They are very courteous and responded properly. I would use them again in the future.

The estimate, actually a bid, was provided via e-mail the day after the estimator looked at the job. The job was re-bid after we selected a quieter model for the outdoor a/c unit. All this was done quickly and cordially and the bids were all supplied via e-mail, a great time-saver. The installers from Pharo arrived on the specified day and went immediately to work. Both were friendly and willilng to answer questions occasionally during the day. The system was complete, tested and running by mid-afternoon. Left-over parts and packing were removed completely and the old furnace, a/c unit and other replaced components were taken away as well. Generally we were very pleased with the job and the performance of the company. After installation, I discovered that one of the panels on the outdoor a/c unit was dented. A call to Pharo resulted in a visit by a technician the next day and the promise of a replacement part. We also got a follow-up call from Pharo reiterating the promise of a new part. No quibbles, no arguements. I downgraded the quality of the work a little in that vinyl electrical tape was used in a couple of places to bundle a control cable and refrigeration tubing in a couple of places and the foam insulation around one of the copper tubes was torn a little when the tubing was pulled through the exterior wall of the house. The tape will have to be replaced in a few years as the adhesive will degrade. The cover on the electrical master switch/fuse box on the side of the furnace was installed upside-down. These are all very minor quibbles and easily rectified. I did not ask the company to fix them. I also admit to being a bit of a perfectionist, so probably for most customers they would be non-issues. None of the above affected the operation of the furnace or a/c unit. As for the "B" grade for price, I have to admit that this is very expensive equipment and we wanted a near-top-of-the-line system. As mentioned above, Pharo was willing to ensure we took advantage of all the discounts and rebates available. We got an invoice a few days following installation and Pharo accepted my credit card over the phone in payment.

The overall experience was excellent.

Pharo fixed the problem in nothing flat. Would use them again. My parents have also used them and could have sold my folks an expensive air cleaning unit. Dad was ready to purchase. They sold him a cheaper one that works just as well. They didn't go for the easy money, but the right thing.

They did a really fine job of putting in the new equipment. There was a little problem after the installers left. I called and they were here within two hours. They were on time. They were courteous. I built this house in 1990 and the builder used Pharo Heating and Cooling to put the furnace in at the time. I have had a very good experience with Pharo.

When they were doing the annual inspection they found a CO leak and we had them install a new furnace the next day! they arrived exactly at 8:30, when they said they would be here. They had the furnace installed in about 3 hours but there was a manufacturers problem with the humidifier controller so they brought a new one the next day, and it was installed on my lunch hour for my convenience. The guys who did the work were great, put up with my questions, and left the place cleaner than when they got here (very nice).

We called them when our furnace occasionally wasn't coming on when the temp dropped. It took two visits--the first guy billed us $110 for the visit and cleaning a part which took about 20 min total, and told us if it didn't fix the problem to call back. When it happened again, we called back and, since it was happening first thing in the mornings, they sent someone over about 20 minutes after we called in the morning. Nice. The second guy zeroed right in on the problem even though he had to wait in the basement a few minutes for it to catch it in the act, and then explained the situation-- we needed a different filter set-up. He didn't charge us, and it did fix our problem. This all happened around Thanksgiving and I know they were busy so I appreciated the early am visit.

They were excellent. They were prompt and stand behind their service. They are awesome.

We turned our furnace on for the first time this season. While the fan blew, there was no heat. Called Pharo late morning; serviceman arrived near the estimated time in the afternoon. It was a simple fix, but it proved to us that Pharo is honest about the repair needed. Also, the woman who answers their phone (don't know her name) is very customer friendly. Last winter, our furnace went out in the middle of a snowstorm late on a Friday afternoon. The technicians diagnosed a difficult problem and sought out the needed part on a Saturday from a distributor that wasn't even open. A big bonus was that they only charged us regular time because we originally called during a normal business day.

I returned from vacation to find that my AC had stopped working. After reviewing several AC/Heating companies, I chose Pharo as they had a very reasonable service call rate. Due to an appointment, I had a short window of opportunity to set up a service call and the receptionist at Pharo was very helpful and was able to get John out within 30 minutes of my call. He immediately diagnosed the problem and since he did not have the part needed on his truck, he went to pick it up. He told me he could take of the repair without me being there so I was able to keep my appointment and return home to a cool house. I was very pleased with how quickly and easily all of this was handled and would definitely recommend Pharo as well as use them for any future repairs.

It would have been nice to know the repairman's name. Recommend he includes an introduction in the future. He quickly determined that the problem was in the wiring of our furnace. He replaced the transformer and this still did not correct the problem. He diagnosed some more before deciding it had to be the transformer. He replaced the new transformer with another new transformer and the problem was solved. He admited to being a little surprised at the fact that a new transformer in his truck was bad. While he was here he checked the freon levels in the AC for free. The levels were fine. The transformer itself was $85 and the service call with the deduction of $15 with an Angie's list coupon was $74. Only recommendation is that I would have liked to heard a little more from the repairman. I felt like, though I was there, I was being ignored.

They arrived on time and answered all our questions. One time the owner got on the phone with me and answered all my questions and even talked about what equipment he had in his own house. Overall we have had good experiences with Pharo.

They replaced the existing air-conditioner and furnace and an air to air heat pump. I thought it was a very good company. Price was very competitive. The installation was very good. The crew that installed did an excellent job. I did not like the way the condensation pump unit was draining into the sump. So the crew went off in his truck and got a condensation pump and hooked it up and ran it into the laundry sink so that it could drain into the septic system. I would use them in the future.
