+ -1 moreMowers & Blowers scheduled the appointment within one week of our call. The serviceman arrived as scheduled. He checked the snowblower for proper functioning. There were a few problems with the snowblower dying during use and the worker also educated us about not overfilling the fuel. We have used Mowers & Blowers several times now for minor repairs & tune-ups and have been pleased.
Description of Work: This was a Big Deal purchase for a snow blower tune-up.

+ -1 moreWe found out about Mowers and Blowers through an Angies List Deal last year. We had previously taken our units to repair stores and waited for weeks for them to be attended to. Then we were not confident with the result. That is not the case with Mowers and Blowers because they come to your house, work on your unit in your driveway. The technician tells you what he is doing and shows you the old parts as he removes them. It gave me a lot of confidence in what he was doing.
Description of Work: They tuned up our snow blower, tiller and mower and winterized our tiller and mover. They did their normal quick competent job. They shower up on time and cleaned up the units. They are so convenient and reliable, we will be using them as long as they are around.

+ -1 moreThe beauty of Mowers and Blowers is that they come to your house with their mobile workshop and service your snow blower or lawn mower. You don't have to load it into your car and drop it off and then go back and pick it up. There price was comparable to shops I have taken by mower and blower for a tune up or repair. Every time I have used them they arrived on time, finished the job quickly and the cost was comparable to shops where I had to lug my machine. I would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: I have used Mowers and Blowers three times over the last year. I have had them do a tune up of my snow blower, repair and tune up a lawn mower and repair a snow blower when the cord went inside the blower.

+ -1 moreThey have the option of on line scheduling or phone. I called. they were prompt in returning my phone call. Were on time for their appointment. The work was done onsite (own truck). The tiller could not be repaired on site, needed additional parts. I was returned within the discussed time frame. I am not sure I was billed for the tiller repair.

+ -1 morePete arrived on time, was very helpful and did excellent work. It was very convenient that they could do the work at our home .
Description of Work: Work was performed on 2 lawn mowers. One lawn tractor and one walk behind self-propelled mower. The lawn tractor engine smoked when it was first started, it was determined that an oil leak was causing the problem. That was corrected on site. Also a tune-up was done. The walk behind mower was hard to start, this was also corrected on site in a short time. Because of the excellent work done on our lawn mowers, we also asked then to correct a problem with our snow blower. This work will be scheduled at a later date.

+ -1 moreSince spriing arrived VERY early this year, I was undoubtedly one of the many folks who called for service. I had to leave a message but figured these folks were really busy. I got a call-back on the following Sunday morning and an appointment for service was scheduled. Josh of Mowers and Blowers showed up on time and took care of the mower onsite (which is why I love this company). It took about half an hour and it runs like new. I'm a repeat customer and will use them again. I give a glowing recommendation to anyone looking for easy, reasonable, and reliable mower service.
Description of Work: Walk behind Toro Recycler needed cleaning and tune-up. The air filter was also changed.

+ -1 moreI was impressed at the convenience of this service. I plan to use them this Spring for my lawn mower tuneup.
Description of Work: There was an "Angie's Big Deal" tune up offer at the time and I liked the idea of not having to cart the mower or snow blower to a repair facility or pay extra to have them picked up. Mowers & Blowers have a large fully equipped truck with a complete repair shop inside. All they need to do is run an extension cord to a power outlet in your garage. Your mower or snow blower work is done right at your home and they are ready to use immediately. The "Big Deal" was for a $40 tune up for my snow blower. They greased the transmission and fittings, checked drive wheels and tires, adjusted drive belts, checked the auger, and added fresh oil. Costs for shop supplies, spark plug, compression and choke test and carb adjustment, at my request, added another $80 to the bill. They also adjusted the choke cable on my lawn mower while they were there, and came back to readjust it when the cable had slipped, without extra charges.

+ -1 moreIt was fantastic. I did not have to pack up the machine, leaking gas and all, into my car and haul it to a service center. The service center came to me and the work was completed in practically no time at all.
Description of Work: My Toro 21" Powerclear snow thrower was leaking gas every time that I poured it in. All over my garage and got to the point where it would not run at all. It turned out to be a loose/failing gasket in the carburetor. The technician was very prompt and arrived when he said he would. He took the snow thrower to his mobile workshop at the end of the driveway and in less than 40 minutes he had fixed the carburetor and even installed a fuel shut off valve for a nominal charge so I would never have the problem again. My snow thrower has not been a problem since.

Description of Work: I had a gas-powered power washer that did not start after sitting over the winter season. I was unable to solve the problem, and then called Mowers & Blowers due to their mobile services. After my call, I had an appointment scheduled for 1-2 days later, and the service call was on-time (phone call beforehand) and completed successfully. The technician took apart the needed components...gas tank, fuel feed, etc...cleaned everything up and had the unit put back together and running within 30 minutes. I will definitely use the company again if the need arises.

+ -1 moreThese guys are great. They couldn't make the original appointment and offered to stop by on Sunday at a time that was convenient for me. They take time to explain everything that was done, provide recommendations on the overall health of the mower and gave me some tips on prolonging the life of the mower. Said I had been dangerously low on oil and even left the remainder of the bottle with me. I use them each spring and fall (snowblower) and will continue to use them until I stop mowing the grass and clearing snow myself.

I decided to call and the Pete from Mowers & Blowers said let's take a look at your current snowblower and see what is wrong because it might be fixable. And, it was! The method of repair where the repair truck comes to you and does not take the snowblower away is wonderful. I've seen so many companies who have reports recalling snowblowers not being returned on time, etc. I found the repair person to be early to arrive, friendly, knowledgeable, and honest! He replaced and repaired what was necessary to get my snowblower running and it was a great experience. I will use them again and recommend them to my family. A wonderful company to do business with.

This is the first time I have used this company and it was great having them come to me and not having to haul the snow blower in for service myself. Also the price was less than I paid last year when I took it in myself.
