Punctual, Polite and Professional. Told me what there were going to do, time frame and went to work. Basement where the furnace is, looked better than how they got it when they arrived. Account rep was very patient with me. When I asked if the service call that diagnosed the problem charge could be credited to my bill, they happily agreed. Just good people Richard G

It went fine. Their professionalism, service and clean up was fine. We have an appointment coming up sometime for this cleaning. There was a trip charge, check up charge and for supply because we have a humidifier, filter and a furnace filter and we also have UV light.

Installation was fine, but amazed to find out that we had to clean up from the installation. Sheet metal screws, wire clippings, etc just left on the floor when completed. When an installer leaves a mess like this, you wonder how the quality of the installation was as well, guess we will find out.

I used the credit towards a routine cleaning and checking. Just one technician came out and it was for a couple of hours.

They were able to get someone here the same day, check everything out, discover the problem, and it was very satisfactory.

I purchased this as furtherance did not turn on.The deal said the company would contact us within 48 hours. It took longer than that to get the certificate from Angie's list. Then the company said they had never gotten notified by Angie's list and that this is a common problem. As the furnace needed to be seen, we had it done by someone else. My account said none of my purchases were eligible for refund so I was annoyed but just going to suck it up until an Angie's list rep called to check on the service and when she heard what happened she transferred me to customer service to request a refund.

They checked and cleaned my furnace

Our furnace was arbitrarily shutting off every 3-4 days. Seider Heating & Plumbing were offering a deal here on Angie's List and so we bought it. We called on Tuesday December 3rd to arrange an appointment. We left a message; they never responded. Three days later our furnace went from bad to worse and we called again. Their "customer service" rep promised to have someone at our home between 12 PM & 2 PM. At 3:35 PM no one had arrived. I called back and spoke to a different customer service rep. She claimed the window was always 12 - 4 but we were "next on the tech's appointment list". She was snide, smug & dismissive. I hung up and called back, hoping to speak to someone who was a bit more polite. The next person now claimed the previous customer service rep was wrong and we were never next on the list; there was still 1-2 appointments ahead of us. When I said "Can you see how I would perceive that as dishonest?" the person accused me, as if for the sake of other people in her office, of calling her a liar. This is when the conversation disappeared into Crazy Town; "I didn't call you a liar. I'm calling the previous person a liar. And I'm surprised you'd chose to interpret it that way." "Don't you yell at me!" "I"m not yelling. My vocal tone is flat, I'm not using foul language and I'm not personally accusing you of anything. Why has this become about your pride and some need for melodrama rather than solving the problem?" "What you just said is personal!" "Well, yes, and that's because you'd rather make it about you than solve the problem." Round and round and round until she hung up on me. A service tech calls around 5:00. He says he'll arrive by 5:30. He does. He's a really nice guy...but he has no experience with oil furnaces. After 50 minutes of diagnosing the problem (a reasonable period of time) he walks me through the problem and says he has to leave to get the part. These were his exact words "The part is on my buddy's truck in White Fish Bay. I'm going to try our local office first. Either way, I'll have the part tonight." He came back 90 minutes later without the part. Now, I believe he was trying to solve the problem. And I believe he meant well...but why claim a part was DEFINITELY in stock when it clearly wasn't? I need this person's help so I bite my tongue about this company's further inability to be honest, timely or helpful. The service tech leave us with a single, loud, ratty portable heater too small to heat more than one room of our house and too noisy to sleep with it on. The ratty heater was CRAZY loud. And 90 minutes after he left the heater died! We spent the entire weekend in the cold, bundled under blankets. The average temperature in our home was about 50 degrees. Today, Monday the 9th, the service tech showed up with the replacement part and fixed the furnace in less than 30 minutes. He winks at me and says "We'll just say my total time here was less than two hours. I'm doing you a favor!" I'm still struggling to see how rounding UP the amount of time he was in my home is doing me a favor. As he left he tried to upsell me on replacing my furnace. "We like repeat customers! We'll give you a great price!" How clueless does one need to be? A relatively simple problem turned into a weekend-long debacle filled with nasty customer service reps, busted heaters and broken promises. I will never ever hire this company again.

I had to choose some available dates for the service at the outset. I don't think the company called me when they were supposed to, so I called them. We arranged a morning appt. I think I may have been the first service call of the day, because the technician arrived very close to 8:00 a.m. This was good for me because it meant that I would miss less work. The technician was neat, clean, and attractive. (LOL!) I explained that I had turned the AC-furnace switch off to change the air filter and that when I flipped the switch back on, I had no AC. When the weather turned colder, I also learned that I had no heat. I suspected the unit was getting no electricity. The technician suspected a bad switch, tested for this, and determined that I had a bad switch. He replaced it quite easily. The charge for switch and labor was $56 in addition to the $70 I had paid for diagnostics. (I probably could have taught myself how to replace the switch, but oh well, it was replaced and I had heat.) He used a wire brush to clean something that he said often goes bad and causes problems. (Sorry, but I can't recall the name of the part. Maybe it was a thermocouple.) He didn't seem to mind me hanging around the basement while he worked, and he answered my questions. He also checked the level of carbon monoxide in air coming out of the vents and also checked something on the air intake vents. He spent about 35 to 45 minutes total at my house.

It was an overall good experience. Professional!

They arrived in timely manner. Did tune up for furnace. Also I had several questions - for which I think I got honest answer. Also they made some minor repair to the furnace. I will likely use them again in future.

One call was all it took. The technician had the problem solved within two hours with no problem for us.

Service technician came out and recharged my AC system with 10 lbs of expensive R-22 freon to the tune of $650. Did not explain and give options up front. Within 1 week, system has failed again, and problem not solved. Seider then has a salesman call me and attempt to set up a meeting for a new system. I spoke with Todd Seider, their quality control manager, and asked for a full refund, as their diagnosis was incorrect and ultimately failed within 1 week. He explained that they could not do that, but refunded 50% of the $650. Very unhappy with this experience and the way it was handled after the fact. Will not use them or refer them to anyone. Just an update - the owner, Brian Seider read this review and refused to honor the refund we agreed to. Apparently he was offended by my honest review of his company. Is there a grade lower than "F"??

I had originally purchased an Angie's List service coupon for a diagnostic check not realizing that was basically the cost for coming to the house. In any event, the boilers were cleaned and the older boiler (around 30 years) repaired. The service person indicated that due to the age of the boiler it would become increasingly difficult to repair. I subsequently decided to have it replaced.

He did arrive on time, as scheduled. I showed him the coupon for "Service Call and Diagnostic Check". He did check the boiler thoroughly, but he did not accept the coupon. I had to give him a check for the regular price, $119. He said the coupon would come off any further work. The boiler has not been repaired, just diagnosed. Cost of repairs to the 30+year-old boiler is over $1,000.

Seider Heating and Plumbing was very friendly and customer service oriented. Clayton, their representative, went out of his make sure I was satisfied. He cleaned up the furnace well, worked quickly, and even did a little bit of extra work for me at no charge. I would recommend Seider to anyone else looking for furnace repair.

I originally contracted Seider to perform maintenance on a failing furnace as part of a standard furnace clean & tune. The technician performed all maintenance and identified that failure was likely due to a faulty inducer motor, which had a hefty price tag attached for repair. Given that there wasn't a guarantee that the motor replacement would fix the issue and I would still have to replace, the technician suggested replacement of the heating unit. I received 3 quotes and chose Seider based on reviews and my experience with the technician and sales representative, rather than on cost. They were gracious enough to refund the price of my clean & tune against the total price of the replacement, which was a nice touch. Given that I had a failed unit during the winter time, they prioritized me and scheduled me nearly immediately. The crew was punctual and completed all work. I did have a problem with the unit after installation and called them up a couple of weeks later. The issue was due to the PVC pipe not being pitched correctly, which they took immediate responsibility for and fixed that same day at no charge. I've had no problems with the unit since that time.

My experience with them was fine. They were pretty good. They did the job and they were professional.

21 yr old Bryant Furnace stopped working on 4/11/13. Left message with Seider - they promptly returned our call. A service technician (Clayton Osten) was out to our house by the next morning. Clayton was friendly, courteous & professional. The problem was quickly diagnosed and the replacement parts were located within the area the same morning. Technician was very detailed, clean and throughout. Will definitely call again - very pleased overall!

No pressure, just results. He even gave me some tips on how to so do some routine cleaning myself, and how often I should have a professional come in to service the basics. He wrote up the bill upon completion and we settled up. After he left, I noticed that I was charged for the service call, even though I had purchased the "deal" from Angie's list. I called the office a few days later and explained what happened, and received a check for the over-charge within 2 days. I was very pleased with the overall experience.

The technician was actually early, which was a nice surprise. He diagnosed and was able to fix without any issues or problems.

They came quickly to fix the furnace to get our tenants heat. They are very nice. I was happy that I was able to use the coupon that we purchased from Angie's List.

I sent an online request to Seider on DECEMBER 19, 2012, referencing my Angie's List member coupon for 25% off one tune and clean and have received zero response as of today, JANUARY 3, 2013 (15 days later).

Technician was very punctual and professional. Good communication and easy to do business with. Highly recommended.
